Property was exactly how it shows on the website.

Pretty much okay. Issues with heating (cold January--downstairs was cold). the skull decor was off-putting and if anyone is odor sensitive, the scents in the plugins were removed during our time. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, cutlery--something we have had issues with at other accommodations. Location is good.

Beautiful property loved the tiered decking but we’re disappointed that we could not use the garage and the pool for the complex was not heated

Great location!
Very pretty views when looking out to the left.
Well appointed.
Comfortable beds.
Kitchen table and chairs are very small.
Owner offered to remove the fridge from garage so we could park in it but there still wouldn't have been enough room to park our car in the garage as owners car was parked in the garage.
Owners did a very nice job in refurbishing their condo.

Lovely property, fantastic outdoor space on the deck.
Property was just as in the pictures. Very clean. Everything you would need for your stay was included. Absolutely loved the outdoor deck area, so relaxing. Looking forward to staying even longer next time.

Lakefront feel in the middle of Phoenix
My family had a great time on vacation in Gilbert and area, and this place was an incredible home base. Beautiful to be able to sit by the water for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Property well stocked and so comfortable. Hope to stay again, thank you!

On The Water In Arizona
Marvelous, simply marvelous, my family had a wonderful experience at this 2 bedroom 2 ½ bathroom condo on the water in Gilbert. Exceptionally clean and well maintained it was the perfect home away from home. Excellent communication with the owners. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to a repeat stay.

Fabulous place
Beautiful home in a great location. Close to shopping restaurants and entertainment. Very quiet area. Very comfortable beds the place has everything you need. Enjoyed the deck in the morning and evenings. Enjoyed our stay here.

Award Winning Deck
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Caven & Nettie's place. The large deck is amazing & resort like. Their home is elegantly & tastefully decorated. The upgraded kitchen is functionally well designed & beautiful, so nice to work in. Everything was well stocked from paper towels to kleenex etc. There is a recycle bin just a block down from the townhome.
The Islands neighborhood is beautifully landscaped & very well maintained. We felt safe there and it was quiet. We met many friendly neighbors from other states & several groups from Alberta.
Caven was always attentive to our questions. This property is a gem.

Great place.
This is a true gem of a property. Having this much water in the desert is a real treat. Their were lots of ducks paddling by just off the deck, and I saw a great blue heron one day. It is a very quiet and relaxing place.

Beautiful, relaxing lakeside townhome
We loved our stay. This home has everything you need with very cute décor and beautiful remodeling as well. The back deck amazing, so peaceful with ducks and coots swimming by and the occasional neighbor on their boat. I highly recommend this for a relaxing stay in the East Valley.

Ideal Vacation Rental
This condo meets or exceeds all expectations. It is clean, beautiful, comfortable and just a fun place to stay. The triple layered deck down to the lake and the beautiful neighborhood lights from homes along the water make you feel as if you’re in a fancy island resort. Even with the weather above 100 degrees during the day, we could sit on the deck at night in complete comfort…it was so relaxing. The home is close to shopping and restaurants. The owners were incredible to work with, and, it’s so obvious they are committed to providing a wonderful stay for their guests. We weren’t there for a vacation, but felt in a way that it was, because we enjoyed the condo so much.

So peaceful!
Oh my goodness from start to finish our stay in Gilbert was amazing. Caven was available for every question that we had, and answered with such kindness. My times on their beautiful balcony on the water in the mornings were so peaceful, I love my little family of ducks that I saw in the morning along with all the different sounds of the birds. And our times on the deck in the evenings were so beautiful. We even played cards under the umbrella which has lights built into it.Really comfortable beds! We will be coming back to this property

Beautiful condo, well maintained and very clean. We loved being on the deck and enjoying the view. The owners are very helpful and easy to contact. We would love to stay here again when we come to visit out family!!

Hidden Gem Lakeside
This is our fourth visit at this beautiful property! The owners and neighbors are lovely and make it feel like a second home. Early mornings and late evenings by the water are our favorite times of the day. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. Communication with the hosts is easy and timely and they go above and beyond to accommodate. Our next won't come soon enough!

Perfect!
This was our second stay at The Islands with Caven and Nettie as our hosts. We love everything about this place from the location to the amenities. The condo is clean, updated and well maintained. We were able to spend most of our time on the deck enjoying the sun and warm weather. It provides a great view of sundown every night. This is our first choice whenever we return to the Phoenix area!

A bonus is the deck on the canal where you can enjoy sunsets and people watch as they float by on their pontoons. We will definitely consider this property when we return to the Phoenix area.

Great property and location!
The property has a great deck and is in a quiet neighborhood that is well maintained. The home was clean and well maintained. The location was good as most of the Phoenix area could be reached in less than 30 minutes.

Great Home
We truly enjoyed our stay on this property. It was clean, updated and in a great location. The back outdoor space is amazing. We definitely enjoyed the quiet, and beauty of the water and wild life from the back deck . Unfortunately our stay was cut short by the Covid-19 pandemic, when we were asked to return home by our govt. The owner was very gracious and understanding. When things get back to whatever is normal, we will definitely return. We highly recommend this property.

Winter Warmth
Lakeside living. A slice of Florida in the Southwest! The location was quiet and restful yet convenient to groceries, dining, etc. Two couples spent two weeks and loved every minute. The property matched the photos and description in all aspects. We enjoyed afternoons on the deck and grilling in the evening. “En Suites” in both bedrooms was a real plus. Caven was easily accessible. He checked in often but was never intrusive. He always responded to questions quickly.
We would absolutely return to The Islands when our travel takes us to Phoenix.

Terribly disappointed
The floors were not properly cleaned before arrival; kitchen had black stuff on floor which we cleaned when we arrived.
There was an extremely detailed notebook about rules that was sent to us after the rental was made. Unable to wear shoes inside. Owner complained about us moving a bench, which was reported to us immediately and we moved it back.
Owner accused us after we left of leaving the place a mess, even though we did a thorough cleaning before leaving. He accused us of leaving paper pieces, and claimed we left some sort of writing on a counter. We believe that he found any excuse and invented reasons to charge us for damages since we didn’t stay for a full month. Very disappointed.

Snow birds.
We stayed for 6 weeks and were very comfortable. The townhome is in a great location and has been very nicely updated. It is clean, well stocked and in a quiet location with no neighborhood noise. Caven is very accommodating and responsive. We love the Islands and plan on staying here next Winter.

Lovely townhome in Gilbert
Beautifully decorated and stocked with everything one would need for a wonderful relaxing stay. Cooking was a delight in the upscale kitchen. Home backs to the Islands waterway (not sure what to call it) which was so inviting to sit and enjoy the sun and the pontoon boats going by. Caven is a wonderful host and we felt welcomed and accommodated. The location was excellent and was only a few miles from our conference but is easily accessible from the airport and major highways. Highly recommend staying here if you ever come to the Phoenix area!

Beautiful Condo in Gilbert
Vacationed from NH to the amazing city of Arizona. Property is amazing. Centrally located around shopping, food of all sorts, coffee, etc. Community pool was very quiet when we went. Garage parking is a +. Property manager responsive and gave amazing recommendations on what to do for fun in the area. Exceptional experience overall.

Caven & Nettie were responsive and very helpful before we even made our reservation. I was able to easily communicate with them during our stay as well. I will definitely recommend this property to family who will be staying in the area.

Second visit to this property and couldn't wait to return!
We spent time at Caven Nettie's property during the holidays and loved it so much we booked a girls' trip for summer break. We spent every morning and every evening on their beautiful new deck enjoying the water and the ducks... watching the sun rise and set. The property is nice and clean and offers everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. Caven and Nettie are wonderful to work with and great at communicating. This is an amazing property and hidden gem!
