Villa Tak Kae really is a touch of paradise. The villa has been refurbished to a really high standard and offers beautiful, well equipped accommodation in a luxurious setting. The villa, garden and pool area were all spotless clean and maintained. The location is perfect, a 10 min walk to a quiet, sandy beach. Plenty of restaurants, bars and places for a massage along the beach. I’d highly recommend dinner, watching the sun set over the sea. A short walk in the other direction leads to a good choice of restaurants and bars in the town. There are 2 supermarkets nearby and a night market is held twice a week. The owners of this villa have done an amazing job. It feels really homely and they have thought about everything that you could possibly need for an amazing holiday. The welcome pack has great local information to help you find your way around. I would definitely recommend staying at Villa Tak Kae and can’t wait to return myself.

We spent 3 weeks enjoying all the delights of this villa and it was the perfect base to enjoy the surrounding area. It is perfectly situated to walk to the beach (10 minutes) and the local restaurants and amenities. The villa itself and breathtaking when you first see it. It is spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with all the things you need but the highlights for us were the Pool and the Sala. The pool is a great size for everyone to enjoy it and for us it was great to swim after dark which most hotels do not let you do. The Sala was great at all times of day as it provides shade from the sun and there is a breeze up there to escape the hottest parts of the day. The view is amazing over the fields and it is a great place to enjoy a drink and the sunset. We enjoyed one of the best holidays we've ever had here and we can't wait to plan a trip to go back.

My husband and I as well as a friend couple spent a week early January. Everything was well organized since the very beginning and John was very responsive which we appreciated. We both have a toddler and John organize with his local team for additional baby chair and cot. The villa was very clean, very well located (only 5 min from Tesco and the weekly local market). We walked to the beach everyday - it only takes about 15/20 min and it is a very nice walk in the coutryside. We highly recommend the villa and if we come back on Bang Tao, we will certainly book the villa. Best Maud

This was my second stay at villa Tak Kae, I loved it so much I had to go back again & im sure it won’t be my last time. The Villa is beautiful, very spacious with a stunning pool and finished to a very high specification. The Villa is situated a short walk to the beach and only 15 minutes walk to a lively area full of restaurants and bars. There are 2 supermarkets in walking distance plus a fabulous market twice a week right on the doorstep. The property is well maintained & you can request that the house or pool/ garden area be serviced as often as you wish. There are all the facilities to cook for yourself or there is room service available from the onsite restaurant too. I also had a fantastic massage in the on site spa!! This truly is paradise and really caters for all holiday tastes. I would definitely recommend

We had a wonderful family holiday staying at this villa. It is part of The Residence which is a resort/gated community of very private villas and a spa. The villa is luxurious in a tasteful, understated way. I would actually say the photographs do not do the villa justice. The family loved having a private pool, especially as it is salt water. The area gets plenty sun morning and afternoon and the pool is a good temperature. There is also plenty shade in the table/seating area. We never used the roof top BBQ and seating area but it was tastefully done. We are so glad we chose this over a hotel. As well as a private pool, it is so useful having the option of a kitchen (dishwasher, fridge freezer, cooker) and utility room (washing machine and tumble dryer). The villa is in a great location. It was less than 10 min walk to Bang Tao beach. We often paid 100 baht for tired legs and a tuk tuk back in the evening. Although there are a lot of hotels, the beach is 6km long and it never felt busy, especially compared to some of the other Phuket beaches. There are options for a meal on the beach and some great beach massage huts. We were warned parts of the beach drop off quickly but we never had a problem with the kids playing in the water. In the other direction, it is again a short walk (or 100 baht tuktuk) to some shops and restaurants including a Boots, Tesco Lotus, McDonalds, Taste restaurant (recommended) and a great cafe for breakfast called Worra. There are a couple of different night markets in this area. Opposite The Residence is a Thai restaurant called Bamboo - we really liked the Thai dishes in there and is was well priced. Our only regret is we did not book in for two weeks. We would love to go back.

Pictures don't do justice! This villa is gorgeous! From the moment we were met at the boat pier (traveling from Koh Yai Noi Island) until we were escorted to the airport after our brief 4 night stay, our expectation was more than satisfied. Phuket can be very busy and though we enjoyed the hustle and bustle, coming "home" at the end of the day meant privacy and luxury. The beds and linens made for a comfortable and restful sleep. We must assume the host would be most accommodating but, honestly, there were no issues whatsoever. Other than their kind inquires, there was no need to contact them. This villa is perfect for couples traveling together as there are three ensuite bedrooms. There's everything you need to enjoy staying "in" but you will be tempted to try the many beaches and restaurants. Two exceptional restaurants worthy of mention is Catch on Bang Tao Beach and LaParisa on Kamala Beach; both suitable for special celebrations. A tour of Old Town Phuket is a must as well as a tour along the coastline. Thank you, John and Julia for sharing your wonderful villa. It is so well maintained that I cannot imagine it not being appreciated. Next time we will definitely stay longer!

The villa is fantastic...the pool, the lounge, the sala and BBQ plus the bedrooms all with own ensuites were superb. Close to beach, great bars and restaurants.....perfect for a couple or families. John and Julia are fantastic couple to talk to and their villa is a credit to them. Amazing attention to details. Loved the surround sound system. Thank you John and Maree

My wife and I have the villa for a month, two weeks on our own and then two weeks with our god son his wife and three children, aged 13, 9 and 7. We have stayed in this villa three times, two with previous owner and now with the new owner John. The booking progress was simple and john was very helpful and accommodating with the payment process. The villa has been very well refurbished and looks really nice, as when we stayed there last time it was getting to look a little tired. The villa has a nice large swimming pool, which the children didn't want to leave, we all had so much fun in there. The pool and garden are very well maintained and kept nice and clean. The solarium upstairs over looks field where water buffalo go to wallow in the mud holes, great to watch, it's also nice for sitting and having a nice relaxing evening drink and watching the sun go down. There is also a barbecue up there. The management team and staff were all very helpful and friendly. The beach is just a 15min walk, you will find a few restaurants on the way, we have always used the See Sea Restaurant which is right on the beach, Great food and really friendly staff. The restaurant opposite the entrance to the Residence complex, the Bamboo restaurant does great Thai food at a reasonable price, does delivery service as well, Kom and his wife who run the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. There is a Tesco's Lotus just 10min walk from villa and a night market which is held on Mondays and Thursday. Hopefully will be going back to Villa Tak Kae next year, Love the place, Love the area and the people are great.

My family and I recently spent 10 nights at villa Tak Kae and loved it. The location is 10 min walk to the beach, we had extended family staying with us so we hired a minivan (the villa has a garage) to get around and meant we could change up our beach location each day (although our favourite spot is the one closest to the villa - bamboo restaurants and bars on the beach...very lazy and family friendly...). If you fancy something a little more lively there are a number of beach clubs on Bang Tao. 'Catch' is the nearest to the villa which serves a wicked cocktail in very plush surroundings! The villa is a great size and with 4 adults and 3 children staying there was plenty of space to share or hideaway if we fancied some quiet time with a book...the large tv and surround system was a real bonus and the pool and gardens are amazing! The Villa has a very luxurious feel inside and out. John the owner was very helpful and responsive if we had any questions and the villa was meticulously maintained with a daily maid service and full clean every couple of days. CBRE (the Villa management team) were also very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Also a must is the Bamboo restaurant out the front of the villa complex. Great food, reasonably priced and lovely people!! All in a fantastic stay and cant wait to go back!

My wife and I stayed thirteen nights just not long enough this beautiful detached villa set in an abundance of Asia trees and plants in a private and safe avenue. This was the first time we stayed in the villa and were delighted it was exactly as the owner’s description the villa was clean and comfortable. Two large master size bedrooms with en-suite and a smaller twin bed bedroom a fully fitted European kitchen and large dining room and lounge opens to the side sun terrace and large 12m pool. Each room has air condition and fan. The villa is fully serviced with a daily maid and pool man /gardener The upper Terrance with its stunning views is time to spend early evening watching the buffalo with their calves as the sun set over Bangtao bay while preparing the barbeque for the evening dinner The villa is well situated 500m from the local shops where you can purchase all your fresh food there is also a wine collection store selling European food as well. 500m in the other direction will take you to Bangtao beach and the Andaman Sea you can walk or local transports can be found just outside the entrance. Eating out in Thailand is always a pleasure there is no shortage of restaurants and bars an experience to be enjoyed. Since staying in the villa I understand the new owners have refurbished the villa to a higher standard we will be returning in November.

Our family traveled with our 3 year old and our 3 month old. The house is in immaculate condition. It was just renovated and all appliances, cutlery , furniture and finishings are top notch, premium quality. The rooms are spacious, lots of closet space. The two bathrooms have showers , tubs and outdoor showers. The whole house is nicely decorated. Appliances are brand new Electrolux. The house is set up to have an amazing holiday, all you have to do is do groceries if you want or you can just order food to the villa from the residence management office. It's a perfect combination of privacy with the perks of being able to order "room service". The location of the house is in a quiet residential complex. Small and private, and only a few minutes from the beach. You can walk to the beach but we rented a car for convenience since we had small children with us. Regardless, I would recommend renting a car. Customer service from owners John and Julia is above expectation. Response time and quality of responses is excellent. They truly work hard to give you suggestions, recommendations and make your stay so much easier. Once we arrived, their staff are also exceptional with a true thai feeling of excellent customer service. They even helped us get a nanny to help us care to our 3 month old. The nanny was excellent. They can also arrange a chef if needed (we didn't require this). The pool is large and nice, you can have music outdoors while the kids can have cartoons indoors (all via a home theater system). The outdoor furniture is modern and comfortable and there is a dining table if you want to eat outdoors poolside. The sala is a great addition upstairs to change scenery. We did a BBQ and it was nice to be upstairs, and see the fields next to it, with cows and water buffaloes roaming around it. The area is quiet and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There is a supermarket 3 minutes away. This is a supermarket for the basics. There is another supermarket 10 minutes away called Villa Market and there you can find all kinds of goodies, from foreign brands to all kinds of wine. The beach of Bangtao is nice and long, it's perfect for long walks. Overall a great stay and we will be planning to come back again next year. next year we will bring more friends as the house is large enough to accommodate plenty of people, two families can enjoy a great holiday here.

Villa Tak Kae is a private villa, newly refurbished to a very high standard; the fixtures (including high-end TV and internal/external speaker system) are all of superior quality and it has been tastefully furnished throughout. The pool is also newly re-tiled and is superb; large for a good swim and set in a lovely walled garden that is not overlooked offering a real sense of privacy. There is an additional very large 'Sala' area upstairs that is ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine as the sun slowly sets! We didn't have the opportunity to use but there is also a BBQ here. The bedrooms are all large with ample storage space and the bathrooms are really cool with double basins and large baths with both internal and external showers! The villa is an easy 15min walk to Bang Tao beach with access to a very welcoming and friendly Beach Club - "Bliss". Bang Tao beach is very long with soft sand that continues under the sea offering good and safe swimming. There are also some great restaurants within easy walking from the villa and I would particularly recommend Taste (international and Thai), Sugar Cane (superb Thai) and, for a great beach experience, Sea See (great value, great food and great view). All in all a really great place to stay, top quality private villa in a great location (only 20mins taxi to Phuket old town) - we will return!!

This review is for the property. We stayed with the previous owner. (Changed ownership in May 2016). Excellent Property: We loved the property. It is well laid out, and there is a lot of privacy in this property (even for 7 people!). The pool and the open villa are wonderful, as well as the roof terrace. We would definitely attempt to stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

This review is for this property, but with the previous owner (changed hands in spring 2016). We spent a fantastic week at the villa. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place to base a Phuket vacation. The villa is located close to Bang Tao beach (we had small kids so we took the shuttle every time at 150 THB, but you could theoretically walk it), which is not as crowded as other beaches to the south. Bliss Beach club is a nice shady location to sit if you need to get out of the sun, and they give free chairs to Residence guests--tell your waiter. The house pool is ideal for the hot afternoons. Airport transfers were flawless, even though we really didn't want to get picked up on our last day there... My son asked if we could live there forever. Potential renters should note that there is no phone on the property, so make sure to pick up a sim card at the airport.
