Perfect location at the top of the village with amazing views. Hostess Manuela was friendly with brilliant English and a great sense of humour. Due to thickness of the walls the rooms were cool even in the 40oC heat. A fan would be useful for that excessive temperature to ensure circulation of air. Terrace has afternoon sun so is hot. Love Spello and it’s inhabitants. Great place to stay

We had such an amazing time in Spello. The apartment was more beautiful than the pictures and the sunsets we experienced on the terrace were breathtaking!!! Manuela was very responsive and provided great information on the area. We were very pleased and had a uniquely lovely time. I highly recommend staying here!!!

What a magical place Spello is, and this property must be one of the best. The patio is huge with wonderful views over the valley and towards Perugia. If you are unlucky enough to have poor weather, the inside is also a good size, but we spent very little time there. We were in Spello with another couple staying nearby, and we frequently used the grill to dine together with the view - plenty of room for that, although the restaurants are also excellent. Manuela and Antonio were super helpful and speak excellent English. They live nearby, so were always available if we needed anything. We certainly hope to return.

Comfortable apartment with a large private terrace and spectacular views. Directions were difficult to follow and we had to have the property manager meet us and actually direct us to the piazza near the apartment so we could unload our luggage and then find available parking outside the walls of the town. The location inside the walls of old Spello had pluses such as proximity to amenities such as restaurants and historical ambience but also a negative regarding distance to and availability of parking. The shower was a bare minimum curtain enclosing a small area with poor drainage in front of the bidet and a pallet style platform to elevate you off the floor of the bathroom. During the weekdays there was undisclosed construction going on next door with a very noisy tile saw making an incredible racket and making it impossible to enjoy the terrace while the construction noise was occurring. After notifying the property manager of the noise, he spoke to the owner of the property and the work was limited to beginning after 8 am and since we were usually gone in the later morning and afternoon, it remediated the issue for us. We really appreciated the small notes left throughout the apartment by Manuela to provide advice/information regarding the property. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the apartment and the property managers, Anthony and Manuela, were pleasant and responsive to our requests and I would not hesitate to return in the future and highly recommend the property for location and ambience.

Our Spello apartment had a fabulous view, was very clean and has very attentive owners. We hope to return to Spello snd stay in the same apartment.

This was our second stay here - we love the cozy, charming apartment and the nice view from the patio. Manuela is a wonderful host and the town of Spello is beautiful. We will return again!

I spent 6 nights in Spello at this wonderful apartment and could easily have stayed longer. It was in the best location in town, close to everything, but on a quiet street. the apt was comfortable and well equipped with a fantastic outdoor patio and gorgeous view. Manuela was a lovely hostess. Checking in was easy and Manuela came to see me off at the end of my stay. Spello was the perfect town to stay in, it is so pretty and quaint, and also a great base camp to visit surround towns. Would recommend this apt to everyone.

Charming apartment,so quiet,truly loved the terrace,the view,and the location.We visited other local villages and Spello was the best!Would not hesitate to go back.Do not miss the Roman Aqueduct trail and the Roman Villa Museum,both are walking distance !

This apartment was our Umbrian home for 12 nights. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The beautiful terrace was appreciated and enjoyed! Spello worked well as a home base for us to explore the other towns in the area (rental car needed). The restaurants in Spello are amazing. Manuela was a great host! Thank you! We enjoyed our stay in Manuela’s apartment. Spello had a heat wave while staying so we enjoyed the cool provided by the ancient metre thick walls. Apartment is very comfortable with all amenities and lovely terrace outlook. Spello is a lovely cared for village with a mix of restaurants and wine bars. Felt very at home. I and my husband so enjoyed our five days in Spello. The property is unique, full of history and character with spectacular views. Manuela could not have been more accommodating and kind. We look forward to returning one day soon!

I can’t recommend this property enough! The location is perfect. Very safe. We slept like babies. The terrace is beautiful. Everything you need is there in the apartment. The people of Spello are so welcoming. You won’t regret your stay here. We had a 2 year old with us and it was very comfortable and convenient.

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful, comfortable apartment which has a wonderful view from the terrace. Spello is a marvelous little town with great places to eat, beautiful lanes to wander down, and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We would definitely stay there again. The owner, Manuela was very nice and gave us a warm welcome.

Fantastic location in the hill town of Spello. We just wish we had more time to enjoy it. Two days was not enough. This is a place you could hang-out, sip wine on the patio with a beautiful sunset, take a walk through narrow ancient hill town paths to a variety of places to eat. Amenities abounded: two expresso coffee makers (and some coffee, a bottle of wine to greet us. Best of all was the hospitality of Nadia, who filled in for the owners while they were on vacation. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy. We were!!

My wife and I spent 5 wonderful nights in Manuela’s charming Spello apartment and could not have been happier. Communication with Manuela was very easy, via the VRBO app, she told us where to meet her and directed us to close and free parking. She gave us a through introduction to the apartment and was available to answer any questions during our stay. Spello is a charming and restful town with some cute shops and really good restaurants. It is not overrun with tourists, by any means, and that was appreciated. Assisi is a just 10 minute drive away when you want to partake of those activities. Spello is a beautiful town, where it is evident how much the residents care for it. There are flowers everywhere, everything is neat and tidy, no graffiti anywhere. We spent hours just walking the little lanes and at nearly every turn we’d exclaim “Wow!” The apartment is perfectly situated with wonderful vistas, the patio is just like the pictures show it. The interior is extremely clean, well furnished with everything you might need and it’s comfortable. The kitchen was perfectly adequate for cooking wonderful meals. We like to have our main meal mid-day at a nice restaurant and cook a light dinner in the evening, this was very easy in this apartment. The bed was the best we have slept in our entire 32 day trip (staying at 7 different apartments). If you are looking for an experience you will never forget, this could be what you are looking for.

Photographs do not do justice to this lovely home in beautiful Spello. Manuela provided a warm welcome and made us feel at home. We enjoyed every moment of our time in the region. Coming back to sit and relax to watch sunset was a special bonus - no two can ever be the same. We would love to come back.

The owners were wonderful. Antonio even gave us a ride to Assisi at the end of our stay. The town is amazing and the apartment is beautiful. Very well decorated and quiet. The view patio is wonderful for the sunset. So private. Great restaurant recommendations. Comfortable bed. Can’t wait to return.

This is a fantastic place - we stayed a whole week and just loved it. The terrace has a stunning view across the valley to the hills - with a glorious sunset each night to enjoy (even after the great summer storm that greeted us!). During the hot hours, the apartment inside is cool and relaxing and the bed is very comfortable. Spello is a lovely little town - loads of choices for eating all of which we tried were excellent. Manuela and Antonio were lovely to deal with and helpful - both by message and in person.

It's really too bad that the highest rating that we can score on our stay here is a 5, as this property warrants a solid 10!!! The photos and description listed on the site fully represent this beautiful and special place but actually being there is even more amazing and exceeds all expectations. We stayed 30 days, living in the property, using it as a home base while we explored Umbria and immersed ourself as much as possible into the Spello community. This property was quite simply outstanding in every aspect. Special thanks go to our hosts Manuella and Antonio who were so helpful and provided such great insights and information that made our stay so memorable. This was our second trip to Umbria so we already had a good idea of what places we wanted to visit. Spello is perfectly situated, so then it was a question of finding a place to stay that would allow us to cook a few meals if we wanted to, and relax in the evenings after a full day of sightseeing. This place was perfect! The right size, with all of the amenities we wanted, and within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafes, etc. The large terrace and stunning view were additional bonus features. Manuela was a wonderful hostess. We highly recommend this authentic, tucked-away gem.

Everything about this apartment was wonderful. It was easy to find, parking was close by, and all the restaurants and bars were within easy walking distance. The apartment itself was beautiful. It retained the charm of its origins, but with all the comforts of modern living. The terrace was spectacular! It was our favorite spot for a glass of wine and to watch the lights come on and the stars to come out at night. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed and bath linens were luxurious. Manuela was so easy to work with and is a delightful person. We would happily stay here again!

From the start ie. the booking, the checking in, the stay and checking out it was an absolute pleasure to deal with the owners Manuela and Antonio. The parking is close by, is free and there is easy access to the house even with heavy luggage. The house is spotless, beautifully renovated , full of character and very comfortable for two. It is very quiet and private although, if the neighbours are home, they could overlook the terrace. The kitchen is well equipped and there is even a small oven for warming up meals. And then there is the large terrace on the same level as the living area with stunning views over the country side. It faces west-north-west so the sunsets are beautiful but it can become a bit hot in the afternoon and there is no shelter for rain. There is a table outside as well as chairs and deck chairs. We would buy top quality prepared food from the supermarket just outside the old village (not the one in the village itself) and had most of our evening meals outside on the terrace. You would struggle to find a better restaurant. Breakfast is also a winner on the terrace. Manuela and Antonio live in Spello and are only too happy to assist in the unlikely event of a problem. All in all we were not disappointed at all and had a lovely stay.
