Villa 14 was clean with an amazing location. Owners and property manager were very responsive throughout. The house was very warm during the day, but the owners shared a fan with us from their own unit and during our stay a split unit was installed in the main room - this cooled the space nicely. The TV never worked, but presumably this problem will be solved shortly and not a big problem when you’re in paradise.This was the second time we have stayed in a villa in Blue Bay and, once again, we were very happy.

Villa is in a great location, a short 5 minute walk to the beach. The area itself is ideal for a family vacation. This development is safe and quiet. The unit is well equipped for cooking, laundry and making coffee. The AC in the bedrooms works great. There is no AC in the main living area and during the summer the unit gets hot, too hot to enjoy the living area or cook during the day. Patio is a nice size. Note that it gets buggy at certain times of the day. The reason for the 4 stars - the unit itself needs some updates - lighting in bathrooms, bedding in rooms, TV and furniture in living room.
Overall this is a great location and we hope to be back.

Pros: owners are responsive, spacious villa, close to a nice beach
Cons: the property manager Will is the textbook example of someone who hates his job. WiFi and AC didn't work, and the kitchen tap was leaking badly. Will fixed these issues, but then when the next day we discovered there were no trash bags, he protested telling us that "he put them in the drawer himself". The drawer where he "put the trash bags" was empty.
After 11 days of our stay we were entitled to a clean set of bed sheets. After hunting him down to give us bedding (with a comment that he "already came here twice"), he refused to give us the new set of clean beach towels even though he just had to take them from the locked cabinet in the bedroom. Given that there is no dryer, it is not possible for the washed towels to air dry overnight and we needed towels daily. This would mean that we either need to use the same dirty beach towels for 2 weeks, or use washed beach towels that are soaking wet. Eventually, I had to contact the owners to have our towels replaced.
The last day Will refused to give us 1 hour late check out, which with 3 kids would mean a lot to us. The villa was empty that day, but Will just took pleasure in not being helpful.
Also, at the time of booking, nowhere in the listing was it clarified that we will be charged in cash for the use of electricity and water at the end of your stay.
So, unfortunately instead of relaxing, we constantly felt like Will was doing us a huge favor.

Stayed here on our honeymoon and it was exactly as expected. Short walk to the beach (5 min) and close to the pool. Will was the property manager was extremely attentive and helped anytime we had questions. We ran AC in one of the bedrooms nearly the entirety of our stay, cooked, used the fans when we were in the living room, and used the washing machine a few times and electric / water bill was $120 USD for 8 nights which we thought was reasonable. Do not leave any food on the counters overnight (or at all) because ants will be all over it, but non-existant if kept clean. Couldnt be happier with our accomodations, there was plenty of space for the price and location can't be beat. Blue Bay was our favorite area on Curacao. Thank you, looking forward to coming back!

Our family of 5 (2 parents and 3 kids age 16, 14, and 11) loved our stay! The villa was a great size, clean and lovely. Blue Bay resort was amazing and we are so glad we landed there. The best private beach and amazing snorkeling right off the bay. We had a fantastic trip! Highly recommend it!

The property was overall as described. The one negative that hit us was the fact that water and electric were not included. It was set up that a reading was taken at the beginning and end. Then a cash payment was expected upon departure. When I asked the property manager about approximate costs we were told an average of $70 to $80 dollars for the week. When the final reading was done it was $130. We only ran the air conditioning during the night in the bedrooms. Not a major expense but with rental in Curacao 12 or more times I have never encountered this processs. Upon looking at the listing in VRBO we could not find any mention of the additional fee. It was after making the down payment that it was mentioned in the receipt. I was told it was the way the rental properties were handled in Blue Bay. If I had caught it before it was beyond the cancellation periiod I probably would not have done the rental. Beyond that, the property was fine. The layout of the living area was a little strange to us with limited seating inside.

Loved the gated community and how close it was to a wonder beach area - the island is easy to get around by car - lots of nice restaurants on property and wonderful staff. Loved the live music on the beach with a bonfire!

Villa 14 is in a perfect and quiet location of Blue Bay Village, yet very close to the beach. Great location to explore the rest of the island - especially the beautiful beaches to the west yet close enough for trips in to Willemstad. The Villa is comfortably equipped and furnished - especially with the addition of the new mattress in the main bedroom. Perhaps some of the pillows could use renewal. As it is a stand alone Villa there is little noise or distraction from neighbouring villas. Property management was available to answer questions and requests.
A great place to relax and dream as you watch the parrots, hummingbirds and troupials fly above.
Definitely would return.

We come back to Curaçao each year and love to stay on Blue Bay, particularly in the Village section. Villa 14 is one of these great houses there. We particularly love the huge porch. Friendly owners and a responsive manager made our stay in Villa 14 this year extra pleasant. We immediately booked it again for next year.

Resort experience for great price
The house was comfortable for all six of us adult sized individuals. Beach passes provided for the resort beach. 3-5 min walk to the beach. Great snorkeling in blue bay. Close to Centrum grocery store. Manager gave cell number for any issues. Would definitely stay there again.

Superschöne Anlage
Wir haben hier 3 Wochen verbracht und haben die Zeit genossen. Wil war immer ansprechbar bei Fragen. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und der Weg zum Strand und zur Bar bzw. zum Restaurant ist ein Spaziergang von ca. 5 Minuten in einem tropischen Garten. Vom Haus aus haben wir Flamingos beobachtet. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Wir bedanken uns bei Wil und Rob für die schöne Zeit hier.

Wonderful villa in great location in Curacao
Great villa in a superb location on the island. The villa is in excellent shape and has a wonderful large deck, on which we spent many hours with our young children. The villa is close to a pool, and the walk to the fabulous beach was minutes, too. The overall development where the villa is located is great: close to groceries, easy access to all parts of the island. Rob and Selma were responsive, gracious hosts, and the local property manager was great, as well. Highly recommended. Thanks for making the stay in Curacao such a nice one!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in gepflegter Lage
Unser Aufenthalt in Villa 14 war sehr schön. Wir wurden freundlich vom Property Manager empfangen und nach einer kurzen Einweisung war die Villa unser. Die Villa ist einstöckig, es gibt daher keine Mitbewohner im Haus (manche der Villas sind zweistöckig). Wir waren zu Viert unterwegs, in der Villa war alles vorhanden was wir gebraucht haben. Es gibt auch eine Waschmaschine, die direkt am Haus ist. Zu unserer Überraschung wurde auch alle 4 Tage grob gereinigt und die Handtücher gewechselt. Die Villa liegt in der Residential Area von Blue Bay, ist sehr ruhig neben einem Golfplatz gelegen, in einer schönen bepflanzten Anlage die auch über einen Gemeinschaftspool verfügt. Parkplätze sind ganz in der Nähe verfügbar und zum Strand sind es nur 3-4 min zu gehen. Unsere Fragen während des Aufenthaltes wurden umgehend per WhatsApp beantwortet und sowohl beim Check-Out also auch nachher bei der Rücküberweisung der Kaution hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Wir kommen gerne irgendwann wieder! Danke für den angenehmen Aufenthalt.

We certainly enjoyed our recent stay at Villa 14 in Blue Bay Resort. The Villa was well equipped and centrally located in the Resort, with a short walk to the pool, beach and
golf course. The beach was never over crowded while providing some of the best snorkeling on the island. The Villa and Resort are family oriented and also provided many opportunities to view several types of birds (including flamingos), iguanas and other local species - great viewing with your morning coffee!
Selma, Rob and Jan-Willem were gracious and knowledgeable hosts, providing local information on the sites and activities on Curacao to enhance your stay.
The Centrum store is located close by, providing easy and economical access to all grocery needs while staying at the Villa.
I certainly would recommend the Blue Bay Resort and Villa 14 for a relaxing vacation experience... however, just a note, if in Curacao during rainy season, you may want to ensure you are prepared for some pesty mosquitoes on occasion.

grote gezellige bungalow in een aantrekkelijk park
Twee heerlijke weken doorgebracht in deze royale bungalow, die van alle gemakken is voorzien en vlakbij het privé-strand ligt. Langs dat pad naar het strand zie je veel vogels waaronder flamingo's, kleine en grotere hagedissen en zelfs leguanen.
We gingen daar iedere dag zwemmen en meestal ook snorkelen. Het strand heeft alle voorzieningen die je wensen kan: schoon zand, palmbomen, gratis ligbedden, bar, restaurant en zelfs een duikschool.

Awesome time at Villa # 14

We had a wonderful time at beautiful villa # 14. The villa is very well equipped and the wrap-around veranda was a great spot to sit and view the gorgeous flowers and lovely singing colourful birds. The flamingos in the pond on the golf course were a highlight. We enjoyed travelling in our rental car to explore and snorkel at number of other beaches on the island. The snorkeling at Blue Bay Resort was excellent and the best place we found. Our expectations were exceeded by the local grocery store that had everything we needed for the week. Free WiFi was an additional bonus that we really appreciated. Curacao was wonderful vacation destination that we would highly recommend to others. Thank you again for sharing your lovely villa with us.

Mooie villa van alle gemakken voorzien op 1 van de mooiste plekjes van Curacao.
Het Blue Bay strand is enkele minuten lopen vanaf de villa waar je goed kan snorkelen.
Eigenaren van de villa zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij.

Heerlijk huis op Blue Bay Curacao
Wat hebben we genoten! Een prachtig huis op Blue Bay Curacao. De villa is schoon en heeft een ruime veranda. Blue bay ligt vlakbij Willemstad en een paar rustige strandjes. De drukte (Jan Thiel en Mambo) liggen op ongeveer 30 minuten rijden. Kortom een aanrader!!

Heerlijke vakantie gehad!
Heerlijke vakantie gehad! Wij verbleven in villa 14, een sfeervolle, grote villa met drie slaapkamers voorzien van airco en twee badkamers. Het balkon was zeer ruim en voorzien van een loungeset, eettafel en twee ligbanken. Heel fijn dat de schuifdeuren volledig open konden, buiten en binnen komen zo heel mooi samen. Wij kregen na een dag of vier steeds schone handdoeken en dan werden de bedden ook verschoond. Naar ons idee ruim voldoende. Voor de kinderen (3 en 5) was er een kidsclub waar ook de speeltuin is (direct aan het strand) en we zijn veel in het zwembad geweest, vlakbij de villa. Echt ideaal.
Wat wij erg leuk vonden was dat op het strand van Blue Bay een huwelijksvoltrekking plaatsvond. Het is echt een plaatje! Genoten van de zon, cocktails, restaurant met grill avond en live muziek en lekkere ligstoelen (die zijn gratis). Met onze huurauto ook bij Jan Thiel baai geweest, dat viel tegen: veel meer toeristen en druk. Als je dan toch een ander mooi strand zoekt, ga dan bijv. naar de Grote Knip. Aan te raden is om te gaan eten bij Plaza bieu, (Willemsstad Punda) daar eet de lokale bevolking, ga niet te laat, rond half 12. De Centrum supermarkt op afstand van ongeveer 2 km is goed gesorteerd. Kortom, een heerlijke vakantie gehad, wij hopen graag terug te komen!

Een heerlijke vakantie woning, bij de golfbaan!
Het ligt op een geweldige plek, mooi uitzicht en vrij rustig. De villa is van alle gemakken voorzien en een mooie tuin. Het strand ligt beschut en we konden fijn zwemmen in de schitterende baai. Een aanrader! Golfen is ook een uitdaging voor de gevorderde amateur.

Great vacation place!
We have spent 2 weeks in this wonderful piece of Curacao Blue Bay Beach. 'Our' beautiful spacious beach villa, with 2 bathrooms and a nice kitchen, was located near the pool and beach, and was also very relaxing. Our son could go to the swimming pool on his own. My wife even had time to read a book and I was able to work a couple of hours.
Upon arrival we were welcomed by Jan-Willem, the administrator. He was very kind and helpful, and explained everything. To our surprise there was something to drink in the refrigerator, which was a really welcome gesture!
It was just a three minutes’ walk from the villa to the beach, which was no problem even in this heat. On the way to the beach we’ve repeatedly seen flamingos, which we found very special.
Furthermore, we’ve experienced Blue Bay to be an ideal starting location to explore the island by car. A car is a must, because walking to the nearest supermarket is not easy and by car it just takes 5 minutes.
Drive especially to the West Point, there are many beautiful bays and beaches where you can snorkel, it is fun to discover the real Curacao. (Tip: wear water shoes, because of the pebble beaches!)
Mambo Beach and Jan Thiel are a 25 minute drive, Willemstad a 15 minute drive. Mambo Beach and Jan Thiel have been nice to visit for a day. We had a day on the beach there and something to drink and eat. We experienced those places to be very touristic compared to the beaches on the West Point and Blue Bay.
In our opinion Blue Bay Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Curacao, because of the wide sandy beach, beautiful palm trees where you can lie in the shade, plenty of sunbeds, the beach bar and the snack bar (little bit expensive).
We have had a fantastic vacation!

Een prachtige topvilla!
Wij (gezin met 3 pubers), super genoten in deze prachtige villa, heerlijk schoon bij aankomst en tussendoor nog een extra schoonmaak, incl. schone bedden/handdoeken. Ligt maar 12 min. rijden van de airport en Willemstad. Fijne grote veranda met veel zithoeken. Ruim gelegen, mooi uitzicht op water, flamingo's en bloemen. Het paadje af en je bent zo op een prachtig strand, met voldoende palmbomen voor schaduw, waar je super kunt snorkelen en eten. Rustig en ruim resort. Op 5 min. rijden een grote supermarkt met verse broodjes. Het dolfijnen zwemmen echte aanrader, ook eten bij de Gouverneur en Hook's hut(Pirate Bay) erg lekker! Super relaxte villa, prijs/kwaliteit prima in verhouding. Zeker de moeite waard om terug te komen:)!
