Great location not far off the M62

Really nice bar and restaurant. Well furnished.

All of it, it's such a beautiful hidden gem of a place. We cannot fault it. The beds are super comfortable too.. The restaurant and food was amazing, the 2 ladies Eileen & charlotte who served us and looked after us was just a pleasure to have there, they really made us laugh and so welcome and they did so much for us, great ladies thanks for making our stay such a fantastic one.

One small thing, which was... according to the pictures on the booking.com, it showed us booking a completely different room to what we was allocated. We thought we booked the room with a bath in the bedroom (according to the pictures) but we wasn't put in that room. We ended up with a different room. So some slight confusion. But we still enjoyed our stay. The room and bathroom was still very good that we had. Just expected something else but it didn't effect us to much. We was really happy. We would definitely go back and recommend to friends

Charming place. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were lovely, a bit on the small side. Hot breakfast was delicious.

Bathroom didn't have a lot of space to put toiletries on. No soap box in the shower.

Comfy bed in a good sized room. Very clean and had everything needed for an overnight stay. Lovely food in the restaurant downstairs with a varied menu.

Loved it but no staff whenever you needed to see someone. Saw other people who said the same. We waited for long periods of time for drinks, help for anything. Def need more staff. The food was amazing! We were so surprised! Also the towels were really old looking, grey.. little touches could make this place really nice ..

Was very friendly and comfortable also had a lovely seating area outside which was great as the sun was out and we enjoyed a relaxing drink. Breakfast was very good

We thought the menu was very sparse and not up to expectations and a little over priced, also misleading

The venue is wonderful and offers rustic charm. Breakfast and dinner were first class, and the staff were very attentive. We look forward to visiting again. This is a small wedding venue, but this did not interfere in our mini break at all. There is a lovely atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble.

We did not get the room indicated on booking.com. Staff said they were having some issues with this booking system. Our room was lovely, though, and it would not stop us from staying here again.

Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were beautiful. Baths in the rooms were a creative bonus.

The hotel was freezing cold. There was an explanation about all the heat in the building being related or something, but it was still cold. The 1st plug in heater provided did not work. The 2nd one did but still the bathroom was cold. the internet connection was very poor. There were bright lights outside the room at night.

food was lovely and staff were friendly

The bed was on wheels so kept coming away from the headboard, so the pillow kept falling behind the bed.

Room was lovely and food was amazing. Breakfast was outstanding and evening meals were exceptional.

no Meals on a Sunday Night. Needs adding to the specific web page as quite remote and selling point with good restaurant

The friendliness of all the staff was exceptional! They were like old friends even though we had only just met them. The cleanliness is of the highest standard that you don't always find in 5* star accommodation! There was a wedding on when we stayed but this certainly did not affect our enjoyment. The location is fabulous and boy did we sleep well 😴 Would certainly recommend staying here and we'll be returning for a longer stay next time. Thank you everyone at The Pig Inn.

Hotel was beautiful and enjoyed the whole experience

The inability to get a taxi in the morning to my meeting was tricky - not really something the hotel has much control over

Comfortable, quiet room which made it relaxing. Good amount of tea,coffee and hot chocolate in our room. Bed was very comfortable, room temperatures were also comfortable- not too hot or too cold. At breakfast, there was a good selection of options. Attentive staff.
