Everything was allright

Plenty of room for a group of adults in town for a curling event. Enough beds to sleep everyone and gathering spaces for a larger group to play board games (plenty available in a closet) or cards. Views of the lake were a nice bonus at sunset and sunrise. Multiple people mentioned coming back in the summer

Our multi-generational family had a great time here! The large kitchen and multiple flexible spaces for games and movies meant we had plenty of room for our large group. The view was beautiful, and we had fun exploring the large backyard even though it was not the season for kayaking. :) We all agreed that this would be a great site for future holidays or reunions. Thanks for being so responsive and kindly offering us the opportunity for flexible check-in and check-out.

We had a nice time at this house. The location was great by Shadow Lake. It rained every day so we did not get to go canoeing or kayaking, but having that equipment available was a selling point for this property. It was just a very nice, spacious relaxing place to have our family reunion.

Where to start....Erin was more than exceptional as the host of this VRBO...The house was beautiful, plenty of space, lots of toys, and we had scary movies night in the big living room, game night every night, after supper clubbing we lit off Chinese lanterns off the pier went into town to mini golf and hit a few watering holes...We created memories of a lifetime in Waupaca...Lots of laughs happened at 150 Shadow lake 😊 again, ty ty ty Erin for your prompt communication....

The property was amazing and the perfect size for our large group! There was plenty of space for everyone, where we could all be together and not crowded.

We had 16 adults of all age ranges and 4 little kids 5-1 year stay at the Bethany Shadow Lake house. It was a wonderful location for all of us to get together. The lake was beautiful and gave us many opportunities to do outdoor activities. Plenty of space, comfortable, and clean. Would love to stay again!

This is the second family reunion we have had here. The kitchen is our favorite gathering spot and everyone pitches in to cook. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook and serve 20 people. There are several gathering spots where smaller groups can get together to talk or just relax. Definitely would book this property again. Very clean and comfortable.

This is my families sixth year at the Bethany Retreat house. Absolutely Love it !!! The house and grounds are well kept. They have done some upgrading to the house since last July. Everything works well. If there is an issue in the house the maintenance people come very quickly and are able to fix the problem. Everyone is always friendly. The accommodations are comfortable. The house is on shadow lake. There are kayaks, canoes, basketballs, lawn jarts, etc included in the rental. They added 4 bikes in 2023!! The were in great shape. The house is in a residential area and we still feel secluded and can relax:) linens and paper products are included. There are so many kitchen items all you really need to bring is food. There is a gas grill. Also outdoor furniture that is very comfortable. The Bethany Retreat house is beautiful, relaxing and very accommodating:)

This was the perfect location to meet all of our adult children and extended family for a week. The kids’ Grandma lives close by and was able to come and go throughout the week. It was very convenient for us! The house is large enough that we could gather for meals but spread out for quiet time upstairs and games of pool downstairs. Several of us were working or attending school remotely during the week. The WiFi is slow, but we made it work. Our favorite thing was time on the lake. There are enough kayaks and paddle boards for all of us to go out together. Erin was very friendly and super helpful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay again!

Great location for all of my family with plenty of rooms, 17 of us in all stayed there. Had lots of laughts there with my siblings and spouses. Would stay there again. Great place!!!

We rented the house with two other families for a fun winter weekend. The house was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped for a group and if you plan on doing most of your cooking like we did. Although the location is next to a retirement community it still felt relatively secluded. We skated on the frozen lake, sledded on the hill on the property, and went to Nordic Mountain one day which is only 30 mins. It was perfect.

We loved everything!!! Everyone who came were so happy that there was room for all 9 of us - never felt like we were on top of each other. We never left the house - it had everything we needed!! Thanks again!

Our extended family has stayed at this house multiple years in a row. It never disappoints. The house has plenty of space for everyone to sleep. The multiple common area rooms allow for us to feel like we can all spread out and never feel cramped. The kitchen has all of the supplies needed for large family meals. The outdoor space is great. Since we are there in the winter, the hill is fun for sledding, and the frozen lake is fun for ice skating and family games of hockey. We have already booked again for next year!

We booked this place for a Christmas gathering that is a halfway point between our family in MN and IL. It worked out great for everyone. The place is large and spacious enough for kids and adults to spread out, and we really liked the kitchen and giant island for mingling, food prep, and buffet style serving. It would be nice to return in the summer and take advantage of warm weather activities, though we did manage to build an ice fort on the frozen lake. Only a couple of noticeable things that could be improved; water pressure is unpredictable so be forewarned about showering, or washing dishes. Otherwise, a great house!

Took some time off from school to relax and had a great time had a few issues that were fixed but also had the dishwasher not work so we did the dishes by hand and broke 2 glasses sorry about that. Other that that everything was great lots of space and a great location.

This property is wonderful for our large group of women. We have stayed at this location many times. It is always clean and comforable! The space is perfect for our large group, we are able to be together in all of the living spaces, or spread out between the upper and lower living spaces. It also has a very relaxing and beautiful view of the lake. Love it!

It was absolutely amazing home was very large and somehow felt very cozy. There was enough space for my entire party. The property manager response to any issues was immediate and well appreciated. Thanks for everything and we will be back next year for sure.

The house was so perfect for our family gathering of 17 people. We enjoyed the spacious home and location was just minutes from quaint downtown Waupaca as well!

Our family had a wonderful stay. The home was very clean as well as the yard. Property owner was responsive to any questions prior to our arrival. Home was well equipped and the lake was enjoyed by all with the great facility at South Park in the City of Waupaca. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with family. Thanks for the great stay.

The spaces in this home were accurately described and it worked well for our large group. Loved the kitchen area. Very nice yard space for playing games and some really pretty spots for family photos to be taken!

We had a great time at the property with three generations while visiting family and enjoying triathlon weekend!

We had a great time! The house is spacious with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We loved spending time fishing and exploring on the quiet lake with the canoe and kayaks. We cooked all our meals at the house and found the kitchen to be well stocked with pans and utensils. Our only complaint was the grill was quite dirty upon our arrival so we had to spend considerable time cleaning it before use. Also, a couple more dishwasher tablets would have been nice so we didn't have to hand wash dishes on our vacation. Overall a wonderful stay and we highly recommend!

This was the second year we stayed here....great place for a large family. My husband left his billfold on the nightstand...and we received word by the time we got home that it was taken to the office. We called and it was sent out right away!

Great place. Well equipped with water toys, kitchen supplies, high chair etc.

We had 4 married couples and 5 high school/collage age singles. We all were very comfortable with room for sleeping and dining. We put puzzles together (had missing pieces), went kayaking, watched fireworks across the lake, played darts and pool and had a good time catching up with each other. The kitchen was a good place to gather and well stocked with pans and utensils. We had a very good time. thank you Bethany.
