Beautiful, clean, and great location. Everything about this cabin and its location was awesome. Albeit the cabin wasn't on the slopes, however, the location was near the top of the mountain and it was only a 10 minute trip to Sugar Mountain ski resort. I would have given this location a 5 star rating but to my dismay, we discovered the proudly displayed coffee maker did not work. Hot coffee on cold mornings is critical for my mental well-being so without that, I gave this residence 4 stars.

Very comfortable home perfect distance to and from the lodge. Broken coffee pot was the only set back throughout the stay. Great views of wildlife in the backyard

Beautiful mountain and good location close to ski resorts too We enjoyed staying there and everything clean except the shower curtain in the Master Bedroom.

A few small, inexpensive changes/additions, this would be an excellent 5 star rental. We took our entire immediate family, 6 people, and was in the cabin for 4 days. This cabin was adequate. It was super clean, the WIFI was good, it is in a great location and all appliances worked. I think it could have been more accommodating. When we go on vacation we appreciate a rental home that offers comforts similar to our own home. There was only 1 towel per person, I use a clean towel every time I shower, so we had to purchase laundry detergent and wash towels every day. There was only 1 pillow per person, we had to purchase pillows. Limited blankets,, we also had to purchase blankets. A TV that allowed for streaming would have been great. A Keurig coffee maker is much more sanitary than the old style drip machine provided. All of these items could be supplied for around $100-$150 and then this would be an excellent comfortable place to stay. If the owner reads this, call me if you want help selecting low cost items to complete your awesome cabin. 😁 This is truly just me trying to be helpful. The advice is free, do with it what you will.

The location was great and in a nice quite, walkable community. The house was also very clean with a well stocked kitchen for us to cook meals for our family. Also, the lamp switch in the upstairs twin bedroom was broken and a few extra blankets, throws and pillows would have been nice. Overall a very nice rental and we would stay there again.

Beautiful cabin, premier host, equipped gourmet kitchen, large decks, relax on screened porch, 4tvs. Porch without chairs is unusable. Screen room without cushions is unusable. Large deck without chairs unusable. 4 TVs is really 2 TVs and 2 unusable monitors. Gourmet kitchen with only 3 wine glasses?? House had fabulous potential but would not rent again with these shortcomings. Property management was wonderful and addressed other issues.

I was not super pleased with the rental agency - they neglected to inform us that we would need 4x4 to get to the house in January. The gas logs did not work and communication about repairing them was lacking (and they didn't repair them while we were there). The instructions about trash were confusing and we had to take our own trash to a separate location. The house was mostly clean but could use a good dusting on lesser used areas. Overall, our trip was fine but we will not choose a property with this management company again.

Everything works, clean house, bathrooms clean, only thing I really meed and the house doesn't have is a snow shovel, I couldn't clean the back porch and driveway.

Reviewer Comments: We plan a family trip to Banner Elk & Sugar Mountain at least once a year, we love it there!!! We loved the front yard on this rental and even had a family of deer running and playing and a big ol bear wander by. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of this rental was seriously lacking to say the least. We figured during “these times” (COVID) the rental/cleaning companies would take extra care to make sure guests feel safe & comfortable. After our 12 hour drive with a 5 year old, my husband & grandparents in the same vehicle I also had to re-clean the kitchen, dishes, bathrooms and wash all of the bedding because I was so uncomfortable that they were not cleaned properly! I had brought some of my own cleaning supplies (Clorox wipes, antibacterial soap, Lysol, laundry detergent. Etc) by the time I was finished it was passed dinner time and I had used up almost all of my own personal cleaning supplies within the first day. (Couple examples: mold filled cooking pot, dirty hand prints the entire way up the stair well & in the twin bedroom, random smears, food splatters & boogers on walls and there obvious stains on the master bedding & extra blanket). I will say, I did call and leave a vm and emailed with pictures for the rental company who did call me the next morning but I was so infuriated and grossed out that I opted not to answer because I didn’t want to say anything I’d feel bad about & possibly ruin the vacation more. I had already cleaned practically the entire house and washed all of the bedding so, what was the point of upsetting myself again or having them send out their “cleaning” crew again. I do not blame the owners for this issue but I do blame the rental company. I hope they have been checking on their “cleaning” crews work because we will never go through that rental company again and will use one we have previously used numerous times before and were happy with. Not happy with my stay

Our Family had a great time at this rental. The Location was perfectly located basically in the middle of all the attractions we had planned to do. There was even a Fireworks display at the top of the mountain all in the resort area. We walked to a shuttle that took us to the top of Sugar Mountain where we were able to view Fireworks being launched in many locations. We enjoyed our stay!
