My husband and I drove up from LakeOconee for a long weekend. This house is in a prime location only a mile from Main Street. The house is cozy and clean as a whistle. We had beautiful weather, so the view was great, the fireplace makes for a warm and inviting living room. Place is well stocked and owners were amazing to communicate with. We will be coming back for another visit.

The property was in a great location. The back porch was incredible and we enjoyed having a glass of wine out there as the sun set each day. Everything was as expected.

We have stayed in many areas of Highlands/Cashiers and love most of them. This location was great, especially with the dogs. We could walk them down to Mountain Fresh for coffee and breakfast, then a little shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place to stay in the mountains with friends, only a mile outside the town of Highlands, with 2 master suites and a beautiful porch for relaxing.

Ferncliff cottage was a perfect place to beat the Florida heat for a few weeks. The cottage is in a private community and very well equipped. The host was very responsive and helpful.

Family spent 2022 holidays at this property during one of the coldest periods in decades. So cold, all of Highlands lost power for almost 24 hrs. Fireplace put out enough heat that we were able to stay through the outage. Host was in constant contact to offer help and guidance. Obviously, not the host's fault, but they still provided a discount on our stay. Accommodations were otherwise perfect for my peeps. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely cottage, close to downtown Highlands. Perfect layout with two bedrooms with King beds, and two bathrooms, and open common area. Very well stocked, and very attentive owners. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This home is very well maintained and perfect for two couples or four friends. The ability to bring the pups, who loved lazing on the huge back porch, was a big treat! Owners sent great information in advance and made everything easy. Would definitely stay here again!

We initially went to see some snow and hopefully get snowed in but the good ole weathermen missed it again…. lol This little gem was perfect for the three of to stay in for a couple nights. Super simple to find up on the mountain and had great views without the leaves on the trees. The home was very clean and had everything we needed to make it feel like home. We had a minor issue and the host replied right away and got us all taken care of. Very comfortable beds and pillows. All the linens were clean and fresh smelling which is huge for my wife. Beautiful front porch that went the entire length of the home with a cute swing. Very short drive down to town which made it super nice to get something to eat. We made the best of our trip with no snow and went and hiked and saw several waterfalls that were very close to Highlands. Thanks to the host for a great description of the property and making our mini vacay super nice!!!

Enjoyed a long weekend with our kids. Cabin is comfy and well appointed. Nice view and about a 5min drive from grocery store in town. We enjoyed chatting by the fire at night. Beds were comfortable as advertised. Owner was pleasant and prompt in communication.

We really enjoyed Fern Cliff Cottage. Very clean, beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed the cozy fireplace. Excellent location! We would definitely like to come back one day.

Great property. Very well stocked with all needed general items. Porch area was fantastic although too cool to spend much time out there.

Musty, screens unattached, no a/c would have benefited from attic fan or such. Mold in shower walls/ceiling. Furniture damp from humidity. Musty smell in general and in cabinets in kitchen. Front screen door screen torn loose, not new.

The location was close to town but in a quiet neighborhood. You walk to town but it is all uphill going back. Good for exercise but don’t plan on doing this for dinner. The back porch was extremely pleasant. I think there would be a great view in the winter. The interior is nicely appointed; wood floors, comfortable beds and furniture. Fireplace was great though it would turn off randomly for no reason. We stayed during high season in the summer and I know there were guests that checked out earlier the same day we checked in. However, the cabin could have been cleaner. The primary bedroom smelled so much like dog pee, we didn’t use it. The next day I remopped the floor in the corner of the bed room where the odor was coming from and solved the problem. While I was browsing for a book to read, I discovered that the book shelves were extremely dusty. Also needed to wash some glasses before we used them, but that is not unusual for a rental. It could also use some TLC: broken shelf in one of closets, broken screens on front door, and cabin exterior needs painted with rotting wood replaced, which I hope will be fixed when they don’t have back to back renters. Also, be aware that there is no air conditioning. Cleaning supplies and paper goods were provided but toiletries were not. The property owners were responsive and extremely nice. It is worth staying at as I believe the owners will fix the issues.

Loved the living area, kitchen, and back porch!

The porch is wonderful, beds comfy. Awesome location almost at the top of the hill and secluded feeling, but close enough to walk to town! My only complaint is with the window coverings in the bedrooms, they block out very little light so be ready to wake with them sun as the bedroom windows face East!!
