It is a cute little house just a couple of blocks from shopping and restaurants. Very clean and well stocked. Would highly recommend and would stay here again in the future.

Very cozy B&B - enjoyed it with the exception of the tiny toilet in the back bedroom. It was so low to the floor it was difficult for a 71 year old to navigate! There were 3 of us and I took this room. Other friends with me were 74 & 75. We enjoyed the stay but maybe a new toilet is warranted? Thank you!!!

I stayed here with my mother, my cousing and my aunt. We had a little girls weekend get-away. The house is so charming and located just a couple of blocks from Main Street. I especially appreciated the little extras like a water filter pitcher and snacks. I would definitely stay here again!

This was a cute cottage and very clean. I stayed with my mom, sister and niece (all 18+) and we all were happy with our choice to stay here. Everything we needed was provided. I would stay here again and would recommend to friends as well.

Perfect location; great home layout. We appreciated the spices, plastic baggies, coffee, etc. Plenty of towels, beds were comfortable. I’d recommend the house.

This is our second time staying here... this time with our husbands. Great space and we entertained friends who live in the area with outdoor grilling and playing cornhole. The kitchen was well appointed and we used the coupons at Rathskeller for some German fare. We hope to come back again!

Absolutely beautiful home! It went way beyond my expectations. I truly can't say enough about it! The décor was gorgeous - what you would expect in a home of that era but with modern amenities plus. The neighborhood was so quiet it was startling. It did take me a bit of time to find where all the light switches were to the lights. Also, it was not a problem for me, but there is only one small parking space. If that would be a problem for someone else, I would contact the Gästehaus for information on parking. It is a nice little house that will not disappoint and at a decent price.

Crepe Myrtle cottage is beautiful inside and out! If you like antiques, you will be in heaven. The comfortable beds and the upholstered chairs are all adorned with beautiful old fashioned style fabrics. Beautiful pictures and nic-nacks in every room as well as a coocoo clock. A fully furnished kitchen and a grill in the back yard makes it easy to stay home and cook.

Cute little home with a country flavor, comfy beds and a well-stocked kitchen. Our group of three ladies enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home.

Perfect house for us to rejuvenate and reconnect. Crepe Myrtle House is charming, warm and inviting. The two bedrooms with attached bath were perfect for each of us to have our 'space'. Will definitely be back!

The 3 of us have stayed at Crepe Myrtle for years now. We are 4 old college roommates from Southwest Texas State and first met in the Fall of 1968. We have remained very close for 50 years now. Two of us live in New Braunfels, I live in Arlington, TX and the 4th lady lives outside of Fredericksburg. We love the coziness of the house and its great location. However, this last stay we did have a couple of issues. I shared this information with your office when we checked out on Oct 31 so I will not repeat it here. It also seems to us that the house yard, gardens, etc are not maintained quite as well as they have been in the past. Some of the linens are getting pretty ragged looking at the edges. As long as we have been coming, the same linens have been used. It's been at least 6 to 8 years for the 3 of us to stay in this little house and I'm sure it is filled most of the time. So those linens are getting used quite a lot. None of these issues are prohibitive but you might want to look further into them. Thank you!

The Crepe Myrtle Cottage is absolutely 100% delightful. The owners have done an outstanding job updating the home but preserving the cozy German feel. The one thing we could not get over during our stay was how well appointed the cottage is. The owners have really thought of every little thing you could need or might want. The cottage was REMARKABLY clean, and a guest had just left hours before! Check in was so easy and professional, and check out was just as simple. There was no long to do list for check out, which just helped our vacation spirit extend just a little longer! The rooms are very large, and having two bathrooms en-suite was absolutely wonderful! We were just blown away by the quality and care of this wonderful little cottage, and we can not WAIT to return! Thank you so much, Gastehaus Schmidt, and thank you Kristin for a lovely home to rest in!

The Crepe Myrtle Cottage was the perfect place for my colleague and I to focus on writing our book. The cottage is a short walk to downtown, which was nice for writing breaks and we loved all sweet little touches. We hope to return in the future.

The home was immaculate and beautiful. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The house was perfect for 4 women coming back together after many years. We were very comfortable, sat at the kitchen table, hung out in the living room and even had snacks/dinner outside in the patio. Beds were great, loved all the extra snacks left for us and in the fridge. Even the touches of bath items. - Perfect home for our Wknd get-together. Thanks!

The minute we stepped on the front porch we knew it was going to be great! The cottage gave the feel of being at your grandma's house for a holiday. We had 3 generations of our family and everyone loved the place!

This cottage was just right for our needs with a comfortable living room and two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We also had plenty of storage room for our suitcases and clothes. We enjoyed our visit to this cottage and Fredericksburg!

We enjoyed our sisters get-away so very much in the Crepe Myrtle Cottage. It was so interesting and particularly memorable for us with all the vintage decor and furnishings. I just wish I could buy that bed. We were able to relax and rest. which we all needed. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay at Crepe Myrtle Cottage. It is a very comfortable and charming home. I wish we could have stayed longer. It is well stocked with everything anyone would need. We also enjoyed the art galleries in Fredericksburg. We didn't realize what a fabulous art venue Fredericksburg has.

We loved the cottage, it was perfect for our stay. The decorations reminded us of our grandmothers house.

We really enjoyed our three days. The ladies were fascinated with the decorum and all the furnishings. Kitchen was nice to use and so much xtra's! Beds were so comfortable that we hated to walk out into the heat. Wish you could have made the cool front arrive three days earlier! Key drop was easy except for finding a parking place

We stayed at the Crepe Myrtle cottage over the New Years holiday & thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The cottage is comfy & cozy as one would expect. The potbelly stove "was so delightful" & kept us warm & toasty, even thought the weather outside was truly "frightful". We will definitely stay here next time we come to Fredericksburg.

We were celebrating my daughters 26th birthday. This house was amazing. The beds were so comfortable. The house was so nicely decorated and very clean. The porch was a nice place for our morning coffee and evening wine. I will definitely come back. Check in was so easy.
