The bungalow is Huge with plenty of space for our large family of 11

Prettier area than I expected. House was a great size and everything that we needed was provided. Lots of space and close to the village for walking down to the little shop and pub and to visit the castle. Close enough to drive to Tenby etc for the day.

Great location, bungalow set in large gardens, exceeded expectations. Great for our large family and dogs. Response of team to minor problem was outstanding.

Need more mugs and cups as we drink a lot of tea. But such a minor point. Loved the place.

The location was perfect for our family holiday

This was advertised as a detached property with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - it is in fact 2 semi detached bungalows - one with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a completely separate self contained annex having one bedroom and separate bathroom and kitchen. There is no connecting door. We were very disappointed as the reason for our holiday was for the whole family to be together - not neighbours for the week. We had to deal with a managing company who rent the property through Booking,com The property is very "tired" in general and was very "grubby" when we arrived. The beds were comfortable, all with clean bedding, but all the floors were dirty. The annex had obviously not been thoroughly cleaned for some considerable time as the nest of spiders proved in the living room. The main building floor was gritty with sand and dirt (including nail clippings!) Having 4 small children we had to sweep and clean the floors throughout before we could settle in. We reported this to the managing agency and they sent cleaners the next day to mop throughout both properties.

The location was very good

When we arrived the key for the annex was not available we had to contact the owner who sent her son to collect it. It was a cold and very wet evening and we discovered that there was no heating, the owners son tried to fix it but couldn't. The water only heated intermittently. We contacted Great Welsh Escapes on the Monday and they sent someone who said the pressure in the boiler was very low and she had fixed this. This did appear to sort the issue of the water out but not the heating, this wasn't sorted until the Thursday. Additionally when we arrived the dishes, cutlery and utensils were dirty and required cleaning before use, as we had no hot water this had to be done by boiling kettles of water every time we wanted to use something different. Overall it was very poor and the owner/Great Welsh Escapes have agreed to pay us £300 in compensation.

There was plenty of room for 10 people, there were 3 bathrooms and bedding linen etc. all clean and comfortable. It was in a quiet situation but still close enough to walk easily into Laugharne (but uphill back!) Washing machine and dishwasher all worked.

All the floors were bare, it would have been a bit cold in cooler weather. There was only enough crockery --no spares for longer meals. There were no tea towels provided -- we had to go out and buy some which we donated to the house. Not enough dishwasher tablets for 10 people for a week
