We loved this property, especially the back yard!! Beautiful and huge with activities to keep everyone in our group happy. We didn’t spend much time inside but it was clean and spacious and worked well for us. Somethings are a little rundown but only cosmetically. We also loved the location. It was easy to get to restaurants and grocery stores, the beach and the airport. Would highly recommend to a group who loves spending time outdoors!!

Juan, first things, first. We had a great time at your Luquillo property. We usually take our family vacations at the beach. This was the first time we have taken our annual PR family vacation off-beach. We felt totally safe inside a dual gated community. We were very impressed with the owner’s response to a minor maintenance issue, he had it taken care of immediately. The house was fully equipped with everything we could have needed and more. When we weren’t exploring the countryside, we lounged by the beautiful pool or just enjoyed the quietness of the terraces. Our totally enjoyable, week long experience, was mostly due to the location and all the facilities/amenities available at your Pitahaya property. The location was perfect. It gave us access to numerous interesting places to visit/explore. We went to 3 different beaches, El Yunque Rainforest, Ziplining and Hacienda Chocolat where we toured an “Eco” cacao farm. We would not hesitate to recommend this rental property to everyone we know!! Thanks Juan for your outstanding support and help!!

We rented this house to celebrate my mothers 65th birthday. There were 5 women, 3 over 50. Overall the house was lovely. It is in a great little gated community. Easy to find via google maps. Very close to stores, the beach, the kiosks and other restaurants. For our needs we may have changed some things a bit. There are 3 TVs but the ones in common areas aren’t really set up for gathering. The water pressure in the showers was fairly nonexistent but the water got hot so that’s a plus. The tile floors could have used a few rugs as they are cold. The room with the bunk beds could use bit of a rethink. As an adult I couldn’t sit up on the bottom bunk. I’m 5’5 but still too tall. I think even if it were two twins but seperate it would have been more comfortable HOWEVER the master bedroom is massive and the balcony off it is beautiful. The covered dining outside is also lovely. The pool though small is GREAT to have. We spent a lot of time sun bathing and taking quick dips in the pool. Could use an extra lounger and we bought a new pool floaty and left it for the next guests. I would absolutely happily stay at this home again. It was easy communicating with the owner. It was an easy drive from the airport. The community was quiet except for the birds and the frogs. Iguanas will come hang out by the pool so don’t freak out. Overall it was a great time and price for value was spot on.

Beautiful property. Kids loved the pool an basketball court. Near to lots of beaches, El Yunque, and lots of restaurants. We had a wonderful vacation.

We had a great vacation in Luquillo. House was in lovely, safe neighborhood within a short drive to beaches, rainforest, Fajardo (where many exciting tours began), supermarket, restaurants. Favorite areas on property was beautiful outdoor verandas (upper and lower), pool, enormous backyard. We were an extended family of ten.

We stayed at this house with our family. Seven of us in all. The location and neighborhood were great. The kids loved the pool. It’s close to the Yunque National Rain Forrest and beaches. I’d give this house a five star rating if it weren’t for the overall state of disrepair. During heavy rains (think rain forest) the entire house leaked so much water everything was wet. The windows, ceilings and walls all leaked. Regretfully we were there during Fiona when there was a lot of rain BUT other homes in the neighborhood didn’t experience the same problem. There was at least a 1/4 inch of water covering most of the family room and dining room every morning. We had to squeegee it out every day. More leaks popped up everyday coming out of light fixtures and bedrooms ceilings. It’s most likely the reason many of the lights and outlets in the house don’t work. The owner seems to think this is normal for concrete houses but the neighbors didn’t have the same problem. Overall the house looks great on paper and could be a great rental but it needs repair. The owner gave us a partial refund and offered a hotel for our last night to compensate us which I appreciated. IF the home gets repaired I would highly recommend but it’s in a high rain area and in my opinion isn’t safe with water flowing in and around electrical outlets. The neighbors were amazing and loaned us a gas cook stove when power outage left us with no way to cook. The house has an electric cooktop. The BBQ that came with the home was broken. Neighbors jumped in to help and we are forever grateful for their kindness.

The property is very nice however does need a little TLC the ceiling leaks in the kitchen and dining room due to the AC or rain so makes it a little difficult to eat in those areas. The pool area is refreshing just wish the owner had more lounge chairs other than that great place to stay very secure

This was my first time renting a property through VRBO and I couldnt be more happy with my experience. Juan was an excellent host and was very responsive. My family and I had a great time and would recommend renting this property. Thanks Juan!!

The house was nice, & we had a good time. Location was very good, as we were less than an hour away from Old San Juan. We enjoyed the beaches & the many restaurants, especially the Desperado.

THE HOUSE The house is large with a big backyard and beautiful pool, but it's in need of some maintenance, updating and a deep clean. In case this helps others plan: the master bedroom has a large bathroom, but it opens directly in to the bedroom. No door/privacy. The two rooms with the futon/couches are not truly private - the futon room opens directly in to the dining room (no door) and the living room with the pull out has a door, but with glass panels. It's in the living room and the only room with a TV. If you're traveling with a group of 4+, you'll probably want to bring plates, cups, etc. We had 9 people and were always low. There's no dishwasher. THE NEIGHBORHOOD We felt very safe here, with two gates and security that was always nearby. You're close to a lot of beaches but not walking distance. You'll need a car. THE HOST Probably the most responsive host I've ever had. Responded within minutes, even on New Years Eve. He got a new mattress delivered for the pull out while we were there (very comfortable). COVID-19 NOTE The process to get on to the island was much easier than we imagined. One person hadn't gotten her test results back by landing, but got them later that night and was able to upload them online with no penalty. Many places around the island are either closed or only open until 8 or 9p, so make sure to call ahead. A lot of the beaches seemed to have closed their parking lots too.

My family really loved the location of this home. Luquillo beach, Fajardo and El Yunque rainforest are short easy drives. The outdoor space is amazing. A big yard for games, a basketball court and clean saltwater pool. We would stay here again. The host is also very responsive.

You will feel very safe with the double security gate and the neighborhood. we also like the area of the island and that we were so close to the rainforest and San Miguel beach which we loved as it was basically empty when we visited. The considerations for the house is it is a little older of a home but everything worked fine and going through the double gated security was a little annoying at times. End of the day we would definitely rent this house again!

Juan was attentive and responsive almost immediately. Complete privacy, in a double gated community where we as a family felt very safe. Adorable bunnies kept my niece entertained. Central location to supermarkets, local restaurants, and beaches. Spacious sleek home, with an abundance of windows for natural lighting. Beautiful patio space, bbq grill and secluded pool with no neighbors peering in. Basketball court and fast internet for those that need to “work from home or online school.” Would recommend and not hesitate about returning to Luquillo. Thank you Juan for being such a great host!
