My husband and I are fairly frequent travelers. This place was without question- a top 5 stay for us. One of the most peaceful, tranquil, beautiful places we’ve escaped too. We will definitely be back.

We came to the area to do the Polar Express and see a different part of the state. This was about one of the nicest cabins we have ever stayed. It was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Very will stocked. Extremely comfortable beds. Highly recommend. Thinking of coming back when the lake is at summer pool.

The property itself was top notch. No complaints. I had imagined the creek being larger, but that's not anyone's fault. It still provided plenty of babbling brook sound that makes naps on the porch so nice. The list of what was right is very long, the only thing that was not fully operational was the hot tub. Only 2 of the 4 seats had operational jets and the force from the jets was a bit weak, but there were only 2 of us so it was ok. It's remote with a capital R. It's about 10 minutes from the site to the main road, then another 10 to 15 minutes either way to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Our verizon cell phones signal meter didn't have any bars. Instead it said SOS. Never saw that before. However, the wifi worked great, the TV had a good selection of channels, and staying in touch via text and email made things comfortable. If you want to get away from it all with quality and comfort, this place delivers.

We have been coming to this area for over 10yrs and this is probably the best house we’ve stayed at. The home is gorgeous, very clean and very well stocked. There are directions for everything in the home, the beds and pillows were super comfortable! The hot tub was a huge hit and the fire pit creek side was very relaxing. I will say it’s best to try to arrive during the daylight as the mountain road up has quite a few sharp curves and it’s dark. Ingles is close by for groceries and we enjoyed a few hours at the restaurants on property at NOC. The only thing I wish was better was the area for parking - we had two large SUV’s and it was a tight fit in the driveway. Other than that we had a very relaxing fantastic fall vacation!

This house is really lovely for 4 adults and perhaps a child or 2. I do not recommend adults sleep in the upstairs portion. It is very well stocked, beautifylly kept, clean, tastefully decorated and really has everything you need for a fantastic time in the NC mountains. We would definately stay again when we are back in the area. The management company is super nice and very responsive.

Well-appointed creekside mountain cabin provided an excellent base camp for all of our mountain vacation adventures!

Everything was perfect. The area was beautiful! The cabin was very well kept and very comfortable. The whole experience was wonderful! We'll be back.

From the moment you pull in the driveway, you’ll never want to leave! Beautiful, clean cottage with everything you need. We loved the kitchen nook for eating and playing games; the loft with foosball table; the screened porch with gas fireplace; the hot tub and the wonderful sounds of the creek while enjoying the fire pit-complete with split wood!

This place was immaculate & our jaws hit the floor when we got to the property. I have stayed at many properties over the years & this checked ALL the boxes. Beautiful property & the stream flowing behind the house (next to the fire pit!) couldn’t have been more perfect. The hot tub was already heated & ready for us! Can’t say enough fabulous things about this place. WE WILL COME BACK! Book it, you will not regret it.

Excellent find. For those wanting to go into town, less than 30 minutes. For those wanting to isolate, a lifetime away. Comfortable, well appointed, and even decorated for Christmas right after Thanksgiving. Attention to detail by owners and staff so you can relax.

This cabin was exactly how it was described online. Beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. Great kitchen/cooking amenities. We really loved it there. It was, as described, off the beaten path and quite a ways from town, but we enjoyed the quiet, serene landscaping and the sound of the creek. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!! Also, we were able to check in a little early which made us very happy!

Absolutely amazing! The cabin was clean, peaceful, and stocked with all the amenities including grill, fireplace, and jacuzzi. Close to Lake Fontana and the NOC Outdoor Center. We will be back, absolutely wonderful!

We came here for rest and healing and that is exactly what we found here. Would love to come back! Sitting on the back deck listening to the creek and falling leaves was wonderful!

The property is great, just wish the outdoor fireplace had not been broken. April was not the best with customer service when I called, either. Steve showed up later, though, and smoothed things over and got the indoor fireplace working for us. That was at least something! Overall it was a great stay, the creek location can't be beat.

My husband and I had a great stay, the house was everything and more the pictures showed, My only complaint is the light bulbs are not very bright and some were burned out, the house was on the dark side at night, playing cards or trying to read. It is tucked 10 minutes up the mountain, 20 minutes from Bryson City, So if you want to be close to places this would not be for you,,

Beautiful cabin right on a lovely creek. Sitting on the porch each night with a fire glowing was the perfect ending to our day. Private boat dock with amazing views just up and over the mountain in the private neighborhood. Nice kitchen for cooking meals and fully equipped. We really enjoyed our stay!

We booked Watia Creekside looking for a month's retreat from our hectic and torrid Florida home. Oh my, what a delight! The approach was up, up, up - a 3 mile, easily doable mountain switchback road paved or hard pack all the way. The home was just as advertised, immaculate, well-appointed, comfortable and nestled on a rapidly moving delightful creek. The surrounding Smokey Mountain area was thrilling. Morning walks/hikes up the adjoining roads led to some unforgettable sights, and spent legs. There is also ready access to a world class white water facility that we visited often. Trips into Bryson City and surrounding communities lead to nice shops, bookstores and walks. We recommend Sylva. The host was more than could be hoped for. Totally and immediately responsive, pleasant and efficient. We will return.

Really beautiful property, would make a perfect get away for two couples, or single couple with a child or two. We booked this house for our motorcycle riding tour to "Tail of the dragon". Started out with six guys when I booked, ended up only being four that made the trip. The sleeping arrangements for four grown men were not the best, to say the least. Very clean, spacious, and well maintained property. Wifi wasn't great, but not really a major issue unless you absolutely have to have it. Backing motorcycles down the narrow, banked gravel driveway was a bit tricky also, but we made it work. Very peaceful, quiet neighborhood, with private surroundings. Overall, very nice home. The trip planning issue was my fault entirely; not the property, or the owner's. However, the total price after it was all said and done was double the listed price, so keep that in mind. As I said at the beginning, for the right kind of trip, it's a great property. Just make sure you consider all the plus and minuses before you book.

We enjoyed our stay at Watia Creekside. We didn't leave the cabin much, mostly due to the winding mountain road that turned into a gravel road with two one-way bridges. If we had known, we would have driven our 4x4 instead of our Avalon. We had heard about local access to NOC and a waterfall hike but they entailed driving up another steep one lane gravel road so we walked a lot instead. We didn't have cell service at all (T-Mobile) so the thought of getting stuck in the car wasn't appealing. The creek was wonderful and the screened porch was where we spent our waking hours. We arrived to find a beeping smoke alarm. Steve came out quickly and ended up changing the battery several times before removing it completely. The only other maintenance issues were some burned out bulbs in the dining room and kitchen that were mentioned by the guests who left one day before we arrived. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the toiletries in the bathrooms.

Great location to Many outdoor activities including the Nantahala outdoor center. The cabin was well equipped and very clean, The beds were super comfortable. Awesome place to stay for a summer family vacation.

We absolutely loved our time at this house. Beautiful surroundings and the house was perfect. Incredibly lovely property! Also props to the mgmt company, who restarted the outdoor fireplace when we had a porch-bound rainy day. Hiked, fished, rafted and it was all fun and beautiful! 100% recommend!!

This place is so beautiful. looked just like the pictures. We wish we got to stay there much longer than we had to enjoy it more. We may come back if it is available. We did however have issues with GPS and trying to locate the house as mentioned in the emails. It was difficult and ended up taking a few wrong turns. we also drove past the house because the sign had bushes over grown so we could not see it at night. Make sure you are well aware of the no GPS and to follow the written directions, just as they tell you too. My only suggestion to the owners is to make sure the house address sign is more visible :) Again after our adventure of getting lost in the smoky Mountains the house was a welcoming sight and wished we had more than 1 night to stay.

This house is absolutely beautiful! Nestled in a mountain forest up along side a beautiful stream. My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing time. Our dog enjoyed every ounce of the property as well. Fires by the steam, and listening to the water from the screened in porch was just magical. The beds were the most comfortable I think we've ever had in a vacation rental. If you've come across this property, just book it! You will not be disappointed! I'm sure we'll be back.

Incredible property located on a beautiful mountain creek. The house layout is perfect with the screened porch, hot tub, fire places and well stocked kitchen. Very secluded yet close to the NOC and Bryson City. We'll be back!!

We had a fantastic time staying at Watia Creekside! The property is beautiful and has everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The back porch overlooking the creek was our favorite to enjoy the fireplace and listen to the sounds of the creek. And the fire pit adjacent to the creek was great for evening gatherings. All in all a very enjoyable visit. Definitely would recommend.

I can't wait to go back for the fall foliage! Only drawbacks were no TVs in the bedrooms and the internet is terrible! But you are in the mountains and should be outdoors anyway. The outdoor screened in porch is the perfect place to relax and listen to the amazing creek!! Book now!! You will NOT be disappointed!!

Great layout and amenities. Enjoyed being around the fire places, both inside and out, as much as going out and exploring the Bryson City area. Would definitely do a repeat visit.

My husband and I are celebrating 10 years together and this was our first solo vacation. Hands down the most beautiful cabin and location. We wanted alone time and this gave us just that. We will be coming back again!

You know how you look at photos of rental properties and the photos look promising and the whole way there you’re thinking, “God, I hope it’s not disappointing.” Well, this home exceeded our expectations!!! We loved sipping our coffee each morning in the screened in porch listening to the babbling brook, cooking and baking in the fully equipped kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub after a bonfire. The beds were very comfortable and offered a good nights sleep. The NOC is nearby if you’re feeling adventurous. We did river rafting (Nantahala River mostly class 2 rapids-mild) and zip lining above the forest tree line with incredible views of the mountains was a blast! Area hiking is spectacular as was boating (pontoon) & swimming at Fontana Lake. Highly recommend Almond Boat Rental!! Also, we all agreed that dinner at the Bistro at the Everett Hotel was five star all the way! And the Deep Creek Winery is worth the trek up the mountain-awsome wine, mountain view, and loved their 2 welcoming dogs :). We can’t wait to stay at Creekside again! Thank You!

Lovely cabin super close to nantahala outdoor center. Pictures do not do it justice. The creek sound is so loud and landscaping so beautiful you feel like you are in a tropical rainforest. Very comfortable beds. Our only complaint would be missing a tv in the master bedroom. Would definately stay here again.
