Sasi’s place is in the best location in Midigama, especially for surfers. From the rooftop you have a perfect view of Lazy Left, with Lazy Right just across the road. There are a few other surf spots within walking distance and plenty of other places to surf just a short tuk tuk ride away. A lot of great places to eat within walking distance as well. Sasi is an amazing host with a lot of knowledge about the local area and anywhere that you might want to travel. He is always happy to help you organise scooter hire, taxis, National Park tours and help you navigate the local buses and trains. Sasi and his Mumma did everything possible to make our stay great. We actually found it very hard to leave Sasi’s place, originally booked for one night and ended up staying for a month. We will be back as soon as possible!

This place is as close to Midigama Beach as you can get! Great spot if you wanna surf, or just want to chill on the beach. The room is spacious and very clean, and the rooftop has a great view of the surf spot Lazy Left. Sasi is such a great host, and will do everything to make your stay perfect. Him and his mom as always available to ask questions og just hang out and have a good time.

We stayed with Sasi in Laguna for about a month and it really was the best decision. Not only were Sasi and his lovely mother great company, the whole place was soso comfortable!! The beach is literally across the street and the best Rottis aren't far away! We made great friends there and we'll all come back one day! Thank you Captain Sasi, it was a blast 🫶🏼

I really enjoyed our stay at Sasi’s!! Such a nice and chilled vibe. First we stayed in the Villa, then we moved into the house. We wanted to stay for longer but the place was already fully booked so sadly we had to leave. After moving we still kept hanging out at Sasi’s. Sasi’s place really felt like home away from home. We’ll definitely come back!

Very very friendly staff and atmosphere. You will be treated like a friend right away. Sasi (the owner) will provide with all the information you need to know in midi/weli/ahangama etc and contribute with a big smile and good humour. Wonderful to wake up every morning drikking coffee on the rooftop watching prima waves surounded by Palms, trees, bird sounds and sometimes animals. Even fireflies in the garden in night time. Fully recommended.

The most amazing staff who make you feel so at home. Sassi we love you!! The BEST location and most beautiful place to stay. Amazing roof top to watch the waves and enjoy a morning coffee. This place is a little paradise and it's incredible value for money. We will absolutely be back, it's by far the best play to stay in the area.

it is perfectly located in midigama between Weligama and ahangama for surfing a couple of surf spots in walking distance. you can check the waves from the rooftop terrace. there are a couple of restaurant options in a short walking distance. Sasi and his mother take good care of you if you need anything.

Staying in sasi's place is my second home in sri lanka. it is right in front of lazy left and lazy right plus you can go upstairs to check the waves with a clear view for lazy left, if you want to go to for other surf spots close by you can walk or share a tuk tuk. the place and room is always clean and tidy with a good fan in the room, the garden is nice to chill in so as the outside sitting area. the host sasi is very nice helpful and funny, always there if you need anything like transport, information and more. i will definitely come back next season

Location was good as it is right in front of two surfspots. Rooms were tidy with clean towels and mosquito net around the bed. The corridor was also really clean as it was sweeped at least 20 times per day by the host Sasi. Outside chilling areas were comfortable and the rooftop patio had a nice view. Host Sasi is really amazing as he is extremely helpful, nice and friendly. Everything worked well, whatever we needed was provided by the host. Thank you Sasi for amazing stay at Laguna Surfing Stay! Laguna Surfing Stay is an amazing place. Right In front of you is Midigama Beach so you have the option to chill on the beach or surf. There’s a roof terrace that you can hangout and check the waves and every room has an en-suite. Sasi is a great host who aims to make sure you have a pleasant stay. He even gave me some fruit when I realised that the fruit/veg market only runs bi-weekly. I’ve stayed in 4 other places in Midigama and Sasi’s place is by far the best I’ve stayed at. Thank you so much!

100% reccomendation. I stayed in one of the rooms in the main house as well as the new bungalow, which includes kitchen and fridge. Sasi is a great host, always open for a chat and happy to help. Do stay here if you want to experience some of the true Sri Lankan vibes. Thanks Sasi!

The host was super nice, always keen to help with anything and everything. The breakfast was nice - cost 3 USD, but was in fact such a big portion I kept some for later in the day (the hosts helped me to keep it in the fridge). The view from the top terrace was great. Very close to Lazy Right and Lazy Left surf breaks.

Unfortunately, the wifi is unusable. I stayed in a room which was facing the road and had some noise from the street. The room was very basic and had no furniture to unpack into.

Amazing location, especially if you like to surf as it overlooks Lazy left and right surf break. Breakfast was great and the terrace has a lovely view. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the other surf breaks in Midigama. Sasi and his mum were great hosts, Sasi has a great sense of humour and speaks really good English and was always on hand to help with bookings, recommendations, drivers and pretty much anything that you might need (my card got eaten by an ATM on the way from the airport and he arranged for this to be delivered to Midigama which saved us a lot of inconvenience!). The rooms are simple with a fan, but modern and clean and the place is very secure with Sasi always on the property keeping an eye on your boards etc. This place is a gem, we stayed for a week and would definitely stay again 😊

We couldn’t fault it

Sasi is an amazing host. He is always happy to help and offer advice. The location is perfect. Directly opposite lazy left with a covered rooftop you can check the surf from. Rams and other spots are only a short walk or tuk tuk away and there are plenty of good cheap places to eat very close by.

Sasi is a great host. Location is really really clean and comfortable. It is really close to the ocean (you can walk in 1 minute). Also I would suggest to ask for a breakfast (it costs 3$) but it was so tasty.

Everything is very clean, the breakfast is delicious and the beach is just 1 minute by feet

Mosquito net did not protect very well

We planned to stay one night and made a week out of it. The location is perfect for surfers (in front of lazy left & right). The rooftop gives a great view on the waves. The rooms are simple but clean, we didn't miss anything. The owner Sasee is kind, helpful and always around if you need something (scooter, surfboard etc.). His Mom serves an excellent Sri Lankian breakfast that is included in the super fair price. We will come back for sure!

Simply the best place I've ever stayed. It's clean, chilled out, has a delicious breakfast, great location and above all the best host ever (Sasi). My stay was during the COVID-19 epidemic. Without the help of Sasi I simple would not of been able to get home. He's a credit to the business. Take the opportunity to stay here. You won't regret it!
