Our stay was amazing! We used it as a base to go see many things in the area, so we weren't actually at the property for extended times. The hostess gave us suggestions for a place to eat and it hit us in all the right spots. Would stay with her again if we were in the area. It was good to know that at the end of a day of sight seeing, we had a warm, hospitable, safe and comfortable place to spend the night.

Dark and dingy. No a/c in the bedroom. Can't shave with bathroom lighting. Didn't have contact phone number for host.

We stayed here a little over a month. When we arrived, we were met by the owner who showed us the heater and provided us with the keys. The cottage sits across the owner's home, but they are not obtrusive, and you have total freedom and privacy. What a deal this place is! The cottage is very, very clean and smelled delightful. We found that the listing is very accurate with their pictures. The lighting (a little dark, but cozy) and decor in the pictures is exact. Lots of flower arrangements and decorations to cheer it up.. Also, the wi-fi is super fast and stable. The TV is a nice size and modern.
The bed is very comfortable. The little porch was not used by us because it was cold when we were there.. When you walk the property, you can see the mountains and the fall leaves on the trees which create an amazing picture. There is lots of room to walk the dog and enjoy the scenery. We saw tons of deer, a fox, an eagle and countless rainbows.
The owner responds very quickly when anything is needed which we really appreciated. The towels and sheets are basic and fit the cost of the cottage. The appliances are functional. No dishwasher.
Very convenient location to explore the area. We went to Shenandoah National Park often. It is very close (23 mins). We also went to the Massanutten Mountains and did the Storybook Trail and Lion's Tale. Walked the Luray Hawksbill Greenway often. You can buy Apple Butter nearby. More than anything, we loved watching the sunsets and sunrises while walking the property.

The property was clean, well stocked and the check in was easy. We used the internet for work and had no issues with the signal. Our dog enjoyed walking through the fields and staring at the cows! We would rent this property again.

Workation
My wife and I enjoyed the stay at this property. It is simple, comfortable and quaint. We stayed for a full work and worked remotely from the property in that time so Wifi was good and we got out to enjoy the caverns, horseback riding, or just driving down skyline drive for the views for a couple hours a day. We brought our dog as well who loved being able to run free in the fields by the property. I would stay here again.

Great cottage
We enjoyed our stay here very much. Owners were very friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. Conveniently located to lots of great hiking while being away from the touristy areas.

We were ready for some quiet down time. It was very comfortable, quiet and rural. Also close to the area attractions. Owner is very nice. Her son came over to help with a wifi problem (it was my phone's fault [turn off random MAC address]). Would gladly stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay in Stanley. The house was equipped with what we needed. But if you're a wine drinker, bring your own supplies, as there was no corkscrew or wine glasses. We took the lawn chairs down the lane to watch the sunset every night. It was a beautiful setting, but you had to go outside a ways. No view from the house. The town of Stanley is tiny, with few choices to eat out. You need to drive around 8 miles in one direction or another for dining out. There is a Food Lion very close, so we just cooked our meals at home after a day in Shenandoah National Park. Stanley is a good location to enter the park from. All in all, it was a good experience.

Cute Cottage
This Country Cottage is perfect for a quick little get away. Very close to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. We went hiking at a close by trail called Storybrook Trail, very easy and great overlooks. We also went to Hawksbill Brewing Company. The location of this cottage is just far enough outside of the city. You can either make your meals at the cottage or go out to a few of the nearby restaurants. Definitely recommended!

Lovely
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. The cottage was exactly like in the pictures, and came with a fully stocked kitchen which we took full advantage of. It is located in a picturesque little town but was also 30 minutes from the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah and 15 minutes from Luray. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing place, and it did not disappoint!

Quiet location and very easy access to Shenandoah NP
We loved this homely cabin. It is very well equipped with kitchen utensils, towels etc. We loved being able to cook our own meals after several weeks of hotel stays. There is a large supermarket less than 5 minutes drive from the cabin. Thornton Gap entrance of Shenandoah NP is only 17 miles / 25 minutes drive away and the roads are so quiet. Diane, our host, gave us a lovely warm welcome and was always available if we had any questions. Thank you for a great holiday.

Cute and Cozy
My Fiancé and I were looking for a spot to stay on short notice with our pup for Thanksgiving and the weekend after. My family rents a cabin every year in the area to get away from the hustle of the city for Thanksgiving but we don't fit into one cabin anymore since we are a growing family. This spot was close to the other cabin as well as other attractions in Luray and it was so toasty warm on such a cold weekend. The owner's mother was sweet and showed us around the cottage when we arrived to let us know where things like heaters were. We had a mini hiccup with a broken nozzle in the shower but the owner was quick to fix it. We plan to keep this spot in mind for future Thanksgivings.

Cozy place with character
We enjoyed our stay, and appreciated the responsiveness and friendliness of the hosts. The cottage is just off the main road, so it was easy to get around the area from there. We were there in a very cold snap, but the place was plenty warm and cozy. Close to attractions such as Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive.
