My children are grown and have families of there own, so finding a place where we could all stay together was wonderful! The place was clean and comfortable for everyone! We were able to visit extended family while staying there. We plan to be back in the future!

The house itself was interesting due to its age. The property was set off the main road so it was quiet. The house did have an unusual smell as reported by some other guests. The couch/sofa was not in great condition and not very comfortable. There was also a safety issue with a 1/2 door to basement steps that should be addressed.

Nice house, good communication, water pressure a bit a little weak. And the downstairs toilet takes some time to fill.

Kind of like staying at your grandmothers farm house.

Sweet 100+yr old farmhouse in a great location, close to everything we needed with a large yard. The owner was very responsive to any questions/concerns.

What a cute farmhouse. Plenty of space for 5 adults. Very close to where we needed to be. We were very comfortable. Great communication with property owner. A+ all the way around.

This was exactly what we were looking for. The nice quiet property to hang out in while my daughter and her friends were spending time together. It was exactly what I needed so that I had space to move around and do what I needed to while she was off doing what she needed to.

Late October staying at your home was exactly what we needed. Beautiful home and colorful foliage. Thank you for being flexible about our dog. We would stay there again given the occasion to do so.

If you're looking for an up to date modern stay with perfect everything, this home may not be for you. BUT if you want a well loved 150 yes old farm house with lots of character and room for family to gather and pups to play, this is the place for you. Only gave a 4 on cleanliness because of age related things... Could use a bit of TLC to be in tip-top rental shape but still a great stay. Would also be nice to have an antenna for pick up local stations (Roku tv offered) and a TV in the upstairs bedroom would be a great add! Thanks for letting us stay. We really enjoyed being so close to family and enjoy fall hikes in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

While we enjoyed our visit to the area, we found the pictures on the listing to be somewhat deceiving. The property itself was beautiful and peaceful but the home itself was definitely a step back in time. Everything was in working order and although the home was clean, we found it to be not as conducive to a pleasant visit as we originally anticipated. This can be attributed to the age of the home, but future guests should be aware of the historical “charm” and determine if that’s something they would enjoy.

We were very comfortable at this property. House was fully stocked with all the stuff we needed for our weekend getaway. Ian has thought of everything! Comfortable beds and a very clean house. We loved the hen that greeted us from across the driveway. Next concert we drive down for at Blossom, we will sure book this property again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Loved the front porch in the mornings and evenings. Beds comfortable, but small. Couch is old, but pillows helped it. We were there a week and it certainly served our needs.

Spacious 4 bedroom located East of Akron. Very near Summit Racing if you know where they are. It is indeed a very old house, but well equipped. Full kitchen we used a lot. There is a great pool complex about 3 miles away, so not really walking distance, but easy car ride. The upstairs bathroom is attached to one of the bedrooms, so a bit inconvenient for the other upstairs bedroom occupants, But spacious bedrooms, each with thier own window AC unit. Very reasonable price for 5 of us to stay. Most of our activity was around Fairlawn, Richfield and Cleveland, so we had a bit of a drive for all of those locations, but the highway made it easy. We couldn't find a location any closer to our needed activity. Water pressure in the kitchen is a bit light, but still worked fine for cleaning dishes. Other than groceries for a week, we didn't need to buy anything that wasn't provided. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was in a nice & peaceful location. It made visiting Cuyahoga NP easy. It provided quite a bit of space. It’s dog friendly. Communication with Ian was spotty. My initial request to rent timed out. He was slow to respond to questions. With less than 24hrs to check in I still had no information on how to get in to the rental. I had to email and text him before I got told the location of the keys. We knew we were renting an old house. It had an odd odor and seemed stale. The bedding did not smell clean. From our viewpoint the house needs some work before renting. Paint is peeling off walls and ceiling. There is a piece of plywood (or something similar) filling a large area in the ceiling that does not look stable. We understood keeping some rooms locked to reduce room use. Based on the listing description we didn’t know which rooms would be open. As 2 people staying a small room (full bed) on the ground floor next to a bathroom was open along with a larger room (queen bed) upstairs. The upstairs room was much more hot, stale and farther from the bathroom so we opted to stay in the lower room. Sleeping in the smaller bed was not ideal, but the cooler atmosphere and proximity to the bathroom trumped more space. Numerous dishes that were pulled out of the cabinet had dried food stuck to them. Overall we enjoyed our trip to the area but we would not stay at this house again.

Our stay was very pleasant. Much needed rest while visiting Cleveland and seeing 3 classic rock bands at the Blossom music center. Home was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Bill and Anita

Good response to questions when got to property. Good location to downtown. We went to Cuyahoga national park for the weekend and the location was good.

The process was easy and the host was responsive for planning. Cost was maybe on the high side, but there was certainly plenty of room for a family, so that was great.

Ian was great to work with and very flexible with arrival dates. The house was cozy and homey! Having not experienced a northern snowy winter in a few years it was a real treat ! Our pups loved the horses next door and everyone got along great ! Not sure where the chickens came from (don’t feed them) but they are very brave and cute ! Can’t wait to come back next year !

Great location for attending graduation at KSU this weekend. House had everything we needed. Host & neighbors were very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay. Even though we were in town, it felt more like the country with horses and chickens nearby. Great location-close to hiking trails and shopping as well as 2 universities.

The house is set back from the road and is quiet and peaceful. Close to attractions, we were in town to see the rock n roll hall of fame and football hall of fame and this was convenient to both. The horses and chickens on the adjacent property were loads of fun!

11 minutes from the start. Nice home in a nice neighborhood. We all enjoyed the house and would use it again if we had to stay near Akron.

This house is adorable and nice and cozy. Everything was clean and the location is close to Cuyahoga National Park and regular stores if you need to go shopping or want to eat out somewhere. As a piano player, I loved having a piano there to relax with and play late at night or when I woke up. It's also right off the highway, which was a nice surprise.

We enjoyed that it was so close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Cleveland and Canton. Perfect location.

The host attacked me verbally through messages. If not for the rude treatment of the host I would gone by the old adage "if you have nothing nice to say...", but I hope this will deter him from ever speaking to another guest so unprofessionally. His attack ruined my vacation. The house is in need of a deep clean. Mold on bathroom ceiling, A/C units vents were caked with dust, drawers and cabinets are dirty in the kitchen. Downstairs carpet needs replacing, very matted and dirty feeling. Beds were uncomfortable. We saw a mouse twice during our stay. The tree house in the pictures has been gone for a year (or more depending on whether you talk to Fred the person who greets you or Ian). Could not wait to leave.

We knew it was an old house, but didn’t expect the beds (and mattresses) to be just as old. Bugs were crawling out of the sinks and drains in the tubs. Only one window unit was installed and working so the house was scorching.
