Our family of 8 enjoyed our visit to Maine and the home on Castine Rd. We visited Acadia for 2 days and enjoyed a visit to Castine. We loved our afternoon at Back shore beach at low tide. The home was very comfortable and spacious for our family and well stocked with essentials. We enjoyed eating lobster on the deck. Katrina provided so much helpful information and was so easy to communicate with. We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay.

We really enjoyed the place. The location was a center point for all our travels. The place was very well stocked. We had everything we needed to enjoy our meals there. Linens were plentiful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great stay. House is well appointed and had everything we need. It was unseasonably hot while we were there so the a/c u it had trouble keeping up but we were sure glad the house had a/c as most in mid-coast do not. Nice area and close to Acadia and Ellsworth.

This property was exactly as described in the listing. It was the perfect location and stay for our son's Maine wedding. Location is great for sightseeing and exploring the beautiful state of Maine.

Everything was terrific!!! So clean, comfy,and cozy! Katrina was so easy to work with. I'd rent more properties off of her!

Property is a quaint house, with easy access and a nice yard to enjoy, especially if you enjoy sitting by a fire pit. Host is very easily contacted and nice to work with… Would definitely consider staying there again if we are back in the area..

The cottage is very comfortable and well maintained and is located perfectly in between all of the upper coastal areas. There is a sense of privacy, which is lovely at night. I highly recommend staying at this cottage if you are visiting the Belfast, Camden, Bar Harbor and Arcadia area.

Cozy house! Had a few hot days but air conditioning did a good job on first floor. Bottom floor was on cooler side and fine with fans. Only disappointment was the grill racks were rusty so we didn’t feel we could grill . Location was good in between location for everything we wanted to do. Acadia was only 1 hr away. A lot to do in the area and host was welcoming!

Convenient location, close to lots of fun activities. Property is also great for just sitting back and relaxing.

We loved our week at the cabin. It was clean, comfortable and a great location for visiting Castine, the lakes nearby as well as Ellsworth and Blue Hill. It was also great to be able to have our two dogs with us. We appreciated how welcome they were.

All the amenities needed. Owner is a great host and assisted with everything. Close to a quaint beautiful town of Castine!

I planned this trip flying to Boston and then ultimately staying the bulk of time in this wonderful home with my children (8 years to 20 years range). I was a little nervous on the drive of the distance/remoteness but any worry left as I went on, it was like driving through a magazine or movie, so gorgeous. The home is spacious and well supplied for comfortable sleep, cooking, & relaxing. We all enjoyed hanging out there, loved the small town of Castine, enjoyed the drive to Acadia/Bar Harbor area for some activities and day trips but I was always glad and relieved to drive back to this home. My kids loved hanging out in the quiet downstairs. The fire pit, large yard, grill, outdoor eating tables were a wonderful bonus. We all sure hope to return sometime!!! Next time I will fly into Bar Harbor and enjoy this diverse area instead of trying to see so much in one trip.

The house was spacious, well equipped, very comfortable and ideal for family vacations. Bar Harbor about 50 mins away, limited 'shopping', but plenty of sights in the neighboring areas. The only down side is the excess of ticks in the area, but that's native to Maine these days. Overall a very enjoyable week away!!

Location is great between Bangor & Bar Harbor, so best of both worlds in driving distance!!! House is a quaint 4 bedroom & 2 bath property….. nice quiet , and wooded lot for privacy!!! Deck is awesome to sit and watch The Hares hop around!!! A nice short ride to Castine Maritime and to view the harbor and gorgeous houses!! We would most definitely come back !!!

We enjoyed the roominess and outdoor space at this property. We found hiking gems nearby, as well as lovely places to kayak.

We stayed at Katrina’s beautiful home for my daughter’s wedding in Orland, only 20 minutes away. I know the area and usually stay on or close to Little Deer Isle, but I’ve always loved Castine as well, which is only 10 minutes from this cottage. It had every convenience imaginable, was impeccably clean, and I would have given it 5 stars for every category, except our checkout time was changed to earlier than we had agreed to. One of my main criteria when I rent is having a later checkout time for medical reasons. But everything else about our stay was superb! I especially appreciated Katrina’s extra care to reduce the Covid risk.

We came in from NE and MO to visit the area. The house was great! We visited Acadia National Park and Boothbay Harbor and this was a good central location. The house was clean and had enough pots, pans and kitchen supplies for us to cook our own meals. Perfect place!

We had a great trip. The location was perfect—close to Castine and Bar harbor. It was rural—which we loved. The house was clean and comfortable! Katrina stayed in contact with us and made sure we had everything we needed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time staying here. It was so nice to be close to the ocean without actually being on the ocean.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, neatly kept home. Plenty of space for the kids to spread out and play, and a terrific, well supplied fire pit to enjoy. Katrina's communication was great, and was very accessible.

Host is nice and helpful. House is clean and have necessaries. Family had a good time.

This home was everything we hoped it would be and more. Every detail has been thought of by the hosts; any surprise was a pleasant one. The property itself is spacious, clean and well cared for, and is exactly what a cozy, comfy, family-friendly cottage should be :) We very much enjoyed our stay.

The property was well maintained, very close to the castine bay in a quiet and safe neighborhood. A bit outdated on the appliances end, beds were a little creaky but Katrina was an amazing Host. Very helpful and prompt with communication. We were to check in early in the day but due to our car breaking down we reached the property late night. Katrina offered to switch the lights on and start the heat in the cottage as this was one of the folder days in early summer. I would recommend this place I you are looking to get a rustic experience.

What a cute place. This house had everything we needed. It was like being at home. It’s not new, but very clean. Larger than it looks in the photos. Wish the kids had brought some friends, great hangout area for them downstairs. Will definitely stay there again if we get back that way again :)

The property contact Katrina is easy to deal with , makes the rental process a smooth transition and gaining access to the property a breeze!! We found the pictures on line to be true and exactly as pictured and described!! The Castine area waterfront was extremely quaint and a nice ride. The property is pretty close to Bar Harbor & Cadillac Mountain for a nice day trip... We would definitely love to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy more waterfront adventures within the nearby areas...

This house was just perfect for our family. It was comfortable, spacious, with an ample and very private outdoor space. It's located near the lovely small town of Castine, which holds tremendous interests for history buffs and is only a few miles from a perfect little cove beach. We did numerous day trips to Acadia and even as far as Great Wass Island, and the house was a perfect place to come back to and relax. Comfortable beds, very clean, just perfect. The host, Katrina, was welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be back to 931 Castine.

We absolutely loved this house and property! The house looks exactly like the pictures. Everything is clean, as promised. Katrina is a wonderful hostess. She was very attentive and helpful whenever we needed her. She responds very quickly to any questions or problems. We would gladly recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while visiting Maine!

We spent a really nice week here. The house was very much as described, with plenty of beds for a large family. The only issue with a large family would be seating in the living room or eating together. We had 5 staying and we managed. The bathrooms were spotless, and the host provided plenty of towels, both bath and beach, which is very nice. The kitchen was very well stocked. One thing that is missing is air conditioning. I admit that I didn't look for that specifically in the listing, but rather assumed it would be there. The house did have many fans and we were comfortable for the week we were there. All in all, the house is very lovely and I think any family would be happy to stay there.

We had a great time here! Katrina was great at communicating the details we needed to know about. The house was clean and my wife said it smelled great. It was a great home away from home! It was close enough to Acadia, yet far enough away from the crowds. It was also fun exploring the local community. We'd gladly stay here again in the future!

The house was well stocked with kitchen tools, paper goods, and additional spices. There were a couple of sitting areas but the main living area was a bit uncomfortable due to older furniture and no air conditioning. Pretty sure they don’t normally need air but the 1st week of August when we visited it was 84 - 86 in the day and mid 70s at night so with all the windows open and fans running it was still stuffy. The house itself was fine, beds were fairly comfortable but the location was a bit far from most of the attractions we came to see, i.e. Bar Harbor and Acadia NP, but the towns around were cute and interesting to explore as well. All in all we had a good time and enjoyed our time in Maine.
