My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay. Everything as advertised and it was our first time on the Island. I would highly recommend staying at this property

We loved our stay here! The owner Chase is beyond wonderful. The check in process was a breeze. It’s super quiet, adorable and the location is perfect. Chase thought of everything, soap & shampoo, towels, cooking utensils and more, to make it feel like a home away from home. We loved walking to grab donuts in the morning, taking the ferry in the afternoons to ride e-bikes and take in the fun zone, etc.

This was our 10th stay on Sapphire! We are never disappointed by the Vitamin Sea, shopping, bike riding, sea doo excursion, dining that Balboa (Newport Beach) has to offer! Love, love, love this place and the host is exceptional! We will be back and can't wait!

The place was clean and comphy as always nice to have parking. Was perfect right in the center of balboa island.

We had a great stay. It was super clean and well supplied. Lots of outlets for our electronics. The breeze was amazing and we enjoyed the outside patio. The beds were very comfortable. We did use the heat and fireplace a few times and it kept everything warm and cozy. Close to the water and shopping. We would definitely recommend this wonderful place and hope to return again.

This was perfect for a quick get away when we wanted to be on Balboa. About 1/2 way between shopping and the ferry and only a few houses from the little beaches, it was ideal!

What a surprisingly comfortable stay! The beds were bigger and better than expected and we loved having space to hang and spread out our “stuff” on the many shelves and nightstands. Well equipped kitchen and enjoyed the patio BBQ. The fireplace was a nice touch. Look forward to returning!

My husband and I stayed here so we could visit family in nearby Huntington Beach. The apartment is very clean, with modern updates. We enjoyed walking around Balboa Island every day.

This place is a gem. The entire process was easy and the host communicated well. The property was updated and extremely clean and had everything we needed. It was great for our family and it’s a close walk to all of the fun things on Balboa Island.

This our second time staying at the cottage. It is a lovely place to stay. It is super clean and convenient to all of the wonderful things Balboa has to offer. The decor is so nice and inviting. Chase is great to communicate with and quickly answered the few questions we had. We hope to return soon.

I loved this little cottage. It felt like it had tons of space for such a small area. It was warm and cozy when we needed it to be, but refreshing with all the windows open. Close to everything. We loved our stay!

Nicely designed and decorated…kitchen with all the necessities including kuerig coffee maker….warmth and comfort…this was a Christmas getaway - the fireplace in the living room completely set the tone for a cozy holiday getaway - enjoyed the lights on the island! We had a wonderful vacation visiting the Newport Beach area while staying in this lovely, very clean cottage. It was beautifully decorated with a fully stocked modern kitchen and the beds and sofas were comfortable. It was located a short walk from the water, the Christmas lights boat parade, and charming shops and restaurants. A short drive away we experienced stunning beaches. The owner was helpful with suggestions and made the whole check in process smooth and stress free. Thank you for sharing your charming place!

My wife and I are seniors. We found it a very nice, newly remodeled unit. Well designed space and well appointed. Very well equipped kitchen. Tons of storage space. Excellent beds. Note that the unit is up a flight of stairs.

Our first trip to Balboa Island was fantastic! The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. We loved walking around the island on the sea wall sidewalk every morning. We highly recommend this cottage and the area. We will be back.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every little detail had been thought of to make our stay unforgettable. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, the location was within walking distance of everything – shops, coffee + market, and the beautiful bayfront. The layout was open, the beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The attention to detail in the decor made us feel right at home. We enjoyed our 3 day stay at Mariners Cottage. We liked the location being close to both Marine Street and the Balboa Island ferry. We loved that we were able to bring our small dog and appreciated the pet-friendly option.

Had a wonderful week on Balboa Island. Surfing, Paddle Boarding, Boating, Golf, & Shopping. The apartment was clean and spacious enough to accommodate our family. Chase was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed here with friends earlier this year and could not wait to bring my family here. The cottage has everything you could need for the perfect vacation! The carport is an amazing bonus as parking on the island can be somewhat cumbersome during the summer months.
