Our family (6 adults) spent 3 nights at Gone Fishing. The cabin is extremely nice, well outfitted and very comfortable. Location is excellent. Just far enough away from “downtown” Stanley to be out of the chaos but minutes from Redfish and all the beauty that the Sawtooths offer. Gitta was great with communication and we would definitely stay here again.

My fiancé and I came to Stanley to have an elopement wedding at Redfish Lake. It was such a wonderful experience at the cabin. Everything was perfect. It was very peaceful with an amazing view of the Salmon River on the deck. We also loved the star gazing at night. We will definitely come back to stay here. Thank you so much Gita for everything! We loved the white wine you left us 😊

The house is awesome. The town of Stanley is awesome. What makes this place is the owner, Gitta. She is so super nice easy to communicate with. Her recommendations made our vacation. From hikes and fishing spots to places to eat and drink, all were fabulous. Here's to many more wonderful days (and nights - the stars from her place are stunning) in Stanley in our future!

We enjoyed our stay at Gitta's property. She allowed us to book it far in advance for our elopement, which I greatly appreciated. It is conveniently located near Stanley, and it has all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay in the Sawtooths. The view from the porch is so pretty too!

We stayed for the weekend for my Brother's wedding and the cabin comfortably sleeps 6 if you're willing to share a bathroom. I'd highly recommend this space with only a short drive to many locations and a beautiful view to wake up to. Thanks for the delightful weekend!

We spent a long weekend in Stanley for my niece’s wedding. This home was perfect for us! It was close to downtown Stanley, it was very clean, well stocked, and the owner was great at communicating with me. I wish we could of stayed longer! Can’t wait to come back!!

We loved staying at this house. Perfect proximity for all the Sawtooths have to offer and an amazing house to enjoy the peace and quiet of Idaho in the evenings. Extra bonus was the milky way!

We were in town for a wedding and had a great stay! The space was clean, easy to find, and just a couple of miles from town.

We were so impressed with this home! It was immaculate and well laid out. The owners thought of everything, all amenities including laundry facilities which were so welcome after backpacking! A bottle of wine and chocolate welcomes you in the large kitchen. The bed was really comfortable. There are two decks for eating and stargazing in this Dark Sky reserve, where you can clearly see the Milky Way. The cows roaming across the street are so relaxing, The host was very available for questions and suggestions.

We throughly enjoyed our time at Gone Fishing. It was in an excellent location with beautiful views of the Salmon River and Sawtooth Mountains. Our cabin was clean and well supplied. Gitta was an excellent host who went above and beyond to accommodate us. She was very responsive and had lots of suggestions for local activities. Highly recommend!

Very clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The deck was a perfect place to watch the meteor shower. Beds were very comfortable and even though the daytime highs were around 90, the log cabin walls kept it cool during the day if we opened windows at night and kept the blinds closed during the sunniest part of the day. We went white water rafting with White Otter in Sunbeam and spent a day at beautiful Redfish Lake. Would highly recommend this cabin for a jumping off spot to explore the area.

This cabin was incredibly clean and the check in was painless and easy. Our every need was met and then some. Gitta was easy to communicate with and was always looking out for us. She also gave wonderful recommendations. We were very comfortable and the location and views of the cabin were gorgeous. We will for sure be back!!

We had 5 of us (2 adults and kids ages 3, 7 and 10 years old) and it was plenty of room. There really isn’t a yard or anywhere to go on the property besides the deck. We were fine with this, as we spent our days at the lake. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. The gas grill outside with the patio is a major bonus. The beds were a bit stiff, but still pretty comfortable. Only two things I wish I thought about, so I could adapt: no A/C and the road in front is loud. Both fixable with loud fans.😆 Stanley (we have been vacationing here for 35 years) usually doesn’t get too hot, so A/C isn’t needed. However, this year, it has been hot! It was hot at night upstairs-even with the windows and fan on. My 3 year old woke up dripping wet with sweat. We pulled blankets off, slept in underwear and moved fans so they were blowing right on us and it seemed to be better. Just as long as you go into the rental knowing that, I think you will be fine. The location is perfect for a quick drive to Redfish Lake or upper Stanley. Super clean and we will rent again. Next time we will just bring an extension cord (to move fans around) and more fans as we are use to sleeping in air conditioned rooms😆. Thank you for the beautiful cabin stay. The host was wonderful and it was clean!!

We would have been content just sitting on the front deck and taking in the scenery for 4 days. Gitta will be a caring, gracious hostess. The only problem with your stay is that you won't want to leave!

Gitta was a fabulous host and so quickly responsive any time we had a question and gave us great ideas of things to do locally. The house was immaculate and cozy...and you can't beat the view of the mountain and stars at night from the front deck. A perfect base to relax and easily get to all the wonderful hikes and hot springs nearby.

We had a WONDERFUL time as this beautiful property! This place was immaculate and so cute! It was perfect for our stay. Close to downtown Stanley and Red Fish Lake. The cabin was all new, updated and they even had coffee! We recommend this place and would love to stay here again!! Also, HIGHLY recommend the pizza place in Stanley. It was delicious!

Great place great owner she was very accommodating responds quickly the home is beautiful and cozy would recommend staying here and going to explore the sawtooth mountains and the local towns.

It was a very clean home with beautiful mountain views and a kitchen well stocked for home-cooked meals. If I return to Stanley in the future (and I would love to go back), I would definitely book this house again!

The house was perfect. We had a great stay and really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony with an incredible view of the Sawtooths. The house layout was great and nice and cozy. Could not have been any better.
