Lovely cabin stay in the Northwoods: absolutely beautiful setting and cozy cabin feel. Gayl was wonderful and picked up right away when I called -concerned that I couldn't unlock the door. (It gets stiff in the cold!) We would happily return; 10/10 recommend!

We had a wonderful week on Lake Thompson. The cabin was just as described and pictured. Owner was extremely easy to communicate with -- responsive in every way. The setting was picturesque and tranquil. The leaves were turning during our stay and it was beautiful to see. There were deer in the yard almost every morning. Turkeys and ducks, too. It's a short drive into Rhinelander, which was convenient. There are several good restaurants in the area. Three Coins at the Holiday Acres resort is just down the road. Farther afield, we enjoyed the White Stag Inn near Indian Lake and Little Bohemia Lodge in Manitowish Waters.

We really enjoyed our stay. One of our son’s took out the yayak, we had a fire every night and had s’more. We grilled out on the nice Weber grill. We had some friends stop and family too. We saw two deer close by, a turtle,ducks, etc. There was a full wrap around porch, etc. The only thing if it is real hot there is no air conditioning, but nice fans.Gayl is great! We would come back!! Thank you!!

This was just what I was looking for, a nice clean quiet cabin on a lake to spend time with my adult boys, kayaking, fishing and some great naps! Plenty of room to cook and if you don’t feel like cooking the town is nearby with many choices. Great place for the kiddo’s as well.

Our family vacation here was fabulous. It was so peaceful and relaxing. There were 6 adults ranging in age from 19-70. The beach and zero entry into the water was great for my 70 year old mom. We floated in the lake all day and played games every night around the table. There was enough room for us to spread out and have time by ourselves. We are so glad we rented this property and Gayle was fabulous to work with!

Cabin and property were wonderful - perfect for a family getaway. Fall colors and surrounding area were beautiful. Bonus were the 3 white-tailed eagles hanging around!

The enjoyed our weekend on Lake Thompson. The property was clean and it was well maintained. We enjoyed being outside and especially our quiet evenings around the camp fire by the lake with amazing amounts of stars shining down. Exactly what we were looking for. Thank you!

Easy distance from tomahawk. Great area, easy access. nice quite nights to enjoy in the wonderful screened in porch. Great stay!!

My family had a quiet, relaxing week at this cabin. The kids enjoyed the swim raft, multiple play areas, and feeding the resident ducks. The location was great, just a short trip to town for shopping and plenty of day trip options available within an hour.

The whole family had a great and relaxing time at the cabin. Everyone swam off the dock to stay cool, especially on a few really hot days. Gayl and Jeff have a wonderful place and were great hosts. We’ve rented VRBO properties all over the country and this was one everyone wants to come back to again soon.

We had a great time, cute little cottage pretty lake clean water and nice beach the lounging beach chairs were so nice! My three little kids had a blast! It was hot because there was no AC but we managed with fans and all windows open. Overall we had a wonderful time!!

A Fun Getaway
The cabin was wonderful, clean, comfortable, and just as described. Owners were excellent and easy to get a hold of. There are many things to do such as fishing, playing different games and lots of outdoor space for activities. If you’re looking for a place to have fun and relax with your family, I highly recommend staying here! We had a fantastic time and plan on returning in the future.

This was my first experience vacationing with Vrbo and I have to say, it exceeded any expectations I had. The initial process was very efficient and smooth. Gayl, the owner of the cabin, was such a pleasure to work with. She took the little bits of info on why my children and I were wanting to stay and she accommodated us so nicely, providing extra amenities accordingly. It was such a sweet touch and greatly appreciated. The cabin was very cozy, very clean and provided all the necessities you would find at home. We were so overly impressed with the cabin, the location and the whole experience!

Sweet retreat
We had a great stay at this cabin. We found it to be just the right size , in a great location, & clean. We had access to a private dock for our boat, play set for kids, fire pit, & small private beach not far from our door. It fit our needs very well & we enjoyed our stay. Gayl was helpful & easy to work with. We’d return.

We loved the beach and dock area. It was great for swimming and fishing from the dock...fish were caught. The fire pit provided a nice evening by the lake to enjoy sunsets, s’mores and pudgie pies. The location was great too, it was just a couple miles into town to get anything that we forgot. Communication with Gayl, the manager was great. She was very quick to answer all questions to help make our time enjoyable. Very friendly. We would highly recommend this cabin on the lake and hope to return in the future.

Relaxing
Gayl was a pleasure to work with. Very accommodating and available for questions. The cabin was even better than the pictures. The rooms are bigger than they seemed in photos. The view was amazing. Very clean and cozy. We can't wait to stay here again.

Had a great time at this cabin. Gayl was easy to deal with and answered all my questions. Really loved the screened in porch, if it had been warmer during my stay would of spent a lot more time enjoying it. Cabin had great decorations and tons of amenities would suggest it to anyone to enjoy.

We spent the week in town for business and had a very nice comfortable stay in the cottage. The location is so close to everything in town yet still on a nice lake with a large yard. We had everything we could possibly need. Owners are very friendly, cottage was sparkly clean, beds were comfortable and we were even able to watch the Thursday night packer game. There is an adorable screen porch to play games or relax with a book. We had a nice dinner one night at Holiday Acres which is a very short half mile away. Would love to come back soon!

We had everything we could possibly need. Owners are very friendly, cottage was sparkly clean, beds were comfortable and we were even able to watch the Thursday night packer game. Very nice cabin in north woods setting with nice neighbors. Despite the weather, it was a great place for a vacation.

Cutest cabin in the Northwoods!
We enjoyed our time at the cabin that was just as cute as all the pictures. Weather didn't cooperate but still got to do some fishing and sight seeing. Bed was very comfortable and so was the cabin. Every room was decorated so nicely. We were only a couple getting away for a few days but this place had extra bedrooms for people who have families. Owners were easy to contact when we had questions before and during. Would definitely come back again!

Cute cabin with excellent view!
My sisters and I rented the Wylde cabin over Labor Day weekend for a nice getaway from the city life. The cabin was perfect! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and just a few steps away from the Lake. The only thing that bothered us were the mosquitoes, but I’m afraid that’s the Northwoods for you. Make sure to bring your bug spray:)

Big problem - trying to lock doors when leaving to go into town. Patio screen door and glass sliding door do not lock. Alerted owner first day, she did nothing.
Upon arriving cleanliness was only average, couldn’t have been done by a professional cleaner as stated.
Screening on two screen doors ripped at handle area.
Very tired living room furniture.
Too much rent for inferior door locks
And tired furniture.

Lovely week at the lake
We had a wonderful stay at the lake! The cabin was cute and just steps from a lovely beach and beautiful lake. The kids had a great time swimming (sandy bottom, shallow, and raft to swim to). Fishing from the pier was even great. We caught a ton of sunfish, perch, and even a few small bass and walleyes with worms and kid sized fishing rods.
