We stayed for a week with another family. The home is well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The home is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Seaside Market and great local restaurants. The view from the deck is amazing and was perfect for morning yoga. The yard has just enough space for the kids to run around. We really appreciated the boogie boards, surf boards and beach gear. Andy was very responsive before and during our stay. We would definitely rent this home again.

Andy's property in Cardiff is beautiful. The location on the hilltop overlooking the ocean is just as advertised. The sweeping views of the ocean are amazing, and the sunset view from the Master are perfect. We spent two weeks on the property in July: one week was two adults and an infant, and the second was shared with extended family. The space was perfect, with up to 7 adults sleeping comfortably in the home. The location was excellent, with a beach approximately 15 minutes away. Pizza, burgers, seafood, coffee, and drinks, all a short walk away. The only thing to note is that there is no air conditioning on the first floor, and the windows have to be left open. This did lead to some bugs in the home. But this was a minor inconvenience. Highly recommend, we'd absolutely stay here again.

This home is exactly as advertised! The home is well appointed and oh so comfortable. The views are amazing , the beds comfortable, short walk to the beach and restaurants. Andy was always prompt in answering my questions and very accommodating . Will definitely book again if we are back in the area!

We have been renting VBRO for close 10 years now and this has been one of our favorites! The pictures of the house and view do not do it justice. The view from the master suite upstairs was incredible. The décor of the home was warm and inviting, almost like it was our own personal home. You can tell there is a lot of love infused into this house. We enjoyed it thoroughly. The home was stocked with everything we needed too. We usually have to buy something from CVS for our homes while on vacation...not here. One thing I would improve (but would not stop us from renting here again) is the mattresses. The downstairs bed, with the view, was so hard. Maybe a simple egg crate top can be ordered? Our kids spent all their time while home outside in the sandbox and on the side of the house with the toys. My husband used one of the many surf boards the home provides, while my son and his friend used the boogie boards. The home provided everything we needed for the beach, including beach bags, blankets, coolers, umbrellas, etc. The two times we had to call the property manager, she answered right away and helped resolve our issues. We've been vacationing every summer to North County San Diego for 7 years. We loved the proximity to all our favorite spots. Amazing parks for the kids to play within 5 minutes, our favorite restaurants and shopping all within 5 miles. The Seaside Market, Starbucks, and Acai Café made for quick trips along with the amazing yoga studio, Vinyasa Arts, in the same complex. I don't want to recommend this place too much in case it books out for our next trip. ;)

Stayed here for a week in July with the family. The house was great, the house came with surf boards, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs and California parking pass. We used them all. The kids are now hooked on surfing. We had great weather and utilized the out door grille and outdoor deck everyday. Loved starting our day with a cup of "Joe" on the deck overlooking the great Pacific.

The house was perfect for our family gathering which included our one-year old granddaughter. The owners provided a Pack 'n Play and a high chair which was an added perk. The bedrooms were spacious, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Great location near multiple beaches and a short walk away from a local grocery store. Enjoyed the ocean view and beautiful sunsets from both the backyard and the master bedroom. The owners were easy to work with and responsive to our questions. We would highly recommend this house for a relaxing getaway near the ocean.

The house was absolutely beautiful in a prime location. The views from the master bedroom are breathtaking. My partner and I have a child and the owners made it very convenient by havering a pack and play ready for us and in the master bedroom set up of the crib. There were three bedrooms on the lower floor that were absolutely lovely and the house was simply and thoughtfully decorating. (A 4th kiddie bedroom we didn't use). The backyard and patio deck gave you breathtaking views of the ocean and amazing sunsets. The house is conveniently located near the Encinitas train station so that you can travel to San Diego and other beaches if you choose. The neighborhood was very quiet, soothing and calming. Local stores restaurants and shops are located within walking distance or a two minute drive. Our family would definitely go back and stay. Sent from my iPhone

We stayed in this house for a week in March with our extended family. It was a mini-family reunion for my son's birthday and it worked out wonderfully. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful before and during our visit. He made sure the house was set up for little ones and even dropped off a birthday gift for my son. He really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The house was roomy enough that everyone could retreat and have some quiet time or relax together in the living room or back yard. The location was excellent as well. While we rented a car, we rarely had to use it as we were able to walk to the local market, shops, restaurants, and the beach. We had a great time here and would highly recommend this property for a family or multiple families staying together.

The house has an amazing view of the ocean from the Master Bedroom, kitchen table and the deck. Plenty of bedrooms with great beds and comfy bedding a great yard to play outside with small kids and an amazing seating area to watch the sun go down or watch the whales pass by. Renters are great and very responsive!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving with our extended family of 10. We had people ranging in ages from 4-74, and it was perfect for many reasons. 1. Views: The 360 degree ocean views from almost any room in the house were incredible. We spent a lot of family time outside on the back deck watching the sunsets over the ocean while enjoying conversation. The yard is contained and has plenty of room for kids to play and parents to relax with plenty of seating including comfortable lounge chairs. There is also a gated courtyard in the front. 2. Comfort: We never felt over crowded or like we were in each other's way. The living area is spacious and comfortable, and if you need some quiet time, you could always retreat to one of the bedrooms for private time. Hint: the master is the place to be! It occupies the entire top floor and has a wrap around deck, with more spectacular views of the ocean. There is even an ocean view from the master bathtub. 3. Location: We took many walks to the beach and town of Cardiff and Encinitas for shopping & lunch. We also had no problem letting our teenagers walk to the beach by themselves. (you do have to cross rail road tracks and the coast hwy, so you may want to make sure your kids are old enough to manage that). The owners left us a parking pass for the beach so if one opted to drive with the entire load of beach toys it was hassle free. They also supplied beach towels, boogie board and a surfboard. We used them all. 4. Livable: This is a beautiful home that has been renovated and updated but still has some of that old charm. It is very livable and not stuffy where you need to worry about kids ruining or breaking things. The kitchen appliances are high-end and the floors & counters are durable, which is perfect for a vacation beach house. We were very happy with this rental. We would definitely recommend this home for a large family gathering or perhaps 2 families together. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We made great memories with our family and look forward to returning in the future!
