Die Lage des äußerlich und innen sehr ansprechenden Hauses ist ein einziger Traum, wir haben bis jetzt auf vielen Reisen weltweit bisher keinen Ort gefunden, der diese einzigartige Mischung von ruhiger Alleinlage, 180 Grad Meeresrundblick mit phantastischen Wolkenformationen und spektakulären Sonnenuntergängen spwie einem wundersschön angelegten, das gesamte Haus umgebenden, sehr gepflegten Garten geboten hat. Achtung: hohe Suchtgefahr! Wegen des Genusses, an diesem Ort zu verweilen, haben wir viele geplante Wanderungen nicht unternommen, was allerdings leicht zu verschmerzen war.

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus mir allem, was man für einen Urlaub braucht.

The property was beautiful and had amazing sunset views over the sea. The house was comfortable, clean and well-equipped. It was a perfect place to kick back and relax after a day of hiking, or to simply lounge around on a lazy day. We particularly enjoyed having a glass of wine and watching the sun set in the evening!

Objekt genau wie in der Beschreibung, wenn nicht besser. Sehr geschmack- und stilvoll eingerichtet, sogar frische Blumen. Kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes Objekt, liegt sehr ruhig mit einem weiten Blick auf den Atlantik! Man ist sehr für sich und kann die phantastischen Sonnenuntergänge gemeinsam bei einem Glas Wein genießen!

The house is a dream, beautiful and well-appointed with everything you need. Absolutely private as the nearest houses are a good distance away. The larger house on the property (same owner) is completely separate – you might not even notice it – but convenient if you are a larger family or friend group who want to be together and yet apart. Surrounded by three terraces and a small extremely well-maintained garden (the gardener comes by once a week) there is a 180o view of the Atlantic Ocean, audible when there is no wind. In the evening you can enjoy the sun go down in every disguise imaginable and the night sky is amazingly clear. In January mornings and evenings have a certain chill, so the fireplace was used daily. Firewood is available upon arrival and the area is full of pine trees, so collect cones for ignition. At night the duvets were necessary and very lovely. From the house you can go on a lot of different walks, or you can go to other areas. There is so much to explore, and wherever you go it is beautiful – and very varied. One day on the volcano rim the next by the sea. You can do your everyday shopping in Puntagorda with three mini-markets, a German bakery/cafe, a Health store and the famous organic farmers market where the locals sell their fresh produce and the hippies come down from the mountains to socialize. If you want to do some serious shopping, go to the Hyper Dino in El Paso. It has more than you would think possible – our yaws dropped! Right opposite there is a small butcher that also sells grilled chickens and piglets – mouthwatering. A really good take-away option. There are the restaurants you need, marked on the map, and quite good all of them. Convenient that you don’t need to look for a restaurant when you are on tour! The towns of course have a larger selection, Puntagorda at least four. The local wine is surprisingly good, and the TEA wine is a must to try. There are many brands, so go to the Tourist office for the wine route map and buy from the bodega. Well, we could go on about how lovely everything is. We felt at home from day one – both on the island and in the house, that was everything we had hoped. The photos on the site a true and from them it is easy to imagine how it is, but the location has to be experience in real time to understand. Go for it, and you will be blown away.
