We were so pleased upon arriving and seeing that Shady Knoll exceeded our expectations. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Enjoyed sitting on the decks and catching up with my family who I hadn’t seen since before Covid. Would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Mark for your attention to all our needs.

This was a perfect slice of heaven for our stay while we visited Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The house was well equipped and very clean. The host was very attentive and made sure our needs were met. The views were incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.

This property is thoughtfully decorated and appointed. We were deeply impressed by the location and the views! And because the kitchen had plenty to support cooking, we were able to successfully pull of a Thanksgiving meal with our daughter and SNL. This house was much better than we expected. It was roomy and decorated well. We enjoyed the views and the night sky from the decks. We highly recommend this property if you are coming to the area. Mark communicated all necessary information quickly.

The Shady Knoll is all you need and more! The proximity to Sequoia NP is perfect. We loved that even when we got back to the house, the views didn’t stop! Watching sunset and stargazing from the porch was a major highlight! If we ever make a trip to Sequoia again, this is the only place we plan to stay.

This was a very very nice property. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean and nicely furnished. It was nice and quiet with very pretty views.

I cannot say enough great things about The Shady Knoll! The communication leading up to our visit was awesome, Mark made sure that we had up to date information about the National Parks and the status of the roads. And the house is just awesome, the outdoor spaces, the views, the patio built into the rocks, I could have spent a lot of time just enjoying the house, but it is just a couple of miles from Sequoia National Park, which is amazing, and then a short drive further to Kings Canyon, which is also amazing. The kitchen is great, but there are also good restaurants in town if you don't want to cook. I cannot recommend this place enough! You will not be disappointed if you choose this great place to stay!

I’d give it more stars if I could. Place was clean, linens were fresh, and the pictures don’t do the view any justice.

This was a perfect house in such a quiet area. The owners were so thoughtful. The house is very well appointed. The views from all around were spectacular. Lovely places to sit and enjoy the heat of the valley and the view to the snow capped mountains beyond. We didn’t go to any of the surrounding restaurants opting to use the fantastic BBQ and all the kitchen equipment. The Generals Highway was closed and Mark provided helpful information about alternate routes. Might have to come back, travel the Generals Highway and stay again.

My family came from NC to visit Kings Canyon and Sequoia. Unfortunately due to road damage the close entrance was closed due to road damage. However Mark provided so much helpful information in advance of our trip as well as plenty of maps for us to use. It was amazingly well stocked with various kitchen amenities. The view! The pictures do not do the view Justice. The back deck was our favorite spot for the short time we were there. Highly recommend and we hope to come back again one day!

Comfortable home with great hospitality from host. Several outdoor seating areas from which to enjoy the views.

House was perfect for what we needed. Communication with Mark was very good. Arrived and the housekeeper was just leaving. She was wonderful, she walked us around the house and showed us where everything was and was a joy to talk to. All in all this was a five star stay.!!!

I liked the outside view of the snowy mountains.. the thing i didn’t like was that the parks were closed but other than that everything was great i enjoyed it with my family

This little cabin in the mountains is awesome! The location is wonderful, just outside of Sequoia National Park. The cabin itself is nicely updated. Perfect for my parents and I. 2 full bedrroms and 2 bathrooms. Very clean! The entire home was very well stocked from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms! We really enjoyed the views, spending time outside on the front and back decks and we even used the gas grill. I would highly recommend staying here when in the Three Rivers/Sequoia ares! Mark, my only suggestion would be to add some sort of writing paper and a pen or 2, but our stay was wonderful!

We spend New Years here and it was awesome! The house is immaculate and the views are out of this world. From the complimentary snacks/bottle of wine to the regular updates on the park conditions, this is definitely an above average stay. Will definitely come back!
