We chose this property as we wanted to stay somewhere with a swimming pool, yet also within short walking distance of a town with shops, restaurants etc. This combination was tricky to find, but this property fit the bill perfectly. This is a private apartment set within hotel grounds, situated very close to the pool area. The apartment had everything we needed and was spacious, comfortable and clean. There were two balconies that had amazing views of Ostuni and the countryside down to the sea. The pool was lovely and not too busy - my 10 and 12 year old children particularly enjoyed this area. We didn’t drive on this holiday just using the bus and train to get about, however there was a large secure hotel car park across the road which would have made parking very easy. There was a public bus down to the beach at Villanova which stops opposite the hotel, and when we left the hotel reception was able to arrange a taxi for us to the train station (although the same bus also stopped there on its way to the beach). Our original flights were cancelled due to Covid and Irene was helpful with questions about potentially moving to alternative dates – in the end we didn’t need to as we secured new flights. It should be noted that there are a large number of steps through the hotel grounds up to this property. This was fine for us but might not be suitable for someone with mobility issues, (although the hotel did run a free minibus shuttle bus throughout the day).
