Great location ..views beautiful ..however condo a bit dated and carpets & furntiture could do with replacing. The pool and beach area had a very strong smell of Weed… constantly . Sometimes we couldn’t open the patio dooor because Of it. Such a shame.

The condo needs renovation. The great room, dining area and master carpet is full of stains and looks dirty. The furniture is dated. The kitchen cabinet doors and drawer fronts have areas where the finish is worn off from use. The kitchen counter tops are worn and need replacement. There is a constant wind whistling noise around the main door and should be repaired. The views from the balcony are great and I give them a 5.0 The condition of the condo I would give a 3.5.

We did not need to speak to the owner or rental company during our stay, but I will say the unit itself could use a very thorough deep cleaning. The unit has carpeting in the living areas and is very dirty and stained. There is a musty smell that just does not go away, our clothes and towels just would not dry when hung, makes me believe there is a moisture issue. The shower pressure comes out like a fire hose, just be aware, and in the jack and jill bathroom the shower curtain when in use will attack you and stick to you lol

We loved the condo but were disappointed that there were several large stains on the carpet throughout the condo. Other than that I would recommend!

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Emerald Isle multiple times over the past 10 years, including just 3 months ago, and this unit was unfortunately the worst unit we have ever stayed in. We were greeted with an absolutely awful smell upon opening the door. The entire unit had a musty, mildew smell to it. The carpet was absolutely disgusting and in need of replacement. It almost had a slightly damp (not wet) feel to it, and we are almost positive that this was the source of the smell. The kitchen was no better. The garbage disposal smelled horrible, and did not improve with several minutes of flushing it with water and running it. The dishwasher was broken. It did not release the soap from the soap dispenser, which unfortunately we did not discover until we went to run it (after we had eaten off of dishes that presumably were not clean) and noticed the soap dispenser was closed and still contained soap. We ran the dishwasher just to confirm, and the same soap was still there at the end of the cycle. The entire sink filled with waste water and debris when the dishwasher ran. The bed in the master bedroom was the worst we had ever slept on, and my husband ended up moving to the couch half way through the night on most nights. Although the living room furniture is relatively new and comfortable and each bedroom contains a flat screen TV (which we did not use since we spent most of our time outside), unit #502 overall is very, very dated and worn.We had obviously never stayed in unit #502, and won't again, but we had also not used Resort Rentals before either. This was the first stay at Emerald Isle that we did not receive a mid-week refresher for towels, etc. Eight towels for six people for a week in a condo where they wouldn't dry overnight was rather inconvenient. Overall, unless you wanted very limited basic amenities, I would not recommend Resort Rentals, and unless Unit #502 gets redone and the mildew taken care of, I would absolutely not recommen

We rented unit 502, my brother and family 602 and my other brother and family 603. We had planned this trip for about a year and while room 502 and 602 were nice units, 603 what not so great as my brother and family had to be relocated to another unit in another building about 10 minute drive away due to fleas in the unit. This cause the group issues in having to change plans that were previously arranged due to the move and location. But overall we had a great trip with lots of memories.

The only thing that stood between our scenic level of the Gulf of Mexico was beautiful white sand. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The condo overlooked a private pool with security patrolling the grounds. Our Condo was very well equipped with all of the necessities to make our family feel comfort and welcomed. We loved the location as it was not too crowded. Excellent places to eat within a quick drive. We are planning to return next year.

Had a great time all except a baseball team/parents that were staying there for a tournament. They knocked on our door several times a day/night, shot fireworks off in the middle of the night and ran around making noise a lot. Called the cops one night due to an unruly teen and drunken parents. Other than that, it was a great relaxing time. One suggestion would be to change the gate key locks and condo door locks to a combination or electronic key card. The keys stick a lot and are a hassle.

Felt like we had our own private beach. There is only 2 things wrong with this property the hot water heater is not big enough or its going bad, you only get around 5 min of luke warm water but we got use to it. Also the master bedroom bed is hard as a rock, but we got use to it. I would stay here again.

Double bed in non-master room was not comfortable and squeaked every time you moved. There was NO information in the condo about things to do in the area, no notes about how to work the TV, no reminders of what needed to be done before leaving. Also, there were just enough towels for my family and NO beach towels. Overall it worked out ok for my family, but you should know what you are getting when you reserve.
