Paint was peeling off the walls in one of the bedrooms and in the kitchen. The hurricane blind on the balcony is broken; we called to have it fixed and were told it has been that way for years. The furniture is old; metal parts have holes rusting through. The vertical blinds on the windows had several slats missing. And there were ants everywhere. The mattress in the master bedroom is worn out; the mirrored closet is broken. I could go on about how awful the place was - for $2000.00 I expected a MUCH NICER place. This was my dying mother's last trip to the beach - how sad that I couldn't afford to move to a nicer spot for her. The view of the sunset and the water is good - the only plus in this miserable place.

Reviewer Comments: Our rental experience at Land's End in Treasure Island was a perfect destination for family time with our daughter, son-in-law, and our 3 year old grandson. The heated pool was ideal since the weather was cooler than normal during our stay. Our only problem was connecting to the WiFi in the unit. Even using the code provided we could not get a connection. But in the end it was a vacation from technology which really wasn't that big of a deal. We hope to return for another family vacation. Our grandson loved looking for the dolphins!

The location is exceptional. Private Beach, boardwalk, quiet, fantastic sunsets. This condo was nicely decorated with leather sofas, tile flooring and the beds were comfortable. It had most everything we needed, however, surprisingly, we couldn't find a hair dryer. I will make a point to pack one next time. The beach chairs are in bad shape and do need replacing. The one disappointment was the location of the condo. The second floor doesn't offer nearly as nice a view as the fourth floor, which is where I've always stayed before. Also, building 11 is right next to The Mansions, and so we got some street and building worker noise. Next time I will stay on the 3rd or 4th floor toward the middle of this complex. This is no fault to the owner or Resort Rentals, just a personal preference of mine.

My only negatives are that there was a large spot of paint coming off the wall in the 2nd bedroom, the rug in the living room could be cleaned or replaced, and the hot tub being off limits to anyone under 17 years of age. The beach, boardwalk, and the property was beautiful. We will be back and will most likely request the same condo.

The resort is located in a secluded area, with a great pool, hot tub and two great tennis courts. The apartment was on a second floor overlooking the beach to enjoy the sunsets. Our kids loved the area, and we all enjoyed the beach. On site personnel was nice as well as the office personnel. However, I would be hesitant about staying at this apartment. The unit was advertised for 5 persons with a fully equipped kitchen and enhanced cleaning practices. However, the kitchen was far from being fully equipped and cleaning was almost absent. Silverware, dishware and drinkware was of low quality and not enough for a group of 5 to have a meal without the need to dishwash. Kitchen utensils were dirty and of low quality. There was no broom or anything similar to sweep the floor. The unit was very dirty, the cleaning was far from being enhanced. We found empty bottles and paper dish under one of the beds, paper and hair under the master bed, closets untidy and with sand (more than what could be expected in a beach area), laundry extremely dirty, kitchen drawers with dust and dirt, beds outdated and without mattress cover, bed sheets and covers stained. My wife spent almost the entire first day cleaning the apartment and doing laundry as we did not want anyone entering the apartment to clean due to COVID-19. Also, don ́t expect to be received with any kitchen goodies like salt, pepper, vinegar, coffee, etc. as had been the case in other apartments in which we stayed.

It’s on a small quiet beach which was good for the current social distancing situation. Lands End is a nice property with nice amenities. It does appear to be a retirement community though, so expect that. No kids in the hot tub. No playing ball or using rafts in the pool, don’t leave your sand toys outside your unit etc. The staff is all friendly and helpful. The unit we stayed in #207 is not a unit I’d recommend. It has not been updated in the least. The refrigerator is completely covered in rust on one side. You can not run the microwave, toaster, and coffee pot without blowing a fuse. The fuse box isn’t labeled and the door falls off. The oven hasn’t been cleaned and so it’s virtually unusable as it fills the home with smoke upon pre-heating. The couches are leather and are so worn, all the cushioning is gone and if you sit the wrong way, it’s painful. There aren’t working vacuum machines. There is a broom but no dustpan so the sand on the floor gets annoying. The wood covering on the kitchen cabinets is peeling off. There were dead bugs around the perimeter of the unit. All lamps and electronics are connected by a series of extension cords. And it ends up being a big mess of cords. The one bathtub doesn’t work so if you have little ones, they’ll need to shower. All in all, it’s fine. It’s a usable unit. However, since it’s the same price as others, I’d opt for a more updated and clean space. However, we will choose a different place altogether for our next stay. The rental staff was amazing and VERY accommodating. Our issue is with the actual unit itself.

But due to the last corner of the proberty it seems, that they begin cutting the gras right from here. You can hear it from 7 am to 10.30 am just in front of the sleeping room once a week. And you have the noise of the garbage truck at 8 am twice a week. So if you get up early it will not bother you. The laundry and the dishes were very clean. The floor and parts of the furnishings were superficially clean but in fact it was sticky and greasy. For my opinion you can spend there a week without problems but in proportion to the price of renting it should be renovated.

The weather was sunny from the start right to the end. As far as relaxation - we achieved that as well and came away ready to tackle the world again. The only real drawback was the fact that the property was remote from any amenities, we had to drive to get groceries, restaurants and even church. Other than that the beach was spectacular and the abundance of wildlife was awesome.
