We have enjoyed our stay. Easy communication with the Owner Leslie. This old renovated house is charming and tucked within the old town. Paola who managed the check in and check out was very attentive and very accomodating with plenty of useful suggestions. We highly recommend.

Our stay at bourbon was great. Beautiful location, quant town and historic feel.

The Maison du Puits in situated in the village of Boulbon, a short 18 km south of Avignon, and a world away from the traffic and tourist hustle one finds in urban Provence. Surrounded by orchards and vineyards, Boulbon is a gem with one boulangerie, one mini-market, and two cafes/restaurants that seem to be all the residents need to live a satisfying Provencal life. The house is immaculate on three levels with room for many though there were only two of us. Stay at the Maison du Puits and wonder why anyone would consider staying anywhere else. And Paoula, the caretaker is a gem; speaker of at least three languages and a joy to interact with. More than a five star experience.

Bijzonder prettige- en sfeervolle woning in het historische stadje Boulbon. Met name als je houdt van een verblijf in een authentiek Provençaals huis. Goed contact met de plaatselijke sleutelhoudster Paola en haar man. Goede uitvalbasis voor tripjes in de omgeving, o.a. Avignon is dichtbij. Alle voorzieningen om de hoek.

Special home in a lovely village. The house was very clean and well supplied with everything necessary, and more, for a stay of a week or longer. The house is just within the walls of the 13th century chateau (now in ruins), with part of an old high wall enclosing the terrace. We were met by Paola who provided with all the information we needed, including unique places of interest in the surrounding area (thank you Paola, we visited all of them). Boulbon itself is quiet with narrow streets and paths. The boulangerie and market were just a minute away. A few minutes furthered there is a cafe and a brasserie. There is also a very nice restaurant around the corner. Good hiking on numerous paths is available in the hills behind the house. Loved the house and the town, and we hope to return.

The kitchen is fully equipped for full meal cooking. The details of all the original structures and modern conveniences are wonderful. The photos on vrbo really don't give this place justice. But I don't know how they could. There are so many curves and lines in the stonework that cannot be picked up by a camera. And there is also a "feel" about the dwelling that cannot be described either. Driving up into Boulbon at night is magical with the fortified chateau lit up. One truly feels like they are stepping back in time while walking through the medieval gates & streets. There are many fun extras at the home that we didnt have time to use. We did enjoy drinking wine on the terrace :)There are a couple yummy restaurants in Boulbon as well. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We have shared a wonderful time with our three 20-something-year-old children that we will always cherish. We picked this lovely home due to its proximity of sightseeing and ease of parking. We took day trips to Arles, Cassis, Nimes, Pont du Gard & Les Baux, and Vaison la Romaine. There are many more sights to see that we just didn’t get time to enjoy. Met een groep vrienden genoten van een deugddoende vakantie in deze mooi gelegen vakantiewoning. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan enkele bezienswaardigheden van de Provence. Ook een compliment voor het warm en vriendelijk onthaal door Paola die ook steeds bereikbaar was.

Très belle maison, très bien équipée et aménagée avec goût. Le village offre un intérêt tant sur le plan architectural que pour son environnement et ses commodités. Le gérant est particulièrement réactif.

Tooles altes gepflegtes Haus mitten im Ort, fussläufig ist alles vorhanden. Ruhige Lage und dennoch zentral für Ausflüge in alle Ecken der Provence. Paola ist immer ansprechbar und hat tolle Tips & leckere Tomaten

A lovely home beautifully equipped with everything that you could need. Even good quality pots and pans! The terrace is just fantastic and we passed many happy hours there enjoying the peace and quiet and beauty of Boulbon. The tiny village is lovely, scenic and accessible. A short walk to bakery, butcher, grocery, post office, cafe/restaurant. Short drives to enjoy the gorgeous cities, villages and sites and attractions of Provence. There is a short bit rather steep hill to climb to get to the house from where you can leave the car, so that be a consideration for some. We enjoyed our stay immensely and highly recommend the property, the village and the area.

Wir, sechs Erwachsene und ein Krabbelkind, haben hier zwei sehr schöne Wochen verbracht. Das Haus ist liebevoll restauriert und bestens ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Boulbon selbst ist ein charmanter Ort mit sehr freundlichen Menschen. Bäckerei, Metzgerei und ein kleiner Supermarkt sind zu Fuß in zwei Minuten erreichbar. Paola, die außerordentlich freundliche Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort, war bei Fragen stets erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Danke nochmal für das Organisieren des Kinderhochstuhls! Ebenso war die Kommunikation mit den Besitzern unkompliziert und sehr zuverlässig. Ein Hinweis für Familien mit einem Krabbelkind: Die Treppen und die Terrasse waren mit unserer Kleinen doch etwas anstrengender, als wir es vorher eingeschätzt hatten. Dennoch würden wir jederzeit wiederkommen. Es hat uns sehr gefallen!

We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed this town. Our two weeks flew by and we had so much more to see. Close to Avignon, Arles, the Luberon & Nimes (amongst others). The house is tucked away in a back corner of the town, a very short walk to the bakery, small grocery store (which opened at 7 am and while we did our large shops in Tarascon it had everything we needed in between) and pharmacy. The walk to the central parking lot was less than 5 minutes. There is a lovely split-level terrace, we ate outside nearly every meal at the end of June. The table has a large umbrella we used mid-day and brought down in the evening. Our family of six had a great stay and all wished we could stay longer!

Superb property - beautifully restored and comfortable house in charming village - sixty second morning run to the great boulangerie. Owners and caretaker Paola very helpful. Close to so many lovely towns and villages - we spent a perfect week in January - can't recommend it enough. We hope to return.

We stayed 2 weeks in December 2019. The house was clean, comfortable and cosy. Exactly as depicted in the overview. Very spacious and well equipped. The village of Boulbon and the residents were all very friendly. We really enjoyed the Marche Noel. Paola was very helpful and friendly. Bill & Julie

The home was exactly as described and shown on the VRBO website, with absolutely no unpleasant surprises. Paola, the caretaker was there to meet us and guide us through the villa, explaining how everything works. She and all the other inhabitants of this quaint village make us very welcome.

Wir hatten das Haus zusammen mit einem befreundetem Ehepaar gebucht. Die Übergabe und Einweisung durch Paola war unkompliziert und umfangreich. In Boulbon sind alle notwendigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Das Haus ist umfangreich ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Aktivurlauber, Wanderer, Radtouristen haben hier ein ideale Unterkunft.

It is difficult to describe how beautiful this house is! We had plenty of space for two couples and two teenagers. The patio was perfect for dinners outside. Boulbon has everything we needed, with the bakery, butcher, market, and two excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Everything that we wanted to visit was within a 30 minute drive. Paola, the caretaker, was patient and kind and full of local information.

What a great town Boulbon is, friendly, helpful people . One of everything. Great location for visiting rest of Provence. Paola, the property manager , helped to make the stay especially pleasant and memorable. Thank you.

My friends and I were delighted with the Maison des Puits and with Boulbon. The historic house was charmingly renovated and had all the amenities we needed. People in the village were quite friendly and it was so convenient to have the plaza and small shops within walking distance. Boulbon is an excellent location for making day trips to places like Arles, Avignon, Nimes and Isle sur la Sorgue. We had a wonderful dinner at L'Oranger our last night in Boulbon. Though there was a glitch in our check-in process, Les was in touch right away...and Paola and her husband were helpful upon our departure in getting our bags to the car. Overall it was the perfect place for a reunion of 3 long-time friends!

Boulbon is a wonderful location centrally located to make an easy day trip of everything you want to see in Provence. The house is charming and well equipped and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Paola, who oversees the property, was wonderful and did more than extend herself, making everything easier. It was also a very interesting experience for us. Our previous VRBO rentals had all been large country manor houses for the extended family. Staying in this small village with the castle looming over us and the village butcher, baker and grocery all within 50 yards was a truly wonderful way to meet people and experience a different life than we are used to. Fully recommend it.
