Our stay was fun. It was great to have four generations to celebrate together. Mom is 88, and wanted a tiime with her children, grand children and great grandchildren. She got her wish. The downside was that the beds were uncomfortable to sleep on, and a few problems with the property, which were communicated with the owner. Overall, it was a nice gathering, and the house fit all of us.

The basement had flooded, the owner had cleaned up most of the water except there was a pullout couch with a mattress literally dripping huge amounts of water, we had to take it outside, the dehumidifier had to be emptied multiple times (15+), and by day 2 mold was growing on the baseboards. My guests had to sleep upstairs on chairs and love seats and ended up leaving early. It was disappointing because we had stayed in 2019 and it’s a wonderful location and house.

Advertised as having two kitchens - downstairs kitchen was not equipped at all. Coffee maker did not work - appeared to have been broken by prior renters as it was filled with water and coffee - but would not turn on. When we arrived air conditioner was not on - Landlord did respond promptly with code to turn on. Downstairs bedrooms became unusable after the storm - which is not the owner's fault - but one had a definite musty smell even before the storm. We had thought the owner would have arrived to get the saturated rugs out of the lower level and see what could be done during out last three days - AND we expected a coffee pot since we were staying a whole week - Amazon could have delivered one promptly. Location good - and family time good - just not what we had expected.

Stay was ok. Although i reached out to Bob to see how we charge the golf cart and he didn’t get back until the day we left. Then he charged me $100 for a blanket without asking us where it was first. After 4 weeks of telling him where it was and him ignoring me, he finally refunded me (after getting VRBO invoked). There was also a bug problem on day 5 due to a storm I believe. But I think they came in because of the storm. I Would not recommend using this host ever.

Actually have stayed in this house twice. Lots of room. Remember to get trash to appropriate place before 3 pm! Our host was kind about this. Some of us had a lot of bug bites, bring your bug spray, you’re on an Island. Don’t plan on watching much TV, Wi-Fi on Island is not great. So much to do and places to visit on KI!! Enjoy!!

very large family all able to stay from age 4 months to 90 . had a great time

Our large family had a wonderful time here. The house met all of our expectations and was a perfect size for all of us. The location was fantastic, and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the water. Thank you!

The place was great and had plenty of space for 16 full sized people. Unfortunately, the heat did not work well for the upper level and there were not any heavier blankets available. The thermostat had a code which was not available and the owners did not respond to our requests for help. In general, the biggest complaint was the lack of communication from the owners. In the end, a valuable item was left and we have not been able to contact the owners for help getting the item returned.

Great place to have some fun and unwind!

The property was very nice inside. The outside was a bit dated and could use a good power wash but that didn't hamper our girls weekend. The downstairs was a great place for us all to gather. The owners were very responsive after we got in and settled. We got to use the golf cart on the premises but there isn't an easy access to the main road. Overall very satisfied with this property.

Plenty of space with many bathrooms for our big group! Best part Of our stay was hopping on the golf cart and checking out the island. Highly recommend.

This property was great for our 2 week stay on Kelley's Island. We had a large, diverse group of friends and family and there was plenty of room to accommodate all. House was very clean when we arrived. We had some provider specific technical problems with internet and satellite TV that were finally ironed out by the 2nd week. Owner was very responsive during this process. Property also had 6 person golf cart available for additional fee which came very handy. We really enjoyed the large deck with the view of the lake. Great backyard as well for playing yard games. There is a 4 car limit for driveway parking that is best to honor in order to maintain peace with with neighbors. Overall very pleased with this property and our communications with the owner. We would definitely rent again for our next trip to Kelley's Island!

The house was well laid out and large enough for our whole family. Everything functioned well and location was great, especially for children.

We returned with family to Kelly’s Island. We enjoyed our stay and the home. It is close to the water and we’ll equipped which made our stay very enjoyable. The only issue we had was the WiFi on the entire island didn’t work most days. But the property manager did his best to help. Last year when we stayed we complained about the sofa bed, which has been replaced and was great this year. If we return again next year, we will try to make arrangements to get the same home. Thanks for sharing your home with us. The neighbor was still crabby, but we had little contact with him.

Terrific location, house absolutely beautiful! The lake views were awesome, our family had a fantastic time ! Roaming the island was so much fun, seeing the glacier grooves, inscription rock, viewing all the different styles of houses ! We came prepared we cooked all our meals at the house, one day before lunch we went to the winery and had a cheese plate with salami and sangria ,really good ! We would love to return again , book this lovely home with sweet view of lake you wont be disappointed !

Our experience was excellent. Booking and check-in was very simple. The house was very clean, exceeded our expectations, and was the perfect accommodation for our group of 10 adults. We were very pleased with this property and already have plans to visit again next year!

First I was skeptical about some of previous reviews but this place is very clean and close to lake. We had very relaxed vacation with friends and family. It has full kitchen if you like to cook and walkable distance to downtown. Watching sunset was the most memorable experience. some of us enjoyed the bikes from his garage. I wish Bob could provide golf cart in garage for rent? Because of Inssurance he couldn’t. Will defiantly want to come back for another trip.

Great vacation. Rental was very nice and conveniently located near the lake and village. Plenty of room for our family of eleven.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this home on Kelley’s Island. The house was very clean and there was a lot of space to spread out inside and outdoors. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet. The owners were very responsive to our needs and concerns. Just two concerns: Don’t rely on the pullout couch for sleeping and bring your own games/puzzles. Overall it was a wonderful getaway!

We have stayed in about 5 different homes on the island, this is by far our favorite! The view is great, the decks are amazing and the home is spacious and very well kept! We also took advantage of renting their golf cart for the week...definitely spoiled us! The only thing we wish would've been more clear was the bikes, there was only 1 adult, 1 junior and 3 kids bikes. We thought it would be closer to the 15 that was advertised, we would've brought more to the island to ride. With that being said, everything else was wonderful! I got in contact with the owner and got immediate help and feedback. If we return to the island, we will definitely be staying there! Thanks!!

The view is amazing from the deck and the house was perfect for our family and friends families! The kids loved staying in the basement together and there were more private bedrooms for the families who wanted their own space on the top floor. We had kids ranging from 7-16. They ALL loved it! The communication with the manager was excellent. We had a quick response to any questions we had. We hope to rent this home again for our group!

We all had a great time. Had 14 in group. Had plenty of room. Said could accommodate 18 but could not see where the beds were to support that many. All was great except a few of the beds, especially the sleeper In The front room was not A comfortable mattress. Loved the location and solitude.

The house was as advertised and more. I brought along hand soap, garbage bags, detergent and the like, but the owners had left all of that for us. We stayed with our kids and grandkids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The view from the deck was spectacular and unlike previous reviews, we had zero problems with neighbors. As a matter of fact, the ones to the right were very friendly. The bed in the first floor master was pretty hard, but that’s a preference thing.....the suite was clean and comfortable with a private bathroom. Plenty of outdoor chairs. There were even some around the fire pit, which was nice because we spent a lot of time outdoors. Highly recommend this rental, which I don’t often do. The grandkids tell us we must rent it again!

First this property is so wonderful, spacious, and clean but what placed it over the top was the communication with the owner/property manager! I didn’t experience any issues mentioned in earlier reviews at all it was super clean and in fact we were given the thermostat code but didn’t need to use it ...perfect. The location was awesome, views were beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! We will be back to this one without a doubt :). Thank you again for sharing this beauty with the Howard family!!!

The home was lovely and in a perfect location on Kelly Island. There were enough bedrooms to accommodate our large family. I especially liked the quiet streets that allowed the grandkids to explore the island on their bicycles. The back deck was so comfortable, having a lovely view of the lake. Availably of the large kitchen, a couple of refrigerators, good restaurants, and a convenient washer and dryer, made for a great week Home Away!

This home is quite nice. It was clean and seemed well cared for. It’s very large and was able to comfortably accommodate our large family. The deck has a nice view of the lake.

Neighbors were not friendly at all. Saw the neighbor several times taking photos of our belongings. House could be maintained better. Light bulbs etc.

Bedrooms in lower level smelled moldy. No air circulation in lower level and air-conditioner could not be adjusted., making lower level too cold. No extra blankets available or sheets on sleeper couches. Big hole in driveway. Flat tires on most bikes.

Lots of room...very nice lower level for teenagers...great place to vacation with large group...many bedrooms and bathrooms...upper suite the best..

Easy jaunt from the ferry and downtown. We had a larger group and the house comfortably fit our sleeping needs, plus the backyard, patio, and view was nice. I'd book again if staying in the area. Separately, shoutout to the Kelleys Island Audubon Club for a great event on the weekend we stayed.

We had a large group and this house was the perfect fit. It was big enough to be comfortable in and have our own private space. Yet, if we all wanted to be together or split off in small groups doing different things (playing card, watching tv, or just sitting around talking and have some coffee or a cocktail) it was perfect for that as well. If you are looking for a great place and a fantastic host...look no further.
