This house is absolutely perfect!!! We have previously rented the top unit only, and that unit is also perfect! We enjoy this home so much. It has everything a family needs to enjoy their vacation!! Kitchens are well equipped with your everyday things. They have beach chairs, beach toys for the kids! The pool was a big hit with everyone, especially the kids. The view to the ocean or marsh land are also awesome! This house is also pet friendly, and my dogs truly think this is their second home!! ( I wish it was) Bill and Beth have put a lot of care into this property and it shows! They are always accessible if a problem should arise. Thank you Bill and Beth for sharing this property with us!! We hope to be back next year!!

Wind beneath My Wings (both units together) is the deal you can find on Holden Beach. It's only 2 miles from the bridge, there's an in-ground salt water pool and you get two kitchens and two living rooms! It's absolutely perfect for an entire family. We had 8 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 youngsters. Everyone had breathing rooms and never got in each others' way. The owner is incredibly easy to deal with, very nice, and immediately reachable in case there is a problem. She was very accommodating a specific request as well. We cannot recommend this house highly enough!

This house was perfect for our 3 generation family. It came with just about everything that you could possibly need in the kitchen. Nicely decorated and everything felt clean and comfortable. We normally drive on vacations like this so that we can bring all our beach gear, but we could have easily flown as well. This is because the house came with low sitting beach chairs, a wagon, plenty of sand toys for the kids, and two outdoor grills. We sat out on the porch in the mornings watching the ocean, the shell hunting on the beach was fantastic, and the pool was lovely! There is a large deck overlooking the pool and the seniors in our group enjoyed watching the pool play from there. We had an amazing stay and were really sad to leave! We hope to be back next year.

Our stay here was wonderful! The space is accommodating for a larger group and the location is superb. The downstairs unit was perfect for our late sleepers without the hustle and bustle of the morning upstairs! The deck is huge and perfect for hanging outside. Pool was warm and we were just steps away from the beach. The house was clean and well-maintained and Beth was a great host who responded to messages quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Nice location and good views of the ocean, marshes and the new pool from the front and back decks. Close walk to the stores by the pier which was convenient. When we first arrived the downstairs had a very strong peculiar unpleasant odor that lingered all week and got slightly less the last couple days or we just got used to it. None of us could figure out what it was or where it came from. House was not very clean, sand in cabinets and drawers in some places. Took over an hour to clean and burn off crud in the two charcoal grills before we could use them. The kitchen, screen porch and outside shower were cluttered with owner or other renters items especially on the porch and around the outside shower inside and out, things not shown in house photos. Outdoor shower bench was filled with deflated old float tubes and things. Toys, floats, old cushions, etc were on the porch and around downstairs sitting areas making it hard to find places for our things. Many of the windows were dirty or fogged up, screens fraying and torn affecting the views. Can’t use microwave when dishwasher is running, fuse problem (per owner note). Most of the cookware (pots and pans, knives) are old and worn and don’t cook well, food sticks, non stick burned off, etc. All the toilet seats were loose and a couple were barely hanging on. The spiral staircase is challenging for us older folks, the kids liked it. Numerous mentions of fees posted around the house and in every rental towel and sheet bag that we would be charged for different things if not done or returned properly and email reminders that we were ‘required’ to take the trash out and when, despite all that being in the instructions. Beds were not made when we arrived, we had to make them and then asked to remake when you leave. The pool liner is slippery when you first step on the top step getting in and going down the steps, I slipped and fell one time on the pool deck. The Saltwater pool was much more pleasant than the old chlorine ones and the kids really enjoyed. We still tried to enjoy our week but had hoped from previous good reviews and pictures it would be cleaner and nicer, although several reviews did mention clutter and dirt, etc. In fairness to the owners we did not contact them about these things as we wanted to enjoy the week in peace without distractions but for the ‘substantial’ price paid for the week it was to bad the house had so many detracting issues that are fixable

Wind Beneath My Wings is the perfect house for our family. The pool was great when the surf was too rough for the little ones. The interior layout worked as everyone could congregate upstairs for family time or be separate to do other things like homeschool. This was our first trip to Holden Beach but won't be our last. A salt water pool…we loved that! House was beautifully decorated and felt spacious with 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms and dining rooms. Kitchen well stocked. Everything was neat and tidy. I really liked that !

Our family enjoyed the great location on the beach and the ability to take our dog for a walk In mornings and evenings! The owners were very nice and receptive to any questions or items needing attention. It is a very cute and clean beach house!

We loved how close the house was to the general store and the ice cream shop....and of course - the beach! The pool is wonderful. Great communication with owner. We hope to be back soon!

Reunion with life long friends. The house provided more than enough space for all. Decorated beachy, amazing salt water pool, amazing view off the back snd front deck. Just a few steps and you are on the beach and in heaven. Will definitely rent next year.

This house was perfect for our family with two complete apartments on two levels. Our 4 year old made good use of the spiral staircase to visit with grandpa daily! The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Can’t say enough good things about the owners and their great communication and information about things to do in the area.

This property is ideally situated on the beachfront in Holden Beach with no homes located behind it - so you have the beach to yourself. The house is the perfect size for a large family to share with 3 bedrooms up and 2 downstairs. Beth was great throughout the booking and arrival process. This was our first time to Holden Beach and this proved to be a great location - the kids could walk to the general store and ice cream shop each evening.

My sisters and our families got together for the first time in years for a vacation at the beach our parents took us to as children. The cottage was perfect and the DuValls were great to work with. We hope to do it again soon.

This was our first trip to Holden Beach. The beach is right out the door and we enjoyed the great views from both decks. Having two levels gave us plenty of room for our extended family. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. Thanks to Beth and Bill for making us feel at home!

We come down to Holden beach every year in August and have stayed in many houses over the years. Beth and Bill's house at 503 OBW was one of the best. There are 2 levels so there was room for the kids to have an area and the adults to have an area. the house is dog friendly so I was able to bring my dog Harley along and that was one of the best things this year as he is one of the family. Linens were provided and the house had everything we needed to enjoy the week. There was a nice big outside shower that we used every day. There was a side patio on the lower level that was fun to hang out outside and chat. There was a screened in porch on upper level as well for overlooking the beach. The beach was right outside the back door and we really enjoyed being that close and the great views from the back deck. We really enjoyed our visit this year and much thanks to Beth and Bill for making us feel at home.

We had an overall great experience at Wind Beneath my Wings! We stayed over the week of the 4th of July and were greeted with a lovely arrangement of fresh cut red, white, and blue flowers. Lots of room for ten people we had staying there. The only improvement I would suggest is to spray for spiders. We killed 4 huge spiders downstairs and found several dead carcasses. House keeping could have done a better job (debris under chairs and sofa for instance). Also, my husband thought the upstairs air conditioner couldn't keep up with the intense heat outside (105 some of the days). However, the rest of us were very comfortable.

We had a great stay - the house was ideal for our extended family of 9. Location was perfect - ocean was 15 yards from the house, no houses behind it so marsh views from that side and the beach felt like it was our private beach. Having 2 Living Areas works perfectly and the rocking chairs make relaxing easy. Ice Cream shop was a nightly visit as it about 8 houses away and its oceanfront.
