Excellent historic motel that has remained true to authenticity! Bed was comfortable and room was clean and quiet.

Ein sehr liebevoll erhaltenes und gepflegtes Juwel von einem Hotel!! Unerwartet komfortabel, wobei noch Vieles an den Zimmern aus den 1940iger Jahren erhalten ist. Ein ganz besonderes Hotel, dass man sicher nicht mehr vergisst!!

Thoughtful and engaging hosts. great vibes at Rt 66 hotel. Period furnishings, layout, and signage--very cool!! Highly recommend a visit. Good eats breakfast and dinner nearby. Hiking, too, if you have time.

This was an excellent stay. Comfy beds! Good water pressure for the shower! The owners are amazing and kind. My daughter and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and nostalgia of this classic Route 66 motel with refrigerated air 😉. We enjoyed the classic music, neon lights, and people sitting out in front of their rooms chatting. I will be back again on our travels sometime 😀.
We also forgot something, and the owners called within the hour of us leaving and let us know. The items were in a package when we arrived home from our trip. Such impressive customer service!!!
We should have stayed another night 😉

Loved the way they are trying to maintain as much as they can from back in the day. The bed was very comfortable, and that's a great thing! The owners were very excited to give us the history of the hotel, and were also very accommodating with a potential stay for the next night as well.

The Blue Swallow Motel is a beautifully preserved jewel of Route 66, and staying there is almost like time travel. The ambiance was incredible, and the owner was a wonderfully knowledgeable guide, both to the property and to Tucumcari. The room was as comfortable and clean as you could ask for, and the shower was powerful and hot.

The welcome at the Blue Swallow was fabulous

Robert had real brewed coffee ready in the lobby at 6:30. He gave us all kinds of advice for day trips. He & Dawn have kept the 30's ambiance of the "auto court" but with modern comfort. We even had a working rotary dial phone in our room! We enjoyed sitting outside our room in the afternoons listening to music from the 40's & 50's.

Precious property, a step back in time. Owners very accommodating and welcoming. Have wanted to come here for a long time after passing by on a road trip year ago. Room was clean and comfortable. Towels were soft and smelled good- unlike normal sandpaper-like hotel towels. It’s the little things!
No complaints! Very glad we finally decided to stay and check it off our bucket list! ✔️

hot tea is all require in the morning. Facility is amazing, original 40ties style, just adorable. Proprietors are so friendly and accommodating, for got my tablet, sent to my home the next day. exactly what I thought my stay would be like.

The room was just what I expected to see in a vintage motel from the sixties.

Built in 1939 and kept in good condition. The owner showed us around and described history. It costs more than average for area but delivers the ambience of hwy 66 but with modern conveniences.
Some might not like walking 50 feet for the morning coffee. But it provided a chance to chat with owner and other guests.
