We loved our stay in Truckee. Jim even got us a Christmas tree and his daughter, Becky, was super fast responding to our messages.

Beautiful 3 story home allowed space for everyone to stretch out and relax - all ages. Kitchen gadgets and tools were all kind were available to prepare most anything. Rustic decor was pleasant and comforting. A great place to come back to! Ample supplies were so helpful as well.

Excellent location in the trees of Tahoe Donner. Had a great time with plenty of room. Everything worked as expected and made for a fun week for all ages.

Great location. Huge garage and backyard. Two large dining tables in separate rooms so great to keep kids on one dining table and the other used by adults. Perfect for several families.

We had a great stay at the Kroske cabin. We had a 5 families stay there and the kids and adults all loved it.

This property had everything we needed for a family reunion. Kids loved the pool table and the little ones loved going up and down the stairs. There’s a lot of space in the backyard to go sledding without having to find a park! Otherwise, we had a great time, everything we needed in the kitchen, and a great check in and check out. Internet can be a little slow in the area but we had no issues switching to cellular when it was slow. Groceries store near by so no need to carry all the food to the property unless Truckee is completely snowed out. Overall would stay here again!

It’s our second year here and it never disappoint. Not only the house is beautiful, the backyard is the best for snow play, we never have to leave the house. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

great house- warm, lots of room. The only complaints were no pillowcases on " office bed" - one set found in another room. Several dishes, skillets, pots, pans were dirty with food particles . Garbage disposer had 2 bottle caps in it- noticed food particles in sink drainer on arrival. Was able to clear- Great Place!!!

James was very caring, friendly and always was checking in on us to make sure we were safe when the electricity went out twice during our stay. The house is very beautiful and spacious. I loved the game room. Definitely recommend this house to everyone.

I was in another house but my friends were in this house. They had nothing but nice things to say. Very spacious and great for large groups.

The house was great for a large group of 8 people and had plenty of room for sleeping more. Due to forest fires about an hour away the air quality was very poor on every day, except our first day. We decided to stay indoors and make the best of the circumstances. We found plenty of activities to do in the house including pool, board games, dice, etc... Jim was communicated in a very timely manner and was understanding of the circumstances. I recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. Cheers!

The house is HUGE!

The host could have provided access to the main Wifi, but overall he was very accommodating to us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is warm, inviting, and has ample space with terrific features. There are plenty of activities to do around Donner and the house is in a great location.

Lavish and beautiful. Nice facilities. Two things to consider for the owner WiFi upgrade and some bathroom knobs don’t close Has a lovely pool / bar room and 3 floors.

Amazing experience at the Kroske home. Very 90s vibe, lots of rooms and spaces. Super baby and kid friendly with toys, board games and even a baby walker and high chair. The kids loved the fact that there was enough snow in the backyard for them to play in all day so we didn’t have to leave anywhere. Great communication with the owner whenever we had any questions. Thank you for everything!

We planned a family ski trip to Tahoe in February not knowing what conditions would be due to Covid. Luckily some restrictions had been lifted and we were able to complete our trip as planned. Jim, the owner, was very understanding and worked closely with us to help make our trip happen. He was easy to contact and readily responded to any of our questions or concerns. The house fit our needs perfectly and the three car garage was a godsend as we had a fair amount of snowfall during our stay. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The Kroske cabin is everything you'll need for a large group - plenty of beds, large kitchen/living room area, and lots of space to relax after a day on the mountain. Jim is a communicative and welcoming host. I would recommend this home to all!

When we arrived we were able to get into the house and everything was more that what we expected. The decor was perfect and there were plenty of games to play during out stay. I recommend this house. Also the back yard area was perfect for playing in the snow. I will be using this house again.

Everything about this cabin/house was perfect. We had 8 adults and 7 young kids and it never felt crowded. The 2 dining rooms were great to get a little space from the kids. All rooms seem bigger then they appear in pictures. Jim was easy to get ahold of and very helpful when we had a couple questions. He even last us stay a little after checkout time until the roads were cleared from an overnight snowstorm. Backyard was awesome, even before the snowstorm, it still had a lot of snow even though it had not snowed for about a month, which was a nice surprise. I could keep going. House was incredible. We have been renting Mr. Kroske's place for several years. The location is perfect, the house is very large and always clean. We love it there can't wait till next year. Thanks Jim!!

This rental appeared as it did in the photos. The price was a little high for what the interior looked like but the location was perfect and great for kids because the backyard is a golf course and they could do some light sledding down the hills. The only major complaint is that the place was dirty upon arrival. There were crumbs on the counter, dirty sinks, and get this...DOG POOP sitting on the carpet in the dining room. Obviously they did not hire a cleaning service after they had family visiting. I asked to have our cleaning fee waived but the owner will not waive it and just said "he was sorry it was dirty and there was poop".

We had a great stay. Great location, spacious and just perfect for us.

Beautiful cabin located in an ideal neighborhood with a backyard that’s perfect for sledding when it snows. The inside of the home was clean and well kept. The two living rooms and kitchen were perfect for a larger group or family looking to stay a few days. I would highly recommend this place for your next getaway.

Fantastic stay!! We are a group of ladies who grew up together and travel to the snow every year with our families, ages 3 to 52 and this cabin fit the bill in every way! The space and bedroom count made it so there was room & beds for all of us, yet space where we could retreat when needed. Awesome family room space with warm fireplace, opens to kitchen, large dining spaces and expansive back deck. Large windows create views from every corner and the option to watch the kids play endlessly in the snow. Backing to the golf course in winter, creates such a private enchanting space and so much privacy, where we could really make great use of the snow! The kids would play, come in and then return back out in the afternoon after getting toasty by the fire. The adults had the choice to join or watch safely from the decks or windows. The cabin is stocked with all you could ever need from spices to linens to toiletries and more. We even donated to the large "snow closet" Jim was an incredible host with excellent communication and the check-in process was seamless. He bent over backwards, evening helping us locate and DELIVER an item left behind. We look forward to creating life long memories again at the beautiful cabin. Thanks again Jim!!

This was the best experience, really big house perfect for a big family close to shopping centers and ski resort enjoyed our stay here.
