We had a great weekend at Lisa’s property! Very well stocked and great location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was easy to use. The view of the lake was great and the kids enjoyed the beach and dock. There are a lot of stairs (my daughter counted 67) so if anyone in a group has trouble with stairs, something to consider, but was just fine for our group. The house was very clean and the space is used efficiently. There is a game room over the garage which my kids did not use very often but is a nice separate space. My kids used the basketball court a ton and there was a nice sidewalk loop down Manhattan that we were able to walk and run on without worrying about cars. We would definitely stay here again - it was hard to leave!

This home was fabulous, everything we wished for, spectacular sunsets, quiet, lake so clear, fishing. Home had everything you could possibly need, and more, so cozy, beds so comfortable. Lisa so attentive, to all your needs and questions, so kind. Would rent again. Memories, priceless.

Everything about this home was perfect. It is a great layout and accommodated our group of 6 perfectly. The lakeshore is pristine as well. The host was very responsive and we would definitely stay again. Michele

We loved this cabin for our family get away and the Crosslake area has so many fun antique shops and restaurants. Location is great. We loved the large, well equipped kitchen, decks, sunroom and dock. There is also a huge family room above the garage. Great dock for our boat and we made a lot of memories teaching the kids how to fish off the dock.

Loved everything about our stay. The cabin was so convenient, cute, and comfy. We loved the property, the views, and all the amenities provided. It was the perfect size for our family of 7. Lisa was very easy to work with and accommodating. We hope to stay again next summer!

The Big Trout and the Whitefish chain of lakes provide plenty water fun. The lake stayed very active our entire stay. The nice dock provided a place to relax, tie up our boat, and something for our daughter to cannonball off of into the lake. The fire pit had plenty of seating for our entire family. There are a lot of stairs from the house to the lake but we managed the trips. The house was very clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable for our family. Some blinds or darker curtains would have helped keep out the early morning sun. The owners were very nice and responsive to our questions. Overall we loved our stay, would recommend it to anyone, and hope to come back again. Thanks, Mike R.

We had a great time on our long weekend getaway. Close to town, Best lake on the chain, the house had anything you could need. Very spacious. Thanks Lisa and Greg!

Friends of owners were at the lake when we arrived & had used cabin. They had to take their personal belongings and remove food from the refrigerator. Soon found the coffee maker dirty, dishwasher full of dishes & dryer full of towels. Under the couches, filth. Cabin was spot cleaned at best. Owner, Lisa, never responded to her friends being at cabin. Not worth the money we paid!

Working with Lisa to plan our trip and throughout our stay was such a gift. She was helpful, available and felt like a friend, which makes being in a rental property all the more cozy and special. The house was charming and the loons on the lake were magical. I highly recommend the Davis house.

We had a wonderful time at this place with our family. It is a fantastic cabin with all the amenities one could want for and the lake was stunning. Greg was fantastic navigating real time through some storm related issues and otherwise it was a peaceful, fun-filled week at the lake. Loved all the Scandinavian touches. 😊�. Good work out on the stairs down to the lake.

The house and it’s setting are beautiful and provided an excellent space for a family visit. It had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Pros: Beautiful cabin/property on the whitefish chain and, in my opinion, the best lake on the chain. Updated and modern. The owner Greg was very responsive to questions via text. There were numerous water toys and things to play with/use in the garage. The beds are really comfortable! Cons: There is a lot of boat traffic that goes by the property with Manhattan Beach Lodge close by. I kept my boat tied off to the dock, but with the traffic there was constant waves and I wasn't comfortable with my boat moving around and banging against the dock. It would be ideal if there was a boat lift there, that could be rented for an extra fee, so you don't have the hassle of taking your boat in and out of the lake everyday. The pontoon was there on a lift, but it wasn't mentioned as an option to use/rent.

Don't hesitate to rent this cabin. It is actually much more like a home than a cabin. The kitchen was well stocked; communication with the owner was smooth and efficient; and the home was in an excellent location. Big Trout Lake is clear and clean with easy access to other lakes on the Whitefish Chain. We had a couple rainy days during our stay. The kids kept busy with the puzzles, Where's Waldo books, and other fun items around the cabin.

We loved the house and the lake! The only negative were the stairs to access the lake. House was beautiful and well furnished! Beds were very very comfortable!

We spent five nights here on the weekend before July 4. Greg, the homeowner, was so positive,helpful and responsive. We used their floats and life jackets, but not the bikes and rest of the stuff in the garage. The girls did go up above the garage to the huge game / theater room a couple times, but we mostly stayed in the indoor / outdoor living area and down at the beach. The home was immaculate and very comfortable for the six of us (four adults and two children). The dock area is very safe area for young children to swim, with a sandy bottom and relatively shallow water. We rented a pontoon boat and safely docked it there. We had a campfire a couple nights by the dock. The steps to the beach were a bit of a hike, but not really a problem for any of us. Crosslake services were nearby. Boat access to all the lakes in the Whitefish chain was very easy. Would definitely recommend the home and stay here again.

My family had a wonderful week. The home was clean and well cared for. The owners thought of every detail to ensure we had a perfect vacation at the lake. The patio table set and grill were virtually brand new so making grilled meals was a breeze! The house has comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms and showers. The kitchen is well stocked with all essentials just in case you forget anything. Appliances are also new and well maintained. We spent the majority of our time on the water but later evenings in the home were accommodating and so comfortable! We’ve been coming to the Whitefish Chain for years and this was by far the nicest property we’ve rented. We hope to return!

Still have fond memories of our 4th of July weekend at this lovely home on Trout Lake. We loved the Scandinavian charm, cleanliness and well stocked kitchen and supplies. We also appreciated the comfortable beds and sauna. The large front deck was enjoyed as was the cozy TV room. The walking trail right outside the door was used every day. We couldn't improve on much except to say we carefully thought to each trip up and down the stairs to the beach. Once there, however, the sandy bottom was a treat. Great location, with quick access to town for supplies - etc. Would definitely stay again!

Your cabin was perfect for our family. The kitchen was great for the Foodies that we are. The boat lift accommodated our 20 ft inboard and was quick and easy to get many ski runs in on the beautiful lake. Lots of stairs helped with a cardio workout. We would love to come back next year!

We spent 4 nights at this property and the Cabin had every amenity that we could ask for. The Cabin is beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean. The location and the lake is breathtaking. You have access to the whole Whitefish chain from this lake without taking your boat out of the water. The ladies enjoyed the local boutique shopping and the family enjoyed the boat ride to the Wharf on the lake for food, beverages, and people watching. The kids could swim right from the dock and is near the public boat launch. Owners of the property were amazing with their quick response time to each of my questions. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to planning our next stay!
