Our stay was great - the unit was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The view is unbeatable and the building was great for our young kids who enjoyed the beach and the pool. We would love to come back and would recommend this unit to anyone!

The TV turned on sometimes but couldn't get anything to watch. The freezer broke so the door only opened 3 inches. Internet was spotty regardless of whether on Apple or PCs wifi would just stop. While there was a breeze to cool things down, never was able to get more than 3 hours straight to sleep each night at a time due to the heat and humidity. Couldn't hear the ocean because we needed to keep the fans on. Probably would have had the same problem if we had AC> Looking forward to a good night's sleep now that I'm back home. We received several very polite reasons, and rationalizations, things didn't work but nothing was fixed. Admittedly none of these things were deal-breakers. Just won't be doing this again.

The view is amazing, sitting on the deck watching the ocean and activities was a great way to pass time in between activities. The beaches were nice to walk daily and watch the turtles. The pool was a great place to cool off. The condo and building is very well taken care of and accommodated our family well.

We had an amazing time at this Kihei condo. Was the perfect size for our family of 5. Really appreciated all of the extras…lots of towels, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers. Plenty of ocean breeze coming through the lanai door that we didn’t mind no a/c. Great location. Close to airport and Wailea. Only about a 40 minute drive to Kaanaapli beaches. Very close to stores and restaurants. Many within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Just returned from our stay in Maui and this property was absolutely perfect for our family. The water views were picture perfect. We saw whales and sea turtles almost everyday. The beach was steps away and relatively shallow so any water activities were easy to do. I highly recommend staying for sunset each night if you can because it is like no other view you will see. You feel like you’re at the edge of the world. We will definitely be back!

The ocean view was awesome! Being able to sit on the balacony with full ocean view was the best. The condo complex felt safe and the beach was not busy at all, felt private. We appreciated the condo having a cooler, beach chairs and floaters.

Location was great - next to a small sandy beach and large ancient fish pond. Lovely protected and safe area for salt water swimming, toddlers splashing, and for observing the giant sea turtles. Easy access to beach (lovely morning walks), and nearby public park with tennis and pickleball courts. The structure was built in 1976. Unit was as described, with many elements updated. Kitchen was well equipped, though a tight space. A few things needed attention - the property manager was responsive and friendly. The layout of the 3 bedrooms was good, though the actual living space felt a bit cramped for 4 adults and 2 teens. The listing was clear that there’s no AC. Would have been a welcome option for a couple of the nights as the unit directly faces the afternoon sun. The building’s small pool was cold (waiting for replacement parts). No hot tub. But the building’s rooftop, with grills and picnic tables, provided an amazing open space for watching sunsets or star gazing. Communication with the owner was best we’ve had with VRBO.

Excellent experience for our family of 4 adults from beginning to end, starting with thoughtful and responsive communication, and finally, going above and beyond in response to a question/request. The condo was as expected from the listing. The views are incredible and the condo was clean and thoughtfully stocked for our weeklong stay. At first we were worried about no air conditioning but that was not a problem at all while we visited- opening the windows/front door (there's a lock on the screen door) created a pleasant breeze. There are also ceiling fans and an electric fan (we didn't need to use) in each room. Thank you for a wonderful stay Gail!

This condo has a awesome location and the layout is great. The view every morning and night is incredible. This is the place to come if u want to see turtles sleeping and swimming. We have stayed in the complex before and chose the 3 bedroom unit because my mom came this time. I think the beds could be updated but otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

Couldn't have loved this place more. Spent every evening on the balcony watching the sunset across the water. Great location close to several beaches, restaurants, and any other point of interest. Nice amenities in the house to get you started on your beach vacation!

This condo was absolutely perfect for my family of 5. It is in a great spot close to so many things. The condo was beautiful and the owners were always quick to respond back with any questions we came up with. Love the turtles in the swimming area just sleeping on the rocks. We stayed Aug. 2-16, 2023. It was a beautiful place and we absolutely loved it. The fires put a little damper on things but we still enjoyed our stay. Anyone wanting to know if the no Air conditioning will be a problem it will not be. The air flow through the whole condo was enough and we are air conditioning kind of people. The temp outside was 90ish degrees every day and we had no problems. It was warm during the day but not unbearable because of the wind blowing in. Things I wish I knew: They have a bunch of beach towels. (would not have brought ours) Didn't need a hairdryer. They have one but didn't need it. there were 4 of us girls with long hair. Beach hair didn't care. Gail and Bob do treat you like family. They checked in on us to make sure we were ok during and after the Lahaina/kula fires. This was our first vrbo and we picked a winner

This apartment 415 was well appointed. Was clean and had a lovely view of ocean and mountains. Close to restaurants, stores , grocery stores.etc. Would highly recommend.

My first reaction when going into the unit was WOW! Everything was wonderful. There was everything we needed and the island agent was very helpful with our rental items for our toddler. Very convenient location. Looking out over the ocean and seeing splendid sunsets every night was awesome as well as listening to the waves at night. Having a pool for the kids was a plus. We all would highly recommend this vacation rental.

The property was close to everything, beach access was easy for the kids. We would come back in the future.

Loved just about everything about our stay here. The spice cabinet was full of items, loads of towels and dish rags, etc. There were just a couple of times I wished there was an air conditioner... I'm glad I was there in mid-spring because the temps were pleasant. Both bedrooms in the front had fabulous views and the lanai was jusy lovely.

Easy check-in. Clean. We'll stocked with essentials. Our family of 6 enjoyed the stay. The 2 bedrooms facing the ocean were the best. The breeze and crashing sounds of the ocean waves. The bedroom facing the front hallway wasn't as pleasant though. The lanai was where we hangout and had most of our family meals.

Well equipped, specious, nice location within the complex. Two of the bedrooms face the ocean, along with living room and lanai.

One of the best VRBO stays we ever had. Everything we needed was available including the beach chairs and cooler.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Menehune Shores! This was our family vacation for the year and included my wife, daughter and two grandparents. We had plenty of room for everyone and everything was well organized. Additional information was provided beforehand as well as in a large 3 ring binder in the condo for info about the property, places to eat and things to do and see. They even provided beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers. The hosts were easy to get a hold of and answered any questions we had right away. The condo is beautiful right on the beach. Nice pool and roof top bbq that was awesome! So many things to do and see in the area. We really enjoyed our trip. The only reason I gave this condo a four star is because there is no AC and this was not noted in the discription of the condo prior to us reserving and paying for the condo. It's was really hot at night and it's November I could not imagine how hot it is during the summer months. This may not be important to some people just thought I would mention it because it was important to me.

We loved our stay, the view from the deck is stunning and the condo well equipped.

We had a wonderful stay at Menehune Shores. The condo was perfect for my family of 4 and my in-laws. The views of the patio are ones you will never forget. We spent our mornings watching the turtles play in the ancient fishing pond and the afternoons watching the sunset. I even swam out to watch the turtles one morning. The unit is mostly updated. We loved the newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. There are a couple of things we would change but overall our experience was great. I would suggest you definitely close the blinds before you leave. It can be hard to cool the place down if you don't. If you are looking for a 3 bedroom in Kihei look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely fabulous. This rental was amazing. The property had everything we needed, the location was central to everywhere we wanted to go, the view was breathtaking whatever hour day or night, the sand beach and ocean within steps of the back door, the sound of the ocean musical, and the tranquility and peace so very relaxing. This apartment was in such a great location. Just down the elevator to the pool, a few steps to the beach, and up the elevator to the roof for stunning sunsets. The accomodations are very basic and nothing fancy about things at all.

This is a beautiful location. It is very easy to get to everything. The condo was perfect for our adult family of 5. Every morning and evening we enjoyed sitting on the patio looking out at the water. The beach is great for an early morning walk. We would suggest pulling the window coverings when you leave for the day. It cuts down on the heat.

It was a very nice unit and it had all the needed amenities. The location was quiet and the grounds were very nice.
