We rented this home during holiday season and it was perfect for our family. Kids hit the slopes while adults worked from home each day with a view of lake and the falling snow. The host was very thoughtful and communicative. House had everything we needed to be comfortable - great TV, games, cooking utensils. Even a tire inflator - which helped when we got a flat tire overnight! We slept great and built a fire every night. Didn’t want to leave!

We stayed for a weekend and it was absolutely stunning.The house was perfect for my family.The view was breathtaking.I would definitely love to go back again.We had a wonderful experience.

The house is beautifully situated in a lake. It was clean and comfortable. The hosts were most responsive and helpful about the area. It’s conveniently located and I recommend it as a wonderful place to stay and a beautiful area to spend some time.

We had a fantastic time at Marion's house. The outdoor deck has amazing lake views and very comfortable chairs to enjoy the space at all times of day. A highlight of the weekend was paddle boarding and swimming in the lake just a few steps away! The rooms are pleasant and the kitchen is very spacious, which made cooking for a group very easy. There is an inside dining table where we had dinners and and an outdoor dining table which we enjoyed using for lunch. The house was very clean and Marion is very easy to communicate with. Wifi worked extremely well. We are already looking forward to another visit!

The house is located on on the water with great views that made us feel outside while inside. The open concept layout worked well for us, and the finishings were modern and up-to-date. Although we spent much of the time on the water using kayaks, paddle boards, or swimming off the dock. The location is close enough to Ludlow to get groceries, take-out, etc. Nice markets in town on the weekend, as well.

We had a wonderful week on the lake. The house is fantastic with upgraded amenities, plenty of space and beautiful views of the lake. The outside has plenty of deck space, a nice patio sitting area closer to the water and a ton of dock and water front to spread out and enjoy the water. looking forward to our next stay.

This is a beautiful home! Right on the water, amazing views of lake rescue and great space for a family ski weekend. We really enjoyed our time at Marion’s home and look forward to visiting again next year.

Home has been remodeled tastefully and the owners were gracious hosts. Very comfortable and thoughtful with little touches like ample firewood, fire starters, gift basket of pancakes and syrup. Location was great to Okemo and view was spectacular.

We booked this property for a winter getaway with family and friends and it was nearly perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. I walked in and the first thing that strikes you is the view. We had a weekend planned with winter activities but I would have been just as happy to sit in the living room with a cup of coffee and look at the view. The only issue we experienced was that the dishwasher had broken prior to our stay but the property had contacted us prior to let us know. Really.... not a big deal. We appreciated the heads up so we could pick up a couple of extra supplies. Marion was very good with communicating with us. As for the property, it exceeded by expectations. Every room was comfortable and it has a perfect open floor plan for people to hand out in the living room and others to be preparing food in the kitchen. We had come with older teens and adults. Everyone's needs and wants were filled. There is an abundance of games and activities for all. I would most definitely book this property again if we were in the area. I can see the appeal of this property for all seasons. Thank you Marion. We had a wonderful time.

Great cozy space to stay when skiing Okemo

Beautiful property and home! And, the location was extremely convenient with a 10 or so minute drive to okemo!

Marion made the check in/out process very easy and was very communicative. The house itself is beautiful and very clean. It is so close to Okemo which was great for us to get to the mountain early. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book it again for our next trip.

This lakeside home can be enjoyed in every season. We rented this home for a ski get away. Highlights are the lakeside views, beautiful kitchen, living room with fireplace, basement entertainment area with ping pong table and game cabinet. The bedrooms are comfortable, there is ample storage space for ski gear and clothing. We were even surprised by some fireworks on the opposite side of the lake (unrelated to rental). Marion is a great host who provides detailed information and is very accommodating. Thanks & I we hope to see you again Retreat on Lake Rescue.

We had three generations stay at Marion's place over the holidays and each age enjoyed it. From proximity of Okemo Skiing, to the airy view while we cooked and opened presents, it was a lovely place to spend the holiday. There was one major house hiccup, and Marion handled it with speed and grace.

Rental home was designed beautifully and inches from the lake with a clear view of Okemo. Host was proactively communicative, provided easy and clear checkin instructions and also responsive. It was a lovely retreat.

We stayed for 4 nights at Marion’s beautiful lake home in October. It was such a wonderfully decorated home that while we had reservations to eat dinner in town, we cancelled because we just wanted to cook in their kitchen and relax on their deck overlooking the lake. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided (minus the items in the description), and my preschooler really enjoyed the board games. I would definitely stay here again. The home was beautiful. So clean and nicely decorated, great kitchen, lots of games, and best of all great views. We found many fun day trips.

We loved our 6 night stay on Lake Rescue. We and our adult kids enjoyed every day by the lake spent on the dock taking advantage of the last days of the summer sun while fishing paddle boarding and canoeing. Spent many nights on extensive deck overlooking the lake just a feet away and then by the fire pit with VT craft beers and cheese! Beautiful Lakefront home with all the essentials. Best kitchen ever! Large downstairs family room which we enjoyed watching the NFL football game one evening. Be sure to visit Buttermilk Falls a short trip from the home!! Marion was very accommodating and made sure our stay was perfect!! We would love to come back as it was so hard to leave!!

I just spent 5 nights at this property with my two sons. It is a perfect spot right on Lake Rescue. We made full use of the location by swimming and kayaking daily. The house has plenty of room and is located near all amenities. The host was also most helpful I'm making sure our stay was thoroughly enjoyable!

This house is amazing and the host was fantastic! She communicated with us to ensure we had everything we needed and was available whenever we had a question. We would love to come back again when the weather is warmer to take advantage of the lake and outdoor amenities of the property.

All the comforts of home. The house was exactly as described and still exceeded our expectations. Breathtaking views of the lake and Okemo mountain that can't be described and need to be seen. We wish we could have stayed longer and that the house held more people. We would return with no hesitation, this could become an annual tradition. Marion is a great communicator and offered many great suggestions on what to do and where to dine.

This was our first time staying here and it’s been our favorite place we’ve rented in Ludlow. Convenient to everything yet tucked away and private. The house was beautiful and updated with plenty of space for everyone. We can’t wait to return again!

We cooked in for the entire visit and were able to navigate the kitchen with the items provided. Marian is wonderful with communication. Super responsive. What we feel should be talked up more about this property is the fact that it is on the East side of the lake. This was so important to us because the West side is a main highway and there is a lot of noise on the road. Marian's house is super quiet and the ducks and slow boats were what you mainly heard. Also, with it being on the East side, you can watch the sunset over Okemo Mountain which is just stunning and made our trip.House was stacked with games and a ping pong table which was a nice surprise for the one rainy day (although paddles need an upgrade). Furniture was a little worn but very comfortable and master bed was comfy. We would absolutely stay at this property again and were sad when we had to depart.Thanks Marian!
