We had a great stay. Location is very good. There is a trolley stop not far from the end of the road. The only issue was the management company sent the wrong code to get in. But a quick phone call and that was resolved.

It was very relaxing going to the beach and then relaxing in the pool. Also don’t have to worry about bring anything. Would highly recommend to stay again.

Our stay at 295 Mango Street FMB was everything I had hoped it would be! The house was spacious but cozy at the same time with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths it was perfect for 4 friends on a long awaited vacation! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cookware one would need. The beds were comfortable and the linens appeared new or close to new. The weather was very hot and the house stayed cool with air conditioning and fans. I never needed to adjust the air. The pool was a very clean and warm but not too warm and there were floats to use. The distance to the beach was better than I expected and the home had all the beach equipment we needed! I would definitely rent this beautiful home again. Tom was also an excellent host. When I reached out with a question he responded within minutes. I would highly recommend this home and I hope to rent it again in the near future!

This was our first trip to Fort Myers Beach and the first time renting thru VRBO and it won’t be our last!! I loved the location of this property and the property owner was amazing!! There was a problem with the air conditioning one day and before I could even reach out, he had already emailed me! My family and I went to the beach that morning and before we even returned he had ensured someone was there and had it fixed before we got back!! He was so great and super friendly! The pictures do not do this place justice! It was so nice and clean and the pool was excellent! He also provided anything you could need for a day at the beach! We are renting from him again next year and can’t wait to go back!!

This was the perfect rental for our family. We all had our own space to hang out and sleep. The pool was a bonus as was the wagon, beach chairs, and umbrellas. The location was amazing! Short walk to a great stretch of FMBeach and a variety of restaurants, coffee, and ice cream shops.

Key lock malfunction

We had a great time during our stay here. We had a slight mixup upon arrival with the door code. I contacted the property manager and they remotely opened it and helped us get the code. It was nice not needing to share a key. Everyone had the code and could come and go as needed. They had everything we needed in the unit and downstairs they even had enough beach chairs and umbrellas for all of us to use. The layout of the property was great for our group of eight. Would definitely stay here again.

Property met all of our needs. My kids enjoyed the pool while adults drank coffee. Short walk to the beach and city square. The wagon and other beach accessories provided were perfect and made our trip easy.

The home was super clean and nice location. We had great neighbors & enjoyed the pool everyday! We enjoyed our stay & loved being just off the road enough but close enough to estero to walk to shops, ice cream or dinner!

My husband was finally able to tear himself away from work for a 10 day vacation! We were across the street from beach access. We walked up and down Estero Blvd, occasionally hopping on the trolley. It was about a 20 minute walk to town square from our house. Which made for a wonderful evening walk-even in the rain. We ate and drank at almost each patio restaurant. Wandered out onto the pier and watched a couple of pelicans swoop in and do some fishing! It was quite the show! Our bears only spent one day NOT in the pool, it was always very warm and there was a company that came and cleaned the pool during our stay. That was nice, even though it wasn’t dirty. We loaded up the wagon supplied for the house, with chairs and sand toys-also at the house for guests use, and walked up the street to the beach and spent an entire afternoon. Heavenly biscuits is A MUST! As well as the Take Away Cafe. Royal scoop gives you waaayy too much, even if you only ask for one school, but who’s going to complain right?! We spent most mornings on the patio eating our breakfast. The house wasn’t a mansion, but it was perfectly located. The owner was SO NICE! And the location could not have been better! It had everything we needed. Instacart delivers, Walmart delivers. It was the best and we are definitely chomping at the bit to stay again next year(:

Needs Upgrades

Overall, this is a lovely home and Tom is easy to communicate with. We’re starting our sixth year traveling full time & have stayed in more than 60 Airbnb's & VRBO's. We have learned it is ALWAYS better to rent from owners than from management companies. Definitely the case this time as well. Pros: A large open space with living room/dining room and kitchen combination. Plenty of seating.Large smart tv with many channels.Location is very convenient to Times Square & beach. The wifi had a tendency to be slow at times & kicked us off but overall was good. Washer & dryer & dishwasher were definite pluses. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking full meals. Cons: The VRBO website listed a 4 digit access code which I made sure we knew so we’d be able to get in. When we arrived in a heavy downpour we found the code didn’t work. Called Tom & he explained the house is managed by a company & they no longer use the key box. He said they should have sent me an email explaining the code to get in. I had no idea that there would be a letter & it had gone to my spam. Not off to a good start. The management company said to let them know early on if we needed a later check out which we did. We were hoping for an early afternoon checkout.Their response to the owner was that they don’t do late checkouts this time of year. Yet they do charge exorbitant rates because of the holiday season.This was by far the most expensive place we’ve stayed in anywhere in the world!That includes Washington DC, Boston, Paris, Rome, London! We knew the charge before we arrived so we have no complaints, but with that charge comes an expectation for a bit of flexibility would have made the last day much nicer since we could have completed the long specific list of check out details on the day of check out. (i.e. wash towels, strip beds, throw away all food; the list goes on and on.) We had read online that the pool is not accessible directly from the house. In order to get to it, you descend 15 steps and walk around to the back of the house.Definitely not pleasant in the rain.When renting directly from owners, there are little niceties like a bottle of wine, some snacks. Refrigerator almost always has condiments, etc. Instead, hotel soaps in the bath, individual packets of dishwasher detergent, totally empty refrigerator.The home is lovely but the management company lacks the personal touches that you get when renting from an individual. Would have been better to rent from Tom!
