We've stayed at several condos in Ekahi over the years and this spot was by far our favorite, as it was on the Quiet side (!) and steps away from the pool/beach. Communication with the hosts was flawless. Well appointed and comfortable home. We are still relishing the fabulous relaxation vacation that we had, in no small part due to this great home base!

5D is an awesome condo. Very close to the beach and pavilion at Ekahi Village. A great value in Wailea. Everything you need is there from the kitchen to the closet with beach chairs, umbrella and even boggie boards. You can hear the waves from the lania. Beautiful view also. The bed is super comfy and the condo is big.

This location is very easy to walk to the beach and 2 pools on the property (the awesome quite closer one isn't even mentioned), BEST place to stay if you like to actually swim IN the waves, and have chairs to watch sunset at night. Great large swimming pavilion, we were able to have several condos worth of family gather and eat there together. The communication with the owner ahead was very comprehensible and very quick responses. WILL stay here again.

We had a great stay - the proximity to the beach and pavilion, as well as the general location in Wailea (close to shops, restaurants) was awesome. It was a breeze to walk just a few minutes to the beach, or to the pool if that's your thing. We enjoyed having access to multiple grills and really enjoyed cooking in the evening, then watching the sunset at the pavilion. The unit itself was spacious for 2 people and exceptionally clean. Bonus - the bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was strong.

We really enjoyed this property! It was clean and comfortable for my family. 5D has a stocked closet with all the beach essentials. We were a very short walk from the main pool and beach and a short walk from the start of the Wailea beach path. My small boys loved the pool! John has been very helpful communicating through email. We would stay here again when visiting Wailea!

The location is absolutely amazing, it really is a 2 minute walk to the pool and beach access. The complex and property are wonderful, we have been to the complex before and will definitely be back. The unit was perfect for our family (2 adults and a 1 year old). The bed was so comfy and we all got such good sleep because of it!

Typing this review just makes me want to get right back to Maui & this condo. The listing & pictures are very representative of the unit, which was perfect for what our family was looking for. Having both the sofa sleeper and the single ottoman was a big hit with our kids...not having to share a sofa bed!! Boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella all got used daily. Overall the condo's in very fine shape, just a few blinds that could use some maintenance/replacement. While you don't have the ocean view from the lanai, in a very easy couple minutes stroll you're at the Pavilion area overlooking the ocean...just a another few steps & on the silky smooth beach sands. The Pavilion/pool area was a huge plus overall for our stay. Great relaxed spot to eat dinner and enjoy the sunset. There were always several other groups of people using the area, but it never felt crowed at all. Great place overall!

Truly paradise with a perfect location, wonderful surroundings and a great condo. Our trip to Maui couldn't have been scripted any better! We will try and return to this condo again in the future.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in 5D! Wailea is such a wonderful area and Ekahi village is very conveniently located to the shops at Wailea for dining and shopping. As described in the rental listing, the location of this unit is terrific, quiet and an easy stroll to the pool/beach. Parking close to the condo was never a problem. This was probably the most well stocked VRBO rental we’ve stayed at, there wasn’t any detail missed. We enjoyed how spacious 5D was and one of the best parts….no bugs! It can happen in tropical locations but our 5 nights were free from creepy crawling things. If you’re considering booking just do it. It’s a great value for what you get! John (an owner) was very good about quick replies to all of our communications.

We love Wailea on Maui and Ekahi Village specifically. Unit 5D is in a quiet spot conveniently located near the main pool, cabana, and beach. Very comfortable and well appointed. Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed at this unit for a week during our March 2023 visit to Maui and highly recommend. It was clean, spacious, and very close to the beautiful beach. John was very communicative / responsive regarding check-in, check-out, and questions we had. There were also unexpected perks like beach chairs, beach towels, and a little cooler which made our beach going a real treat. We will definitely plan to book this unit for a future trip!

My husband and I stayed here Dec 29 , 2022 - Jan 7, 2023 and I can’t recommend this place enough! Unit 5 D at Ekahi Village was in the absolute perfect location in Wailea. For start, this particular unit in this complex, is literally steps from the pool and beach access. Also, it is within walking distance or short 3 minute drive to the Shops at Wailea, which was great when you wanted to do a little shopping and get some dinner. Also, the beach access allows you to go right down to the Walk at Wailea, the paved sidewalk that runs along the beach in front of all of the resorts, which was so cool! Regarding the unit itself, these owners have taken SUCH CARE to have everything that you would need in this condo. For the beach, there are chairs, boogie boards, noodles, coolers, beach towels, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with all dishes, utensils, glasses everything. Also, they had soap for the clothes washer and bathroom body wash, shampoo etc. I’ve found that the little details are so important to make a Vrbo stay 5 star! The unit has good air conditioning systems, which I’m sorry, I totally appreciate and definitely want! The king sized bed was so comfortable and we loved that there are 2 bathrooms in this unit. The communication with John and Mike was so great. They went out of their way to send recommendations and tips and just overall, made this process so easy. I’ve done a lot of VRBOs and it is so much better if the owner is directly taking care of everything about a rental. In short, I would not hesitate to choose this place and I will definitely stay here again when on Maui. I’m glad I chose Unit 5D in Ekahi Village and to stay with this owner team!

My family of 5 stayed at this unit over Christmas break and it was perfect! The Ekahi complex has gorgeous gardens, property, pool and beach and the unit was exactly as described and pictured. They even had beach gear, snorkeling gear and two extra foldout beds all of which we and the kids loved. We hope to be back soon!

This is our third time staying at this condo, we absolutely love it. Clean, comfortable, and well equipped . Location to pool and beach can’t be beat. Hope to stay again soon.

My husband and I had everything we needed to make this a relaxing enjoyable stay. We've stayed at Ekahi a couple of times, and it was nice to be a bit closer to the beach where we spent most of our time. This complex is a gem!

Unit was lovely, we stayed with our 10 month old and it was all very baby friendly. Listing is very accurate. Check in and out was a breeze. Highly recommend this place!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at John and Mike’s condo. The unit is well stocked with everything you need for a vacation on Maui. The complex grounds are absolutely beautifully kept. This unit is a very short walk to the beach and pool area near the beach. It is also a very short drive to other great snorkeling beaches in the Wailea area. The unit would be perfect also for a family of 4 as it has 2 full baths. Communication with the owners was easy and check in was as well. Go wherever you want to on the island to visit but Wailea by far appears to be the best place to stay unless you just love fighting for parking and crowds which are all a much bigger issue at the northern beaches. I wish we had scheduled a few more days to enjoy the unit but that gives us a reason to return.

The condo is wonderful! The Ekahi Village complex is in a perfect location on Wailea and the 5D condo unit is in a very convenient spot within the complex. It is such a peaceful and calm area. This unit is within easy walking distance to the Wailea Beach Path, Shops at Wailea, and many great beaches and resorts. It’s a short walk from the condo to Keawakapu Beach. It was so nice to have the beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, towels, and more provided for our use at the condo. It made our beach days that much more enjoyable. The beach is not crowded and there is a lot of space to throw a football or frisbee, make sand castles, and play in the ocean. Everything in the condo feels very clean. The master bedroom is huge and there was plenty of space for all our luggage. The king bed is very comfortable. It is nice to have 2 bathrooms in the unit. The pullout beds (sofa and ottoman) worked well for our 11 and 13 year old during our week-long stay. Air conditioning is available for use, but the tradewinds were such during our time that we never turned it on and enjoyed sleeping with the windows open every night. The main pool area is very pleasant and the pool water is warm. It is a nice area to sit and relax. There are plenty of tables under the pavilion by the pool where families and friends can play games, eat meals, and just have a nice time hanging out. We can’t wait to return to Wailea Ekahi 5D. It was such a nice place to spend our time and a perfect family vacation spot to hang out, relax, and enjoy Maui.

This rental was perfect for our family of 4, which includes 2 teens. The pull out couch and another small pull out both worked well together in the living room, no problem, and we felt we had plenty of space overall. the 2 bathrooms are great also. the place is really well equiped, including loads of things for snorkeling and chilling on the beach. We used the snorkles and the beach umbrella, cooler, and chairs a lot. and the snorkle noodles! the location is also excellent, as it is so close to the beach. the beach itself is beautiful and perfect. it was not very busy when we were there. there are spots to snorkle. its warm and super safe waters, and it is relaxed and public; meaning it does not feel like its taken over by a huge resort, which was really cool. great long walks in both directions too. great location and comfortable/easy place. thank you John!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time here! It has everything you could ever need and more. The location was excellent. The kitchen had all the supplies and more that we needed. The sheets on the main bed were the softest ever! The owners are great and reply quickly to any questions you may have! We had a wonderful experience here and would stay here again!!

Ekhai condo location is great and convenient to beach and pool. It was clean and there were beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys available if needed. Layout was nice and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay in Paradise! Owners were very responsive and easy to contact. Thank you for this opportunity!
