We were so amazed and surprised with the layout and size of this wonderful lake home. We felt incredibly fortunate this family home was available for us to experience all the fun and beauty of Lake Wissota over Labor Day Weekend. What a treat! Perfect for every age. Kids loved the toys to play with in the family room and sat with sidewalk chalk creating art in the driveway. And the labradors loved frolicking in the huge fenced-in yard. And us adults had a great time grilling out and chatting all night out at the table. We did a nice campfire with s’mores too! It was just perfect. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great property, great location. Plenty of room for our group of seven. We’ll stocked and clean with great views of and access to Lake Wissota. Erika was very responsive and flexible to our schedule. Close to Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire. Couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable stay for a family wedding.

Perfect setting for our group of 11. Everyone in our party agreed that the pictures do not do this place justice. Very clean, well-stocked lake home with plenty of room for everyone to relax. Huge yard out front for land activities and plenty of room at the dock for boats and swimming.

This was the perfect place for a long weekend with extended family - plenty of room inside and out to spread out and relax. The lake is beautiful and the setting was quiet and peaceful. The house is comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. We found everything we needed. We will be back!

I think that renters should be made aware of the stairs that must be used to get to the lake. The stairs weren't a problem for our group, but certainly could be if someone has mobility issues.

What a fantastic place to stay! This home is a gem and our family is so lucky to be able to get together and enjoy each other’s company in this beautiful lake home. The property owners are wonderful to work with and we are looking forward to coming back.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Pros: Very specious and clean! We loved the bonfire and the view. The kitchen was very specious and functional! The playroom was great to have and the living room for lots of people and was very cozy! The owner was very responsive and attentive! Will definitely book again!!

The host was friendly and easily accessible for questions, there were maintenance issues both inside and out. Property definitely in need of updating and improved cleaning and organization in cupboards. Pillows and mattresses in need of replacing. Upstairs toilet not always working even when following owners suggestion - the insides of it need replacement. I would rate this a C- and not recommend to friends.

Great cabin with lots of room inside and out. We were a multi-generation group (but no one under 30) having a family celebration. We picked the location because we had folks coming from MSP and Madison, as well as flying in from CA and TX. We also appreciated having all those bedrooms and beds. Everything was as advertised. We were too early in the season to really enjoy the lake, but we made use of the fire pit one night to make s'mores. We did quite a lot of cooking and found the kitchen well stocked. There is also a grocery store very close by. All in all a great place!

We enjoy the location and accommodation of this home. The host is super. This is our 2nd time and we plan to return. Highly recommend!

Plenty of beds and very clean had a party of 12 and everyone was able to fit with plenty of room to spare. Close to town and right on the lake.

Great space for a fall week-end with young teens. And we took a hike through Wissota State Park and also walked around the river-scape and downtown Eau Claire.

This is a lovely property located directly on Lake Wissota. There is plenty of room for everyone! The kitchen is beautiful and well-equipped with everything you need. Even though we did not use it, the gameroom is wonderful. Something for everyone , no matter the age. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the place to stay. Quiet with abundant wildlife I highly recommend it !

Perfect location to use as a base for daily bike rides. The lake, dock, and raft were great for after ride activities and fire pit great for evening wind down. House stocked with everything to make it a homey stay.

Our daughter got married Labor Day weekend at the Northern Wisconsin Fairgrounds. Rather than renting multiple hotel rooms, we found Wissota Wind Down. The five bedrooms sold us on the property. The entire property is clean and well stocked. Bedrooms are comfortable and there are fans available for those who like white noise at night. The views are fantastic from windows on the lakeside. There's lawn for games and relaxing. My husband did a little fishing off the dock. Blue green algae was abundant near the shore so no dip in the lake for us. I think that's just an end of summer phenomenon. I whole heartedly endorse Wissota Wind Down for your Chippewa Falls visit. Just be aware that a vehicle is essential. There are not restaurants/attractions within walking distance. Take a hike at Wissota state park. Visit Leinenkugel's. Or attend a wedding!

We (two families - four adults; five kids) loved our stay. We liked the dock for easy fishing (caught a few big ones!), boating, and swimming access. We also appreciated a kitchen table big enough for all of us to sit at for meals and games. And, enough dishes/pots/utensils for a large group. We also liked the game room for darts and foosball, and the big living room for charades. A great place for a group our size!

This property had everything we needed for our family vacation. They allowed our dogs too. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.

We had such an amazing time, we recommend staying here. The kids thoroughly enjoyed swimming on the beach and playing on the raft. It was easy to dock the boat and easily accessible to the house.

What a beautiful home on the lake. The amenities were perfect and the house was so clean. The fenced in yard made it safe for all our littles! The fire pit was a great way to end a fantastic day. The host was great to communicate with. I wish everyone the same experience as we had, great memories.

0verall size and amenities were more than adequate for our family. Each family was able to have their own bedroom. Game room was great for all the grandchildren. Only challenge for us were the steps leading to the dock. VERY STEEP, but the water was only a little over 3' at the dock and to the floating raft. We also rented a pontoon. Fun was had by all.

This home was perfect for our family getaway this summer. The home was spacious, clean, super comfortable and to make it even better, it was pet friendly. The host was great, and communication was nice and easy when needed. We were there around the 4th of July, and it was awesome to sit on the dock and watch fireworks for miles across the lake. The sunsets here were also incredible. The home was stocked full of board games for rainy days and had a pile of movies as well. Considering the size of the lake, we decided to rent a pontoon boat one of the days from Lake Wissota Pontoon Rentals (https://lakewissotapontoonrental.com/), and those folks were also fantastic. This was an awesome way to spend one of the days at this home. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this to whomever rents this home after us! If we plan to meet our family again down in this area, I would certainly rent this home again. It was a great little piece of midwestern paradise.

This property was a perfect size for our family of nine plus a dog. We spent a lot of time in the water and rented a pontoon one day. The large kitchen table allowed for lots of card/board games and great conversations at night. A suggestion would be to have a little more space for nonperishable food. One side of a cupboard was not enough. I agree with a previous comment that the outside needed some cleaning/repairs and the grass was very long! Overall we had a wonderful time and the communication with Erika was great.

The property has a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the lake. It's quite private and we liked that. Since it rained, and one day it was over 90, we spent a lot of time in the house. It's large enough that 8 of us could spread out and either enjoy each other, or take a nap, or play a game.

House had plenty of room for us to all spread out if we wanted to be alone, and the kitchen area with a huge table was a great place for us all to be together. From the kitchen dining are it was a wonderful view of the Lake. We enjoyed the kayaks as well and kiddos played down by the water. Erika the host was great! Communication was wonderful between us. You won’t regret staying here there is plenty of room. Lots of toys for kids, movies, even life jackets and floating devices for the lake.

This year we invited both my wife's and my parents for an extended getaway to relax, visit and socialize. The cabin is a nice location for all families and adequately accommodates all including senior parents. A good time was had by all and vowed to do again health permitted.

The house provided a wonderful place for our family to gather and spend time together. The house provided everything we needed and Erika was very responsive to my outreaches.
