The home was well supplied with cooking gear and very comfortable setting. Plumbing was very good. Location was excellent, very secluded and town is quiet at night. Would love to return to this home.

We visit Avila at least once a year with our family and this location is a block from the sand, ocean, restaurants! Fully stocked, spacious with all the amenities and secured parking. We really enjoyed our stay!

Easy check in, great place.

My husband and I brought our daughter for her 17th birthday. The king bed was very comfortable, but bring your own blankets if you’re planning on using the pull out sofa as there was only sheets . The cook in kitchen was great and laundry was very helpful

Loved our stay in Avila Beach. The condo is spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, and had everything we needed and then-some. We'd definitely come back, and hopefully use the kitchen more. The location is fantastic, you can see the ocean fro the balcony, and is less than a block from the shops. There was a loud party going on next door but we couldn't hear it from inside. I hope we can come back. It was a bit pricey with the taxes, cleaning and fees, that is the only downside. Property management company was easy to work with, the keyless entry and parking were perfect.

This flat is very nicely updated, has a great kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, and comfortable bed, and even two balconies with a sitting area outside one of them. Amazing location a block away from the beach, and right behind the Avila grocery- which does however generate noise at night.

The couch was stained and torn. When I rent a place for over 2000 dollars a week, I expect the furniture to be in good condition. The sofa sleeper in the torn couch was also damaged. It was completely bottomed out and not super stable which also lent to it not being super comfortable. I get it, its a sleeper sofa, but if you advertise it as part of the rental, it should be in good working order. General cleanliness was good, but the deck was a bit dirty, there were someones old gross sandals under the bed and there was mold in the washing machine, which we wanted to use, but couldn't due to this. Additionally, the master screen door kept coming off the rails everytime we tried to slide it. Again these are relatively minor gripes, but for the price, they should be addressed. Overall, generally satisfied with the stay.

Great bed, very roomy kitchen, and a wonderful location right off the Main Street (Front) in Avila Beach.

We were visiting our son at Cal Poly and it was the perfect getaway. A beautiful 15 minute drive to campus and downtown SLO without the “hotel room” feel. Condo sits in a small gated community adjacent to the main boardwalk in Avila with easy beach access through a walkway next to the Avila Market. Close to everything. The large exterior deck had an outdoor fireplace with four big comfy chairs, a separate barbecue area and a peek a boo view of the bay. Interior space is open concept, upgraded kitchen with concrete counters and all of the amenities. An open floor plan with high ceilings and large fans provided for a light, airy living space. The layout is great!! Master bedroom was in perfect harmony with the beach theme and Pottery barn linens made for cozy nights. They were all great looking and the mattress was comfortable too. I even tried to find the patterned duvet to purchase for myself! Master bath was well designed and the tile is beautifully integrated into the beach theme. There is also a 1/2 bath for guests. Everything is well maintained. The parking was easy, convenient and secure. We brought our own but I think it would be nice to provide guests with beach chairs and towels. The couch and chair in living room were a nice fabric but well worn. Overall it was a perfect weekend and the weather did not disappoint! Highly recommend!

The furnishings are comfortable and nice. The only drawbacks have been the parking, the stairs into the unit, the cleanliness of the floors and the check in/our process. The parking spot is very small and this visit, neighbors had blocked the designated spot. With 2 small kids, it was very frustrating to have to go find someone to come and move their car. When we parked, if there was a car next to us, we could not open the doors enough to get the kids out of their carseats. There are steep concrete stairs to get up to the unit- also a challenge with small kids, strollers and all of our gear. It's do-able, but just takes some planning. This trip, the towels were not great quality and the floors were very dirty. We have an infant who is crawling, and after a few minutes exploring the place, his knees and hands were literally black. The floors clearly has not been mopped for some time, and this made me concerned for the cleanliness of the other parts of the condo- all the places where my kids might touch or climb. This was incredibly disappointing, especially since the management company charges a $50 cleaning fee. When added to the rental fee and the booking fee, it becomes fairly expensive to stay here and for the cost, I would expect it to be clean. It's also a hassle to drive down into Pismo to pick up keys- especially during high traffic times. If you are coming from the north, you have to drive about 10 minutes south, navigate traffic on the freeway and in town, and then drive back up north and into Avila. It would be nice to be able to pick up keys in Avila beach itself. You also have to do the same thing upon checking out. The 25 or so extra minutes adds up on a long car ride with small kids. I would suggest keeping all of these extra time consuming pieces in mind when looking at options and factoring that in to the cost.

The 1 1/2 baths was very practical and allowed plenty of space for everyone to get ready. No fighting over use of the bathroom, even with teenage girls! The master bed and the hide-a-bed were both very comfortable. The parking space under the unit was also very convenient and we could keep our beach chairs and boogie boards in the car rather than lugging them up to the unit. Great expansive deck space! Although I prefer Pismo for what it has to offer we tried Avila this time, and the Boathouse was offered to us at a discount. Very high quality lodging, every thing you need is provided. You will not be disappointed. I had an issue with the water heater and CVR took care of it immediately. Great management company. I have used CVR since a bad experience with their competition in 2015 and would not think of using any other vacation rental provider. Awesome people that manage quality rentals.

We really enjoyed our stay while visiting our son during his Spring Break at Cuesta College. Very comfortable bed, great kitchen and nicely remolded bathroom. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The location in the middle of everything we love in Avila Beach is hard to beat. Everything was clean and well functioning and we were pleasantly surprised with the outdoor area, furniture and fire table…perfect for our family to gather around!

In the end, we found this to be a very comfortable condominium. The plusses include the location. It's just a block off of the main street in Avila Beach which is adjacent to the water. There are fun restaurants right outside your door, practically. Also, there are no neighbors above or below you...or on any sides, either. It's quite private though it's surrounded by other condos. It's rather large with an impressive kitchen, nice sized bedroom and living room area, and 1.5 bathrooms, which is very convenient. The kitchen is really great, though you have to bring just about everything food-wise.... basics like salt and pepper were absent. There are a few things to be aware of. There is no view at all except for the walls of other units and a sliver of a view of a hill that you can see from the bedroom. Of course, that doesn't matter at night or when you're out and about. There are nice patios, but we couldn't enjoy them because of the rain. Also, and importantly, there is no thermostat, furnace, or duct work for air exchange. The heat comes from two gas fireplaces, one in the living room and one oddly placed in the wall of the bedroom. Once we figured out how to use them, we began to thaw out. There should have been instructions and a note so we'd stop looking for the thermostat. It was very cold when we arrived. They heat the spaces well, though they aren't regulated by thermostat. The rental company responded right away to my calls and texts, and they were super friendly. However, they didn't seem to be very familiar with the unit since it's just back in the rental pool, apparently. I don't think I'd stay here again in the winter/cold weather because of the heating/ventilation situation. However, for the price during warmer months, this is a very nice unit.
