Couldn’t ask for anything better. Very clean. Beautiful home. Short walk to the beach. Definitely would stay here again.

This home was perfect for our trip, which included kids ranging from 2 to 10. We had a great time there and found the property well equipped with working appliances and comfortable beds. The walk to the beach was just as advertised and we would recommend this property for anyone interested in visiting St. George Island, especially if you are coordinating with a family camping at the State Park.

I have no doubt you will love your stay at this beautiful home! Convenient to all the island has to offer!

It doesn’t get much better than this property! This is our second time staying here, and we will definitely be back again. It’s super clean and it has everything you could ever need for a beach vacation! The owners have done an excellent job!

We had a great stay at this property! Nice new'ish home. The house was in great shape. Kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed. We spent alot of time on the front porch looking out over the ocean, reading and just enjoying each other's company. Beautiful beach is short walk and easily accessible. It was a holiday week, but it did not feel crowded at all, which is what we were hoping for. Nice outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. Bike riding is good on St. George with dedicated path. State park at end of island where we stayed was beautiful! There is not an abundance of good restaurants on the island. Our best meals were in Apalachicola and Port St. Joe. Overall though, a great stay and we were grateful to have found this property and experience St. George!

St. George Island is the perfect place if You like quiet, beautiful, beaches on a island not crowded with over development. Fools Gold is a beautiful home situated right across the road from the beach access. It’s literally a two min walk to a beautiful quite stretch of beach. The home is very nicely decorated, and very well maintained. Surrounded by woods and very private. Front porch is awesome for morning coffee and enjoying the sunrise while looking over the torques waters of the Gulf. One mile away is a beautiful Florida State park. My wife Says she could live in that house. The owners has always been very helpful and communicates well. Second time staying at Fools Gold and looking forward to going back.

Our stay at Fools Gold was just right. The house is comfortable, very well equipped and nicely located on the island. Sarah, our host, was very friendly and easy to work with. We are looking forward to renting again next year!

Amazing stay on SGI! Fools Gold was perfect for our family of 6. So clean and well appointed with everything we needed (even included a high chair and pack n play). Only a 2 minute walk to the beach. Best location on the island. So private but easy to get everywhere. Communication with Sarah was great! She brought a new coffee maker over when the one there didn’t work. Very responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend this home and can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation here! The house was super clean & very well stocked. We enjoyed our mornings & evenings out on the porch. I would definitely recommend this house to friends & family!

The house seemed brand new and was nicely decorated. The location is great, just a short walk across the street to an amazing beach. We were able to watch a sea turtle lay her eggs, and a different nest of eggs hatch and make their way to the beach. It was an awesome week!

We had a great stay! Superb house! Very comfortable & super clean! We would definitely stay again. There was easy access to everything on the island. A few suggestions… 1. Coffee pot made great coffee, but took 30-40 minutes to brew 2. Porch is beautiful but would be spectacular if screened… mosquitoes are bad. I get it, it’s Florida but we used 3 cans of bug spray 3. TVs need updated. Overall Beautiful Home! Five Star House all the way!!!

This home on the east end was nice and relaxing. It was well maintained and there was plenty of room for our group of 6.

My children flew in from out of state to help me celebrate and this was the perfect stop. Open and roomy, close to the beach.

Great location. Easy beach access. The property/house is beautiful. We had everything we needed/wanted & more. This booking exceeded my expectations……. We all loved it.

This property is everything the description outlines and more! The house was immaculate and well cared for with a bright, new feel. The kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room were well stocked with necessary items (our only recommendation is to provide more hand towels in the bathrooms and kitchen). Comfortable beds. We loved how the house is tucked away” in the trees” with privacy just across the road from the beach, and the view of the ocean from the relaxing porch is stunning! Plenty of car parking and storage space underneath the house . We appreciated the well lit parking area and house flood lights for the outdoor areas. It’s an easy less than 5 min walk to your own “private-like” beach via a neighborhood community designated gate/boardwalk. There are steps though if that is a concern for anyone. We will definitely be staying in this great, quiet East End property again!

Lovely cottage; quiet & peaceful escape. Convenient to dining $ beach. Would strongly suggest an upgrade to MBR bed mattress and sheets, however.

I can’t say enough how enjoyable this trip was for my daughter and I. The house was VERY clean and easy access to the beach. Sarah is top notch in our books!

This is a great house for a family! Very clean and kid friendly with everything we needed including high chair, potty seat, kitchen items and pack-n-play…this is all a rare find for a family with toddlers. This house made our vacation very low stress and relaxing.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sarah's place. Everything was the best - spotless home with great decor, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. We loved sitting on front porch looking out at the Gulf Perfect for a 2 generation household - 3 adults and 2 under 3. Would definitely stay here again.

We had the most wonderful time staying here. It's a beautiful home with everything you need and more. They have beach toys and chairs, a kayak, games, a fully stocked kitchen - even better than ours at home lol. The house is very clean, very comfortable beds, no bugs (that's huge for a coastal property!). We all loved the outside shower. There is an easy access to the beach. It's very quiet, peaceful, private. The beach itself feels like a private getaway. There are great restaurants minutes away, as well as a piggly wiggly and a local grocery store right on the island. Plus, I can't say enough great things about the owners of Fool's Gold. They are fabulous. So hospitable, very friendly, quick to respond, easy to work with. We had a question for them, and even though it was Easter weekend, they went above and beyond the call of duty to answer it for us. They also took the time to tell us all about the area and great places to see and visit. We absolutely would stay here again and highly recommend Fool's Gold.

This property is special - its walkable distance to the beach (even for little legs), private feeling surrounded by trees, welcoming and tasteful interior, clean upon arrival with resources to keep it clean during our stay (broom, vacuum, laundry facilities), roomy kitchen and family gathering area, porch area overlooking the gulf, outdoor shower, plenty of beach gear, and cement parking pad below. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and would return!

What a lovely space for a getaway! The home was perfect for a girls’ beach trip with lots of space to relax. We loved the porch to watch the sunrise over the water. The beach access was easy, and during our stay we had lots of private, quiet beach time. Sarah was accommodating and responsive. I did wish we had some cleaning supplies to have cleaned a bit better with, but we enjoyed our time very much. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Fool’s Gold. The beach house was beautifully decorated and very clean. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the balcony. The beach was an easy walk from the house. A great vacation!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at "Fools Gold." First of all, communication with the owner was fast and efficient! My questions were always answered quickly and in a friendly tone. The locarion was perfect for us; private and surrounded by trees on 3 sides! Its also right on the main riad so acxess was great. There were never any noise issues, except for the crashing waves! You can see the ocean from the deck and getting to the beach was an easy walk. The house was perfectly cleaned, well organized, and comfortable. We had everything we needed. The multiple hosing-off-sand spigots were great and the outdoor shower worked great too. We loved using the kayak too. Parking was easy and well lit under the house. Our car was well protected. The decor was great; simple, well done, and tasteful. Our teenage boys loved the house too and had plenty of room. Wifi was great as well. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again. We've stayed in a few vacation homes and this experience was the best. Thank you!

We took our college aged son and girlfriend to SGI for the first time for their college spring break. The weather unfortunately did not turn out well, but the home was perfect. It was easy to get to, perfect layout, well stocked, and very clean. If you want a quiet beach getaway, this is it. Property manager very easy to get in touch with. We loved the home!

Fools Gold is a wonderful property. The property owner was very easy to work with, helpful and informative. The house is awesome. Sits on a beautiful secluded lot with easy beach access. St. George Island is exactly what my wife and I enjoy. Quiet, mostly residential homes with a few restaurants. The beach is gorgeous. We are already planning a return trip. And will definitely stay at Fools Gold again. It was a perfect week.

Everything is extremely accurate in the listing. House is new and convenient to the beach. First time to Saint George for us and the house, location and accommodations made it a great trip. Would highly recommend.
