Property met all our expectations. Very well equipped. The driveway is steep aas are many villas on St John. Daunting the first time you approach, but totally navigable with either a 4 wheel or AWD vehicle.

We loved our stay at this property. We’ve rented all over the globe, and this was a family favorite. The house has an amazing layout. We have three teens (two girls, one boy) and the bedrooms were spacious and well situated. The views and the breeze up there are amazing. The pool is small but private and lovely. Kitchen is incredibly well stocked. Coolers and beach chairs are high quality. It’s a fantastic location to explore the entire island from. We much preferred it over Cruz Bay…so peaceful and quiet! We loved Francis Bay & Maho beaches; both super close. The smoothie/breakfast place 5 min down the road is great too! Be prepared for a steep driveway, but it’s worth it…once you arrive you feel like you are almost in a treehouse. For that matter, if you’re new to St John, it’s important to know it’s VERY hilly. We loved every minute, but you just want to be prepared for steep terrain and you absolutely NEED a Jeep! The management company was easy to deal with and listened to our concerns (internet was down the entire time we were there, we made it work but if you need it, make sure you get confirmation it’ll work for you). We would definitely like to return. Highly recommend!

The location is awesome . , Sapphire, Sunrise is centrally located on the island. We knew we wanted to spend most days at Majo and this location was awesome. The layout was perfect for our family of six and we enjoyed the villa tremendously. If I had to complain, the only complaint would be the size of the television. We would definitely stay at the Sapphire Sunrise again.

A lot of things to really like. Great chairs, coolers and equipment if you're going to the beach. Great kitchenware if you're planning on eating in. I'd say it's closer to a 20 minute drive to Cruz Bay and a 12 minute drive to Coral Bay, but a location that you can do either realistically. In any event, one of the easier houses to get to on St. John. Probably the first time we've not had a power outage, whether good luck or the backup battery, I don't know. Description and pictures are accurate, but a couple of things. The pool is smaller than you'd anticipate and the layout means you either look at the view or look at the pool, not both. The sole TV is tiny. As the description says, bring your premium channel user ID and password if you want to watch. We could never figure how to log in to CBS, NBC etc to watch network sports.

It’s hard to put anything bad when you are in St John’s because it’s a paradise. The house is very nice with great views. The best part is it is centrally located to all the beaches and restaurants on all sides of the island. The one downside is the beds are extremely hard and the pillows are terrible. I know everyone likes different types of mattresses but one could easily provide some variety on the beds for pillows. It impacted are trip for all of the adults as sleeping was rough. I ended up using a sweatshirt for a pillow the last couple nights to get some sleep. Again a great place to stay but would hope owners consider it a little as it would drastically improve the experience.

Amazing stay on the mountain.

Photos of Sapphire Sunrise don't do justice to this property: It is brighter and lighter and more expansive in person. This was our first trip to St. John, and though we knew we wanted to be close to the national park and beaches, we debated about various locations. Sapphire Sunrise on Bordeaux Mountain turned out to be a great choice with wonderful breezes and outstanding views. The villa has everything you need to enjoy the island -- beach chairs, beach towels, coolers -- along with a well stocked kitchen, very clean and comfortable bedrooms, lots of covered patio space, and a very comfortable living area with adequate seating for our family of seven adults. We loved that the villa was so spacious while also feeling like we were all in the same general area (three bedrooms open up right off of the large living area). It's important to realize that the fourth bedroom and bath have a separate entrance on the lower floor and are quite removed from the rest of the living area. The fourth bedroom's bathroom that must be accessed from outdoors, which might be important to some people. Overall, this was an excellent rental property from which to enjoy St. John, and JP was a very helpful, responsive and accommodating property managers during our stay. We had a problem with the oven not working and we planned to cook most of our meals in. First, JP delivered a toaster oven to the villa and then had the large oven replaced. Both of these moves were late in our stay, but we appreciated the effort to rectify the only hiccup in an otherwise great experience. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our time at Sapphire Sunrise. The house is fantastic with plenty of room. We loved the huge porch and spent most of our time when at home relaxing there. One of my favorite places to stay!

We had an amazing time at this mountain top retreat. After spending our days exploring the beaches of St. John, it was such a treat to return to this beautiful home. The view and the breeze from the porch was to die for. It really was spectacular! The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of beach towels, comfortable beds! What more could you ask for! We easily drove to town and the all beaches! We seriously had the best vacation ever!!

This villa very comfortable for us and was as reflected in pictures. Very well maintained through Miller properties. The villa felt secluded but only a 10 minute drive to Francis and Maho. Would definitely recommend

The property was amazing! Three very clean and spacious suites accessed from the inside. Laundry. Beautiful well appointed kitchen. Lovely view. Great outdoor furniture. Comfortable beds. There was a gift food basket for us the first night. The property manager was responsive. We will be attempting to stay here in the future!

A spectacularly comfortable and well-decorated home, spacious, gorgeous views. Great space for 3-4 couples to hang out, cook together and relax. All rental cars taken when we tried to rent 6 weeks before our arrival. Turned out to be the right thing as some of us found the drive to the house very challenging. What worked for us was engaging a taxi service for the week who got us to and from the beaches. We had a great week.

We so enjoyed staying in Sapphire Sunrise. The house is spacious, very peaceful, clean, and well stocked. The views are beautiful beyond description. Our kids loved the pool. The management team was great. Be aware that the roads and driveway are very steep so not ideal for the timid driver.

It was special from the moment we arrived to the day we left. Family of 5 ( all adults ). Spacious rooms with breathtaking views. Kitchen had all the proper amenities for wonderful breakfast’s and dinners and has a beautiful interior design. The coolers and chairs were an added bonus and made trips to all the beaches that much easier. Take advantage of Land Lubbers grocery delivery! There is nothing negative about this property, Lastly… James Miller was so helpful with helpful advice to make our trip so memorable. We will be back.

Our family, 2 adults and 2 children (ages 14 and 10) spent 8 nights in this beautiful home. Yes arriving there is a journey, fly to St. Thomas, taxi to ferry, ferry to St. John and pick up rental jeep but so very worth it. 1. You will need a jeep, do not even think about any other type of car. 2. There is one pharmacy on the island and if traveling with kids pack: first aid kit and any children's medication (tylenol and advil). 3. Pack Dramamine. The only time I gotten car sick was the Road to Hana in Maui but many of the roads here are narrow and curvy. Just bring it with to have on hand. 4. Beaches were AMAZING!!! We enjoyed many different ones but our favorites were Trunk, Honeymoon and Cinnamon. 5. I suggest bringing your own snorkeling gear because not only is it cleaner but not all beaches offer rentals. Definitely check out Salt Pond Bay to see the turtles. 6. Utilize the coolers at this property. We took the two smaller ones every day--one was filled with ice and water, the other had sandwiches and deli salads. Not all beaches have food options and those that do, it's not very good. Save your $$ and spend it on beach cocktails. 7. For efficiency at a price, we utilized Landlubber Logistics to have groceries delivered in advance of our arrival. This was money very well spent. The house is fantastic, everyone had their own room and bathroom. I was able to do laundry which you need after sunblock and sand. The pool is great which the kids loved being able to splash around. The outside lounge and terrace area was great to have breakfast and evening cocktails. There is nothing I would change about this home, the accomodations and views are first rate.

The Upper Carolina home was wonderful for our week long stay on St. John. We have been coming to St. John for 25 years so we're very familiar with the island. Bordeaux is a lovely spot...about 20 minutes from Cruz Bay and 15 from Coral Bay. The breeze is amazing at this home so you're never hot outside on the beautiful covered porch and pool area! The home was very well appointed and the management is extremely attentive. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and for helping us create more amazing memories on our favorite little island with our family! We can't wait to come back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sapphire Sunrise. They were stocked with everything we needed to make our stay great! We had chairs, coolers, and large towels for the beach. Even though we arrived later in the evening, the check- in procedure wasn’t a problem. The listing did say the pool was heated. It was not. The bedroom downstairs is secluded from the rest of the house. There is a separate entrance. It wasn’t a problem for us but do want to mention that. Overall, we were very impressed with our accommodations!

The home was lovely and very well stocked with everything we needed! Was quite a distance to town, with cabs being hard to come by we would definitely recommend having a vehicle!

This rental was everything we were hoping for and more! The pictures truly don’t do it justice. From the moment we booked we had a wonderful experience working with James. He was thorough, professional and very helpful. He assisted us with many helpful recommendations. On our day of travel he reached out to confirm our scheduled flight, car and ferry. He had an employee, who would be meeting us off the car ferry and driving ahead us to the property. The house is at the top of the mountain overlooking Coral Bay, the drive is rough and a Jeep or other 4x4 vehicle is necessary. The guided drive was such a nice touch, as we arrived after dark. We arrived to a lovely basket of snacks and deli salads that hit the spot after a long day of travel, such a thoughtful touch! A group of four single friends we decided to book a last minute trip to USVI. The layout is truly ideal for groups! The placement of the bedrooms gives everyone privacy. In addition each bedroom has its on en suite bathroom. The downstairs 4th bedroom has its own entrance and is not accessible from the house, which worked just fine for our group. The open style living with the pocket doors opening onto the deck was truly the highlight of our stay. You feel like you are floating in the trees and clouds overlooking Coral Bay. The breeze being high up was lovely, we opened every window and took full advantage. I don’t think we used a air conditioner once. If you are looking for luxurious views and privacy this is your place! I had the pleasure of enjoying the upstairs bedroom with the balcony. I spent a good hour there each morning and evening enjoying the view and breeze. If only every day started and ended that way! We are a group that loves to cook together. With Covid we planned on eating out minimally and doing most of our cooking at the house. The kitchen did not disappoint! It was stocked with everything we could need and perfect for cooking as a group. The pool is not large, but the perfect size for enjoy a dip any time of day. The positioning being perfect to capture the afternoon sun! There was truly nothing we were left needing or wanting during our stay. The house came fully stocked. I can not say enough good things about this property and it’s management. We will certainly be returning and recommending to our friends.

Just a short drive to Cruz Bay and to Coral Bay gave us the opportunity to cover the whole island. The house was amazing, with a full kitchen with every thing you could need. Thank you Saphire Sunrise for an amazing week!’ 5 stars!!

Loved staying at Sapphire Sunrise. The house is located mid island, about 8 minutes to Maho and Francis Bay. Perfect for those who love Coral Bay, but like having access to Cruz Bay as well. Got stuck here an extra 2 days due to a tropical storm and the property manager worked with us which was great. My grandson loved the pool and I loved the views. The house is perfect for 3 couples. We didn’t use the downstairs room or bathroom. They have separate entrances. The large island was great for cooking. Some nights we ate outside and others we sat around the dinner table. The only night we watched tv was during the storm. The house has a smart tv so the kids logged into their Netflix. Phone service was shotty at best but the WiFi worked great. They thought of everything with this house so pack light and take advantage of the washer/dryer and all the beach gear. I will definitely be back here, best rental I’ve had so far!

Excellent views and a nice quiet location. Easy ride to Coral Bay and Maho Beach area. FYI-The bathroom for the queen bedroom is accessible by going outside into another room. Overall a very nice place.

We had a great stay at this beautiful home, it was perfect for the seven of us. James was very responsive prior to the vacation, and had someone meet us at our car rental to escort us to the house - it would have been pretty challenging to find it on our own. We were definitely wowed when we saw it the first time in person. The house is a trek up the mountain but well worth it for the views. The driveway is very steep so you definitely need a jeep or sturdy car. It is in a great location though, about 10 minutes to Coral Bay and 25 to Cruz Bay. We arrived to some snacks in the refrigerator which was a nice touch. The house was very well decorated, clean and had a beautiful deck overlooking the amazing mountains and Sea. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need including small coolers to bring to the beach. We had some family dinners at the round table which was perfect for us. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. The A/C worked great as did the fans. We had two adults in the downstairs room which you should know has a totally separate entrance to the house. That bathroom has amazing views. It worked out perfectly for us. We loved arriving back to the house after a long day at the beaches. It really added to our having a great vacation. I would definitely stay here again!

This is the 5th time we have been to St John, it’s like coming home. This is the 2nd time we have stayed on Bordeaux Mountain. Sapphire Sunrise was a great villa, had everything we needed and it was perfect for the 3 couples. Plenty of space to relax and hangout. The views were great of the BVI’s. We had zero issues while there, and James checked in with me via text message making sure all was ok. We would highly recommend this home.

Great floor plan! We did not use the 4th bedroom downstairs, but the main house is perfect with Amazing views from every room!!

Beautiful retreat for family and/or friends. Comfortable beds, plenty of seating and spectacular views with gentle breezes and the sound of nature. Love this island, it's beaches and the people who live there. James was gracious and attentive . We'll be back soon.

New renovations were nicely done. When our normal house encountered electrical issues, we were able to book this just in time. It was a great stay!

Great floor plan for a family with younger children. Great location...secluded, but close to main road and situated almost equidistant from Coral Bay, the north shore beaches, and Cruz Bay. This was our 3rd time staying in a house managed by James M. Miller Property Management. They have always been in great order.
