We did a good bit of looking before we chose this home for a weekend trip with my grandma. She is in her 80s and the youngest of our crew is 9. EVERY ONE of us absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Literally no issues, and the layout of the home made it so we could all enjoy each others company, cook together, eat on the porch, etc. My grandma uses a wheelchair except for very short walking distances, and she had no problem navigating the lower floor after assistance entering the few stairs into the home. There was not a ramp entry to my knowledge, but once she was in, it was no trouble for her to get herself around the spacious living areas. We brought a few kayaks and the kids lived down at the water for the duration, until it was dark, and even then they only moved up to the fire pit. Everything was clean and well-stocked. We really appreciated a bunk-style room for a bunch of kids, as well as several private rooms for grownups and other bed options as well. The hosts have been easy to communicate with and were very kind to accommodate a later check out when I needed to drive over an hour away early on checkout morning to provide nursing care to an elderly family member and then return to pick up my family. We really appreciated that flexibility as it meant I didn’t need to get all my kids up and out the door at the crack of dawn. This is truly a space all ages can enjoy and our whole big family said we would like to come back!

The house is amazing, very clean and extremely family friendly. We had a great, fun weekend with our children and grandchildren! Host was available for questions and responded quickly! Everything perfect l!

We loved staying here. Perfect size and location. Tons of fun games for yard or inside. The porch was amazing and the lake so beautiful. We had everything we needed!

The property was lovely. The home was very open with several bedrooms to accomodate our 13 member family. There were tons of things for the children and adults to do- of course, the lake, the beach area, games ranging from video to ping pong to giant connect boards. We all loved the fire pit area. It was perfect for us and we hope to come back in the future. Owners were very good at communicating with us so everything went smoothly with check in and check out. Again, we all loved the place!

My husband rented this house for our first family get together with our grown children and a few of the grandchildren. The house is huge, the property is beautiful. There's a little beach area for swimming and a nice boat dock, but you have to drive a few miles to the boat ramp to put your boat in the water. We had more than enough room for 10 adults and 4 children. The kitchen has the perfect layout and is stocked with silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, drinking glasses and coffee cups. There were 2 types of coffee makers, a toaster oven, range, microwave, 2 refrigerators, a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. Plenty of games and tv's so the kids didn't get bored. I loved the layout of the house. Especially everyone having their own bathroom. The owners have been so nice and welcoming. They even took the time to contact us and make sure everything went well for us. I would suggest you bring your own bath towels, unless you want to do laundry. Also, check with the homeowner to see if the outdoor grill has been fixed. The last renters apparently left it filthy and the burners were clogged. So we couldn't use the grill. Which wasn't a huge problem as we brought a rack to cook over the fire. We would definitely stay here again and hope to soon.

We stayed here for my son's wedding. It was a perfect space for our family. Very spacious with an extremely well-equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The 4 full bathrooms were a plus. And we were able to bring our dogs! We took advantage of the big back porch and enjoyed mornings overlooking the lake. Definitely recommend.

6 of us stayed over the weekend. Lots of games, lots of rooms, and close to our marina. We even pretended we were at the beach with the sandy cove. We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I spend a week at this wonderful lake home. the property was described as being luxurious and new and it did not disappoint. The host was very accommodating and readily available for any and all questions we had. We plan to return to the area and hope this home is available when we come back. Absolutely a wonderful vacation for us!!!!

Perfect in every way. Perfect lake house for small children. The kids swam in the beach everyday. The owner was wonderful and very responsive. Couldn’t have asked for a better week.

My wife and I, with some periodic visits by friends, spent three straight weeks in late July and early August, after making our reservation in September ‘22. We were clearly disappointed with our total very large investment. Looking backwards, I went and re-read the property description. It was accurate, except for the first sentence, “Our house is luxurious and new”. That is quite an over, if not incorrect, statement. A nice piece of land, absolutely! A 7-year-old house, definitely. But, no real upkeep, dirty and mostly sparse, worn-out furniture, thin towels and linens, mold on outdoor furniture and walls, indoor walls clearly needing painting and overall, a property yearning for refurbishing and repair, especially at the very high in-season price we were paying. I’d strongly suggest a re-write of the opening description sentence that starts with, “Our house is “large, very basic and well worn”. This would be a much better portrayal of the property.

The pictures do not do this property justice! The view of the lake from the house is amazing. We had more than enough space/activities for everyone. Us “old” folks enjoyed the arcade game Brought back lots of childhood memories. My husband enjoyed the dock the most…it was his spot. If we ever have to come that way again, we’ll definitely book Sandy Cove.

Wonderful family trip for spring break! House was great for three families with 2 under 2 and bonus that it was pet friendly, so we could really all be together. Great kitchen for group cooking, quiet neighborhood with great dock to sit on. You’re less than 10 minutes from several dining options and Publix for cooking at the house. Wonderful weekend at a lovely home!

Sandy Cove Lake House was perfect for our family gathering. Plenty of space for nine adults and 2 children. House is conveniently located to grocery store and restaurants. Beautiful lake view from huge covered porch and large windows inside home. Home has updated furnishings, comfortable beds and plenty of linens and towels. Kitchen is large and has everything you need for preparing meals. Sandy Cove exceeded our expectations, and we hope to visit again soon.

This property was perfect for a reunion of long-time friends for a long weekend. It has a large kitchen and great room that accommodated everyone. The back porch is large enough for a big group to enjoy the evening overlooking the lake. There is a functional fire pit that we were able to use as well.

Would definitely book this house again. Clean, quiet area and perfect accommodations for families.. Plenty of amenities provided by owners to entertain all ages. As we packed to leave, kids said let’s do this next year and stay in this house.

My family of 10 adults and 2 children enjoyed a lovely weekend at Sandy Cove. We were there to celebrate the marriage of our nephew/cousin. The property was amazing! The hosts, Steve and Tammy, were very gracious and friendly. We had plenty of room to spread out and we all LOVED the great room and kitchen overlooking the lake! Thanks for a wonderful place to stay, we all had a great time!

Nice location! Loved the dock

We had a wonderful vacation at Sandy Cove. The house is amazing and the pictures do not do it Justice. So many games and activities for every age group. We had adults, teenagers, and school aged children with us. The dock was easy to get in and out of and the kids enjoyed the sandy beach. Everything we needed we had access to. Definitely would stay here again! Steve, the owner was attentive and helpful.

Our stay was absolutely perfect, thanks to Steve and his hospitality! The house was spotless, well-stocked and in mint condition! The location was perfect for our needs, and close to everything at Lake Oconee!

This property is beyond amazing! Traveling for a wedding weekend, we all met at this oasis with our children and loved ones for a wedding weekend. The house instantly set the tone of love, warmth and laughter. The boys (young and old) enjoyed football on the back lawn- a memory that each will cherish forever. The access to the white sand beach and the dock were a huge hit for the kids. The kitchen is fully stocked with large pots and pans, two coffee makers, tons of utensils and Longaberger coffee cups (my favorite!). Beds were so comfortable and the plantation shutters allowed each guest room it’s own unique entry of natural light. The neighborhood is quiet except for the laughter that dances across the water. On our last day, I received a phone call my brother had died and I cannot tell you how seeing the sunrise on the lake instantly gave me a sense of peace on his behalf. This home is amazing and I hope that everyone has the wonderful memory making experiences we had.

We enjoyed the location of this property as it was convenient for exploring the lake and the dock worked well for securing our boat. The many windows allowed for relaxing views and lots of natural light. The weather was not the best so we had limited time on the dock and the mosquitoes were out in full force so we did not use the covered porch. The layout of the home is very open so it was quite loud/echoes in the family room space with talking, ping pong, games and tv. The home is showing signs of wear and needs a little attention, especially the cabinetry. Overall, the home provided an opportunity for togetherness and allowed our pups to be with us! The host was very responsive with feedback for our questions which was most appreciated.

This property has a great amount of space and has a wonderful backyard for the family. Our family and dog stayed here for a long weekend and brought a boat along. The only thing I’d say that could’ve been better is the cleanliness of the home. It could use a deep clean but other than that everything was great. The owners are very responsive and willing to help with anything. I would stay here again.

From securing the property, talking with the owners and enjoying the week - it was great! The location was fantastic and great for the kiddos and adults!
