I just realized that I didn’t leave a review for this lovely home that we stayed at last year. We have stayed at many vrbo’s and this one was a standout. You can see from the photos how unique the location and decor is but when you are there the charm is just over the top. The attention to detail is really something. Within 10 minutes of arriving, we were playfully trying on the western costumes they have hanging up. They have little tags all over the house with helpful information, tidbits and props. We have stayed in homes where there were rules everywhere. It wasn’t like that at all. The information was really helpful. We watched my husbands all time favorite movie “Outlaw Josey Wales” and my daughter and I found out it’s a great movie. We were inspired to visit the set in Kanab. We loved the outdoor space too. The garden of oddities was so cool. Besides the house being great, Kanab is the perfect central home base. Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, sand dunes, atv ride and so much more all in an easy day trip. Cute shops and surprisingly good restaurants in town. For us, fall was the perfect weather. A little chill in the morning and nice during the day. There is a second “garage” apartment on site. Another couple checked in the day before we left. It was fine but we were happy that we had the property to ourselves for most of the week. If you are considering Kanab, don’t hesitate to book this place.

Was exactly what we wanted. Kanab is a very cool town. Lots of effort & cool ideas to make the Western Star just that, "A Star"

This house was so fun to stay in. It was very clean and supplied well with everything we needed and then some. The decor was so great with lots of things to look at. There were a lot of great movies to choose from. Centrally located for all the places we wanted to go. We loved the notes left throughout the house with explanations and things we needed to know. There was information on things to do and places to eat. We loved this house and would for sure stay again and we will recommend it to others. Thanks for the fun place to stay!

Very well appointed home. The location is great, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Very nicely decorated and the property manager is a great communicator.

Not only is the location ideal and close to so many other options but the home was fabulous. The host are great and there are so many little extras in the house. Not once did we say "Oh I wish they had this." The house had everything we needed and then some. We are already discussing our next visit to Kanab and staying here.

Such a cute comfortable place with everything yuc could possibly want . Very clean, well stocked and organized. The owner was very easy to communicate with and I had the pleasure of meeting them during my visit. They were very kind and helpful and really go out of their way to make you feel at home . The owners have obviously taken great care and loads of creativity regarding the design and execution of this fun house. the exterior fence looks like an old town, the costumes available for fun photo shoots and the most creative guest manual ever seen. Don't miss this.

Great location for us to visit Grand canyon( North Rim), Bryce and Great Chamber & peekaboo slot canyon! Thanks to fabulous info from VRBO owner, it was a wonderful trip. She provides lots of suggestions and All were perfect. The house is exactly as seen in photos and the "tags" with all info about house were a treat. NO guess work at all. Super front porch-spent hours out there...drinking morning coffee, playing cards and reading ! Kitchen supplies were plentiful and the aluminum foil was a life saver! Thanks for sharing your home!

We loved the unique Hollywood style of the property and all of the old western movies and movie memorabilia! It really let us immerse in the history of the town and have some fun. The owners put a lot of thought and detail into every room.

We had a small miscommunication regarding the initial check-in procedure and getting access to the place, but Sherene was communicative immediately and helped solve the issue within 10 minutes and we were able to check earlier than we thought. The house was sooo cute and exactly as advertised - we loved loved the movie decor and all the details inside. Wow so much character!! My parents stayed up late one night to watch one of the black and white western movies they had from their movie collection. They had binders filled with information and brochures of everything to do in Utah and AZ - it was a great source in helping us plan our stay there. The beds were comfy the house was clean, the area was right next to the main street and the porch was adorable and comfy to relax in after a long day of touring and activites. We have rented a lot on VRBO I saw this place for my birthday and thought how fun. My husband who is not so fun lol a great man but has a hard time relaxing when he entered he was so taken back by the detail and the cleanliness. He is also a builder/welder and saw the love that was in this place. Such a great stay and a wonderful area. We traveled and did so much and had a place to come back to that was so comfortable, relaxing. Communication with the owners were great! If the highest rating was a ten we would go above and say a 15! Thank you for such a wonderful getaway!

Besides clean and comfortable, the bungalow was adorable! The theme, decor and special touches made our stay absolutely delightful. Our hostess was in touch right from our arrival to make sure we were comfortable and was available anytime for questions. Parting gifts, as well, to remember our stay.

This was the best laid out place for 2 adult couples with 2 master bedrooms and private baths. It has a very interesting and informative decorative theme dedicated to the western movies and tv series filmed in the area. We brought our our UTV's and Road bikes and were able to access Hog Canyon off road trails from here without loading/hauling. Zion, Cedar Breaks, and Bryce canyon, Grand canyon north Rim, Lake Powell, all less then 2 hrs. away! This made for great motorcycling. We had the pleasure of meeting John and Shereen/owners who are great down to earth and very helpfull with off roading advice. The neighbors were very friendly and theRestaurants were all great when we did not feel like cooking in. When we did everything we needed was there including the gas grill. We LOVED it!!!

This property is so well put together and creatively prepared that I can’t think of one thing the owners didn’t think of first. A clean property with a well stocked kitchen, a cozy little living room, plenty of TV options, nice bathrooms, cozy beds with plenty of pillows, warm quilts for cool nights, laundry, a relaxing yard and plenty of peace & quiet for a good night’s sleep. Since we were two girls staying in the property with a rental property sign in front, we considered safety. However, we quickly got comfortable and thought no more about it. The owners are real friendly, responsive and truly care about the quality of your stay. . Kanab is a neat little town with interesting Hollywood history that is surrounded by some of THE most beautiful American parks in the country. We adventured all around the area and returned each afternoon to the hometown coziness. This property provided the most pleasant place to recharge our batteries.... and our phones (lol). We loved it.

The Western Star is in a perfect location for day trips out to Zion, Bryce, Coral Sand Dunes, Lake Powell, Horse Shoe Bend, and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. The Western Star ⭐️ does shine out in the neighborhood. Living space was adequate for 4 adults, but we bumped into each other a little in the hallway to bedrooms. The attention to detail in decor displays the creativity, and labor of love of property owners. We were fortunate to spend some time with the owners, they are a delightful couple, and wealth of information of the area. If you get a chance to meet them and have time ask them to tell you a “STORY”.

What a unique and enjoyable property! Everything was exactly as indicated on VRBO. Exceptionally clean and inviting....we were discussing when we'd return after just a few hours! The owners have put a lot of thought into all the details that make this property feel like home away from home. We'd definitely recommend, and look forward to returning.

Perfect place in every way. It was very clean, and well taken care of. It is centrally located to several national and state parks. The house had so much character. It is well stocked with all the necessities. A lot of effort went into making this place stand out. So many things to look at. Bathrooms were amazing. There were many personal touches, and ideas of things to see and do. Absolutely an excellent place to stay. Don’t miss out!

Could not have asked for a better place to stay. We met the sweet home owners whose attention to detail was amazing. So much to see and do in Kanab. We plan on a return trip some day.

Cute place. Perfect for me and my husband. We each had our own suites! It was well stocked and having laundry was a plus! It was in the upper 90's so the covered porch was great especially at night with the twinkle lights. Within walking distance to downtown. Would stay again. Hosts were great!

After having several vacations cancelled due to COVID we needed to get away for a change of scenery and a bit of fun. We, along with two other friends on our “quarenteam” decided we felt safe renting a home a few hours from our homes. We chose this darling place and are so glad we did!!! From the moment we opened the door and felt the refreshing air conditioning (it was 105 degrees outside) we knew we’d made a good choice. We brought all our own food and were thrilled to find the kitchen truly was fully equipped and the gas grill was ready. Flipped a coin for the bedrooms because both were comfortable and had adjoining private baths. We pursued through the many provided brochures and maps and planned out our stay. Each of the 3 days at the house we took short road trips to the parks, prepared delicious meals at night and played cards on the cool patio until the stars came out. It was peaceful, relaxing and just what we needed! Thank you for providing this little oasis for our much needed time to refresh and carry on.

The Western Star Bungalow is so charming—and the perfect location within Kanab. The hosts of the property thought of everything—including recommendations, music, charging cords, etc. Their thoughtfulness is sprinkled throughout the house. We will definitely stay here again!

This is the first VRBO we ever rented and it took my breath away!!! You could feel the loving care & enjoyment poured into it with your first step on the property! It's very unique, fun, creative and detailed oriented with all your comfort in mind. We actually got to meet the owners who were very personable and showed us the attached, 1 bedroom studio also which is quite a conversation piece in itself! One evening we joined them in the beautiful yard which has a wooden fence made as if its an old western town! They made you feel like we had known each other forever and were very helpful giving advice on day trips and even helped us arrange an inexpensive private tour to the slot canyon nearby which was so amazing!! Another night we chose to watch one of the many old western DVDs provided. Loved it all and can't say enough to justify as you must be here in person to fully appreciate!! Staying here was one of the highlights of our 2 week vacation and it was perfect for us - 2 mid life married couples who have been lifetime friends! Any of us would absolutely love to stay here again!!

My son and I recently spent time staying at the beautiful Western Star Bungalow. We had planned a great vacation, hiking in all of the beautiful nearby national parks. Kanab afforded us the perfect central location for our day trips to Zion, Bryce, and the northern rim of the Grand Canyon. Sherene and John have outdone themselves with the level of detail in making their bungalow so warm and cozy. It seemed like everyday I found yet another tiny detail that had previously gone unnoticed. We felt so comfortable staying here and have shared pictures of the house with friends since returning. Several have told me that if they head out to Utah, they would love staying in this incredibly house. Having two master suites worked out great since I was vacationing with my grown son. Sherene, thanks for keeping in touch during the week and thanks for all of your little notes. We also appreciated that you had a cooler and backpack we could use on our hikes. We truly enjoyed the house, the town and all the wonderful things to do in the area. Sharene and John have gone to great lengths to create and warm, wonderful home in Kanab and we didn't want to leave!! From the way the home was decorated, to the attention to detail throughout the home and the comfy hammock under the trees to relax in after a long day made this stay wonderful. Great place to stay and we look forward to visiting again!!

Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and charming from ceiling to floor with numerous thoughtful conveniences such as central and bedside chargers, walking sticks, a notebook with activity recommendations from previous guests and super soft towels. Wish we had stayed longer.
