Beautiful cabin in a nice quiet location but close to attractions. Our host stayed in contact with us during our stay to make sure all our needs were met. They even sent a person who snowplows their driveway to check on us when we received more snow than originally forecast. A perfect cabin, a great host all helped to make this stay a perfect family Christmas vacation.

There were 5 adults and one rambunctious 3 1/2 y/o grandson for the week. The cabin was spacious enough for privacy when needed and comfy for everyone to enjoy each other’s company. The area was absolutely beautiful and we had the snow we wanted. :))). I highly recommend this cabin and will be returning.

This log cabin home was extremely clean, comfortable and convenient to sites in the area. We were able to take in the Grand Canyon, Bearizona, the Meteor Crater and more. The house was the epitome of tranquility. The canopy of stars we saw each night was amazing. We highly recommend this home for anyone visiting the area

When I was scrolling through listings looking for THE place to take my kiddos for a weekend getaway, the common phrase I kept seeing regarding this cabin was “words cannot express”. That repeated phrase was the reason I did ultimately select this amazing cabin. I was not disappointed and neither will you be. Every single positive word and review you will read about this cabin is spot on accurate so I’m not going to repeat those sentiments. I am going to leave this message instead…. If YOU are the one who spends YOUR whole vacation from beginning to end ensuring that everyone else has a great time and feels well taken care of typically leaving yourself to utter the famous words “I need a vacation from my vacation” then this place is meant for YOU! From the moment you walk in to the last few lingering seconds before you depart, YOU will feel taken care of. This cabin is not just well stocked as most vacation rentals are, this cabin feels like going home to a trusted family member after a rough day knowing that they will magically have what you need. It’s a soul replenishing experience to not have to worry about “did I bring this, did I bring that?”. Your family will be safe. Your family will stay healthy. Your family will make great memories. All will be right with the world for the days and nights you’re there. If it’s not, Jim has my complete confidence that he will make it right. My kids and I can’t wait to go back!

Our experience at Sahalie was more than our family of 5 could ever hope for. We booked with the intent of getting away from the scorching Valley, seeing Bearizona, and the Grand Canyon. Of course we got to do all of those things, hurt our best times were spent together as a family in the Miller’s cabin. Our kids saw the Milky Way for the first time while sitting outside around the fire pit. We played board games that we found in the kid’s closet and had an absolute ball. Jim and Jani have created the loveliest environment for families to bond and appreciate the relaxed atmosphere of northern Arizona. It was just close enough to both Williams and Flagstaff to get to groceries and restaurants, and we also loved the little general store that served food at the corner off of the main road. Spending time drinking coffee on the back deck in the morning while my kids played in the yard was a highlight of the trip. It’s so hard to keep kids entertained in the summer in Phoenix and giving them acres to run felt like the best gift we could give them. The gift of minimal “no’s” and the gift of unstructured playtime. Jim was in constant contact with us making sure we got to the cabin safely, offering suggestions and answering questions. Never intrusive and always kind and hospitable. We’ve rented so many VRBOs all over the country and this is truly our favorite. We hope to be back many more times and we are so grateful to Jim and Jani for choosing to make their getaway available to others. We recommend Sahalie 10/10!

This entire experience was absolutely perfect. From First contact with the host, Jim, through check out. The cabin is perfect in every sense the property is perfect the location is perfect if you want to see all that the high Arizona desert has to offer this is the place!! Waking up to a family of elk on the front lawn was icing to an already awesome cake!!!

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It is absolutely beautiful and well equipped cabin. Located in a great area with easy access to the Grand Canyon, Williams, and Flagstaff. The owner, Jim, was very communicative and checked in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We will certainly be back.

Beautiful log cabin in the woods with easy access to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff (mountain biking), Sedona (mountain biking, hiking, offroading) or just getting away from it all and enjoying the solitude of the cabin. The 'cabin' has all the amenities of modern life with incredibly comfortable bedrooms and a gorgeous living space looking out into nature. The picture dont quite do it justice. Fantastic hosts!

We had a fabulous time at this property. We are very active vacationers and really enjoyed our down time at the cabin. We visited the Meteor crater, went to the Grand Canyon Skywalk, visited the South Rim, hiked the Red Butte trail in the Kaibab National Forest and spent a morning + off roading. The cabin is super well appointed with wifi and very comfortable. The view of the mountain in the back was great and the moon and the stars at night were awesome. We loved it!

After beginning our vacation at another property that did not live up to our expectations, to say the least, Sahalie cabin was just what we needed. We loved sitting by the wood-burning fire during the chilly nights and we were able to have a few really yummy home-cooked meals using the very well-stocked kitchen. Only draw back was the wifi; it was via satellite and pretty slow, but in exchange we were afforded the beauties of the fragrant pines, near-perfect views of the stars at night, and dazzling sunrises over frosted meadows. Jim was very understanding when we needed to extend our stay, as well. It was a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely love to come again.

We had the best stay at Sahalie! The location could not have been better for our day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. We had considered staying in Flagstaff but were happy we choose this more picturesque setting. The property has an exclusive estate feel with woods, trails, and space to enjoy. The night sky was awe inspiring. We enjoyed the view of the snow capped mountains from the living room. Jim and Jani were the most gracious and helpful hosts. We felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. The property was immaculate and exceeded out expectations. We had a great time visiting the near by Grand Canyon Deer Farm, Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course, and Bearizona! It was a joy to come back to the property in the evenings for family meals, games and to catch the sun set. The kitchen is large and easy to navigate. The property was abundantly stocked which eliminated any inconveniences that one might expect when travelling. Jim and Jani really set the bar high. We were very impressed with all the details that were in place to make Sahalie a perfect home away from home. We really did not want to leave. Thank you Jim and Jani for your hospitality!
