This was our 4th year traveling to Beech for our family’s annual ski trip. This was our favorite location thus far as we were able to walk right out to the new beginner’s slope or take a short walk to one of the other slopes. We felt at home in the cozy house, had everything we needed and our questions were answered swiftly before and during our stay. Everyone had their own space at the house but we made great memories as a family in the open floor plan. Thanks again for hosting us!

The house is spacious, very comfortable and has everything you need. The host is very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Fantastic location next to the slopes and a short walk to Fred’s. We will definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect place for our short Labor Day weekend getaway to Beech Mountain! We very much enjoyed our stay here and were happy that we got to bring our pups along. The back deck is wonderful for grilling out, drinking coffee, and stargazing. The front fenced in area made it easy to let the pups out for bathroom breaks. Be aware that there are stairs to get down to the cabin, so this might not be the best location for anyone who has trouble walking or climbing stairs. Also, one of our small (and troublemaking) dogs was able to slip through the fence rails and did escape a couple times. There wasn’t really anywhere for her to go, but just make sure you keep an eye on any smaller dogs. 😅

Comfortable, tidy, pet friendly cabin on Beech Mountain. Well appointed kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Large hot tub on spacious deck. Sizable fenced off area for a dog run.

We had a great experience

Great house, lots of space, access to mountain was perfect! We’ve stayed at other ski-in/out properties that required walking up or down the mountain with gear to access but this place was a short level walk down the road to the path and right on the mountain. We were easily able to take lift 1 or lift 4 up to return to the property - with a 3 year old and a 6 year old the short walk was perfect! We will definitely look to stay again on future trips to Beech!

The place was great for a group because there are separate areas for people to sleep and a nice central area for people to gather. The walk to the slopes is easy - about 100 steps and you can be skiing. The hill to the firepit is steep and could use steps or a rail, but it was awesome to hang out and spend time with family and friends - bring dry firewood and enjoy. The owner was very responsive and even sent a text concerned for our group because of the expected snow that weekend. Not knowing the impact of snow on the area, I felt that was above and beyond.

Loved the layout of the house, hot tub and fenced yard. Beautiful fire place, decks, super cute decor! Short walk to the slopes. We walked to the taproom for karaoke and music. Betty was super nice and great communication provided. Kitchen has everything we needed.

This place is a great spot for a winter trip on the mountain. The walk to the slope was fairly short, and it out you almost in the middle of a blue run so it feels like a true ski in/out. The cabin interior is very nice and clean. The layout of the cabin suited our party very well. Open living room and the kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of room to cook meals. Hot tub was very nice after a full day on the mountain. Location to the town was also great. We were able to swap out rentals at white wolf lodge very quickly and not lose but 15 min of mountain time. We had a great time on our trip and this cabin facilitated that. 10/10

We had a wonderful time. Great set-up for multiple families. The house is in the perfect spot for skiing. It was the kids first time and they loved it. Would absolutely come back!

The best! Location is amazing. Ski, stop by cabin rest-eat, ski back out. Very clean cabin & equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. Love that they allow our mini schnauzers to enjoy the stay too. Will definitely return ‼️

parking tight, so prepare for 2 cars, lots of stairs, wonderful property for skiing in and out in close to slopes and if you are a pet lover , this house is for you!

Pedals, Paws and Skis is a cozy cabin located on Beech Mountain. This is our second time staying here for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Betty is quick to respond with any questions or concerns you may have. Love the cabin because of the fenced front yard for our dog. Very convenient on those chilly mornings when you are not quite ready to change out of pj’s to walk the dog. The cabin is clean and cozy and has everything you need. We were able to make a birthday cake for my daughter and enjoy cooking up a Thanksgiving meal.

We enjoyed our family gathering on Beech Mountain! Clean house, pet friendly and great location. Betty was very accommodating and the house had everything we needed for our stay! Look forward to next time!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is very convenient to Fred’s, trails, restaurants and putt putt! Saw lots of deer too. The house has everything you need including a gas grill. We also enjoyed the game table and hot tub. Always appreciate a dog friendly house too!

Terrific location, plenty of room, comfy beds…and a hot tub! We hope we’re lucky enough to book this house again. We didn’t have dogs with us and didn’t notice any traces of them.

2nd year in a row at this wonderful slopeside house! Lots of room, great kitchen and new TV. Hunkered down for a day as it was too windy to ski and enjoyed the gas fire, tv and amenities. Gated front yard was great for dogs as well. Probably the best of the 5 rentals we've tried at Beech mountain.

We spent Christmas in the cabin with our two grown boys. The location was fabulous, as they were able to walk right onto the slope from the cabin…..it allowed them to stop in for lunch or just take a break. So great!!The cabin is fantastic! Let me first start with how wonderful Betty was to communicate with. She is so responsive and made everything easy. As I said, we were there over Christmas and she had the cabin decorated for the holidays including lights outside on the railings. We were so grateful for her effort in making sure it was truly a holiday themed week in their cabin. The cabin itself is fabulous! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. In other rentals, I’ve brought my own pans because the pans aren’t nice to cook with….not the case here. It was a pleasure to cook in this kitchen. All of the bathrooms have been updated and are great also. Since there are 3 full baths, everyone had their own bathroom, which they appreciate as adults. The fenced area for the dogs was FABULOUS. Betty had crates already at the cabin, so we didn’t have to bring ours. It is very clear that they love dogs, as we’ve never stayed anywhere where it was truly set up for them to be at home. Everything Beech is super close by and Banner Elk is just 10 minutes up the road. We would absolutely recommend staying in this cabin, as we would gladly stay there again. Betty, thank you for being such an incredible host and making guests feel so at home. Our family appreciated it greatly. :)

Have already booked it again for next year! Everyone in our family of 8 enjoyed everything about this house and ask me to book this property for next year's annual ski trip. Very short walk to slopes which was great. Ski, come in and rest and out to ski more. House is very nice, the kitchen had everything needed. All appliances were new or almost new and worked great. Washer/Dryer also new and came in handy often. Hot tub was clean and perfect at the end of the day. Grill on deck with propane was also great. Not many restaurants in the area to feed hungry skiers so this was really a nice feature. The owner is also extremely helpful and goes out of her way to make sure your visit is enjoyable. Look no future, this is a great place to stay.!

Although the snow wasn’t great for skiing, the house was perfect for us to spend some relaxing down time with our family… including our dogs. The house was well equipped and room for all spread out or all to be together! We enjoyed the hot tub too!

Had a wonderful time, plenty of room for our family and 2 dogs. Very comfortable, beautiful views from the deck. Enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace. Would stay again!!!
