A great place to stay! Hosts were a text or phone call away and went out of their way to make sure I had a nice stay. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful 3 nights at this perfect studio. It's comfortable and well-furnished, and a great "home base" for exploring this rugged and gorgeous town. Our 8-year-old daughter thought the fold-out couch was the best bed ever. Sandy and Peter are great hosts. Hope to return sometime soon, and would stay here again.

We enjoyed our two-night stay. The location was super convenient - an easy 0.4 mile walk to to downtown. Apt is small but well-appointed/equipped, updated and very clean. Quite neighborhood and building.

The owners provide excellent information ahead of time and are readily available but only if needed. Super easy and independent check-in and out. Very homey feeling and great location!

Owner was very accommodating. Place had everything you need-well stocked. Very clean and bed was very comfortable. We liked the location because it was close to everything.

Murphy bed only ok. Electrical socket in bathroom would be an asset

The location was within walking distance from downtown as well as the trail head of Mt. Roberts. The space was clean and it was well stocked with kitchen utensils/supplies. The space fits three people comfortably. Check in was easy and there was even a parking space.

Stayed here for the folk fest, and it was perfect. Easy walk to all downtown and the warf area. Place was clean and convienient and had all you need for a pleasant stay. It may not work for you if you need fancy or chic, but was great for a retired couple that has roughed it in much worse conditions. This place was FAR from roughing it.

We had a wonderful stay at Metcalf Manor!! As soon as we walked in the door we felt like we were home. Very comfy, clean and well stocked in every room with whatever you might need. Sandy is so sweet and accommodating!! We travel a lot and have never walked into a place and felt like it is where we belonged for the moment! Will definitely recommend and stay again!

Great location- close to downtown

Kitchen was well stocked, the whole place was spotless and, in spite of my concerns, the Murphy bed was comfortable. I appreciated condiments in the fridge and the coffee grinder and coffee brewing options. It is an easy walk to downtown and I only needed a car one day for outlying sightseeing activities. The Capitol building, museums, and grocery stores are very close. I stayed for 1 week and had one night of noise from the apartments across the street. I think that’s a random thing. Some reviews said their stay was very quiet while others were warned that it is a “noisy” location. There is public street parking on one side of the apartment so there are comings and goings of neighbors - one morning at 2 and 3 a.m. The assigned parking place for the apartment is a valuable commodity for those with a car. The cleanliness and provisions like umbrellas, snacks, coffee, shampoo, soap, and nice towels were important to me. Washer and dryer worked great and detergent was available. Also, I am a woman traveling alone and felt very safe there.

We enjoyed our stay at this rental. The location is very convenient to downtown and many hiking trails. There is a grocery store a short walk away as well. The best part about our stay was how well stocked the apartment is. Sandy and Peter really thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook with as well as some pantry basics. There are games and books in the living room along with extra blankets. Laundry soap, dish soap, cleaning supplies, etc. We have stayed in other rentals and have to get by with the bare necessities or buy a lot of basic supplies. That is not the case here and we were so impressed!

This place was just perfect for our trip. The space is small but comfortable, with all the needed amenities. There's no view, but it is located in a beautiful and convenient part of town. We got around easily without a car. This place was a great value. We especially appreciated the art and informative books about the area.

Perfect little place walking distance to downtown, the flume walk, waterfront. Well stocked with tasty snacks and other little miscellaneous items to make for a comfortable stay. Owner was super responsive to our needs.

I definitely recommend this place. This unit is on the ground floor on a street locals tell me is busy but we found quite quiet-- so much better to be on a neighborhood street than in a downtown hotel! The owners have obviously taken good care with this unit-- high-quality linens and beyond fully stocked kitchen. Comfortable furniture that seems new. Great to have a washer and drier in the unit. Sandy responded to e-mails within minutes. Two of us were very comfortable. The kitchen is a great size for actual cooking.
