Paul was very kind and answered any questions we had about restaurants or beaches. The place is very clean... We used the pool almost everyday. View was amazing!

We had not been to the Big Island in years.Trying to figure out where to stay was a bit overwhelming. Thinking about location, we were very happy with the convenience of this place. The pictures of the residence were accurate and we enjoyes hearing and seeing the ocean from the bedroom. Paul and Kay were very responsive and even though we did not spend a lot of time in the rental, we appreciated both the welcome and the saying our goodbyes to this very lovely couple.

Everything about our recent stay was truly top-notch. We loved the suite, which was nicely sized for 2 adults and quite comfortable and quiet. The truly terrific part starts outside, of course, where there are several places to sit or lounge and enjoy the view and sounds of Heeia Bay, the incredible scenery and the lovely birds swooping and calling across the sky. We cooked on the grill and ate outside there often, as the excellent KTA market is just up the road a bit. We had the fortune of being there during a period of very calm water in the bay, and we snorkeled there most mornings before heading out to other activities, and sometimes again when we got home. There are lots of fish, and if you swim out to the left of the bay you'll eventually hit a coral ledge with lots to look at. We also walked over to the Outrigger hotel to watch the manta rays from their viewing platform, or over to the golf course where lots of people sit on the rocks to view great sunsets. Keauhou is lower-key than Kona proper, which we loved, and the quicker access to Captain Cook and Two Step is great. Paul is a terrific host who cares for his guests so kindly - always willing to go the extra mile while also giving you plenty of space to enjoy the property. We can't wait to be back!

I had the MOST amazing time at this property; it was so much better than the large resorts I typically visit! The backyard was the real gem - adorable fish-shaped pool surrounded by lush, mature foliage overlooking a beautiful small bay where the Manta Ray boats would head at night. My suite (there are two adjacent suites on the property) was clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything I needed for my four-night stay, including beach chairs and lots of beach towels. There was an AC unit and a fan in the each of the adjoined (but separable) bedroom and living room, but the weather was so beautiful with the breezes that I left my doors open and only used the fans. On top of that, the hosts were lovely! The property is close to Ali'i Drive and the Keauhou Shopping Center. Don't miss Peaberry and Galette, an AMAZING coffeehouse that serves incredible crepes. I'll definitely be back!

We arrived on our honeymoon and Paul and his wife welcomed us with hospitality. In addition to the fact that their house and the view are simply crazy!!! Everything was so clean and tidy. Our stay at Paul and Kays' home was amazing! They were such wonderful hosts, and their apartment was super clean, cozy and had everything we needed. The surroundings were absolutely breathtaking, with a stunning sea view and a well-maintained pool and sauna that made us want to stay longer. We can't wait to come back and experience it all over again!

We stayed at this amazing home for the second time (first time in 2017) and it was the perfect decision to return. This rental is an unbeatable location for privacy, ocean views and sounds, a spacious pool, and a great starting point for exploring the island. All amenities are provided, the property owner accommodating and easy to work with. When we return, we will definitely choose to stay here.

This was a joy to stay in and we were constantly surprised at how convenient it was. Our hosts left us valuable information about local tours and restaurants. The guidebook we found there was indispensable. When our pre-booked tour cancelled we followed the advise of our hosts and had a spectacular snorkel tour with vegetarian options! The guidebook steered us to some hidden amazing beaches. But as Paul said - you could also just look at the stars and ocean from the backyard. Amazing visit - thanks again - Mahalo!!!!

We absolutely loved Paul’s home. The area is a great location. It’s safe, 5 min walk to amazing snorkeling, clean pool and hot tub, clean interior and loved all the supplies for the beach. It is limited on kitchen supplies but for us it was everything we needed. We enjoyed our time and the unit next to us, the couple was so lovely. We drove to many spots in Kona and felt it wasn’t too far and loved that at night you can see all the manga ray tour lights out on the water from the house :) Paul was a great host. Easy to talked to and gave us space to enjoy our time. We would definitely recommend and would love to come back some day!

We had an amazing stay in Paul and Kay’s lovely home, the apartment was very comfortable and the local could not have been better.

Property location was amazing. The backyard has a beautiful crystal clean swimming pool, spacious patio and lawn chairs on the manicured lawn overlooking the ocean. The ocean is approximately 100 yards away with no homes blocking the view. The house had everything we needed. Paul was very hospitable.

This is our second year at Paul and Kay’s Keauhou property and it will not be our last. Ocean view, private pool, great location in Kona and close to all the kona highlights - this was a fantastic week and we look forward to coming back. Bryn and Lisa

The view itself is worth twice the price we paid- add in the safe neighborhood, ocean access, clean space and beautiful pool and hot tub, it’s all absolutely worthwhile. Hosts even provided us with snorkeling gear and advice for local spots to visit. We would choose this space over local hotels again in a heartbeat.

I must say when i booked this place i didn't realize that there was not a stove to use so I was a bit apprehensive . But in the end it made no difference at all as there was an electric pan and a fantastic gas grill that more than made up for it. The view from the lanai was amazing and the sound of the waves was fantastic. You could not ask for a more relaxing place to stay. The bed was very comfortable and we never had to put on the air conditioners as the breeze off of the ocean was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family. We loved staying here. It's a quiet residential neighborhood, but you're a 15 minute drive from downtown Kailua Kona and all sorts of shops and restaurants. It's an excellent base to both explore the island and just relax and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings at the property. You can walk in 7 minutes from the house to the docks where Sea Quest and various other companies depart for snorkeling tours, including the famous Night time Manta Ray snorkel. The back yard facilities at the house are excellent, the pool is very deep and has a color changing light for night swimming. Breathtaking sunrise and sunset from the lounge chairs in the yard overlooking Keahou Bay. I love to cook and was able to put together a couple of great meals with the equipment available (the grill and side burner and the toaster oven inside. There's also an electric griddle we didn't end up using that'd be good for pancakes) I recommend taking inventory before you go shopping if you plan to cook, sometimes previous guests will leave leftover essentials like salt and pepper, olive oil, soy sauce etc but it was pretty minimal. We were fortunate enough to make friends with the guests in the East unit who were there for their 3rd or 4th stay and left us some of their stuff they weren't going to use. They also had some excellent recommendations for restaurants in the area (Huggo's, Kona Grill House, Rebel Kitchen, and Hawaiian Style Cafe if you're heading over to The volcano park) We also went over to Greenwell Coffee Farm where they do free tours every hour where you can drink basically unlimited free coffee and learn about Kona coffee, it's history and the struggles the industry is presently facing. I hope we can come back again someday! This place seems to attract repeat guests, and I can definitely see why.

This private property is perfect if you want a quiet location, a pool shared by one other unit and the most beautiful view you could ask for. We’ve stayed here before and returned because of the owners who are lovely people and for the comfort of the unit and the closeness to things we like to do. I highly recommend this VRBO for couples! Great time. The location was perfect. We kayaked out of the bay and walked to the luau at the Outrigger. Lots of dolphins in the bay. The accommodations had everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful. We hope to come again.

We had a wonderful trip to the Kona area and really enjoyed our accommodations at this property. We were very comfortable and loved the pool and ocean views. We liked that it was close to the busy Kona area but not right in it. It was quiet and clean. the bed is comfortable. Paul is an excellent host. We would love to return!

This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The host does an amazing job of making sure you are happy and enjoying your stay. You are located right next to the path to a short walk to a beautiful beach with a great spot to sit and watch the sunset every night. Well maintained property with all of the amenities of home. The pool and spa overlooking the Pacific is the best. We we happy to be able to cook ourselves when we wanted to on the grill.

This gorgeous home is set up like a small "inn." Each unit has private entrance to lovely pool. Units are spacious and include all you need for a short or long stay. Hosts are quiet, kind and respectful of privacy. View from pool deck is gorgeous, overlooking small, black beach cove and ocean horizon. Grounds are meticulously maintained, as is pool. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, just a short drive to shops and restaurants. Excellent place to stay with all the amenities of a resort, but none of the crowds.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic just as the pictures show. Short walk to the bay for some snorkeling or swimming. Very quiet location. We loved the mornings listening to the waves and seeing the boats go out. The property is exactly as listed with everything you need. Very clean too. Short drive into Kona with all the restaurants and shops. Paul and his wife are great hosts although you barely know they’re there. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was true to description. There is a lovely view, pool, patio area, etc. I snorkeled in the bay several times - the access is right beside the property. Everything was clean and well stocked. The only downside was lack of a true kitchen (stove), but honestly we mostly ate out anyway. Kitchen was well stocked in every other way. Loved sleeping to the sound of the waves - the fans were enough to keep cool, but ac is available if you want it. Paul was a gracious host. All in all, great place in a fantastic location.

This property is a terrific find—it offers the chance to walk outside every morning to a gorgeous ocean view. The patio (with large pool) overlooks a beautiful small cove. A path that is steps away leads right down to this cove—3 minutes easy walk. The property is super clean and well organized and equipped for vacationers. It offers an amazing amount of pruvacy

Paul has set up everything you could ever need. Not to mention an ocean view and path down to the shore. The pool / hot tub were immaculate and really made the trip for us. Less than 10 min short drive to Kona stretch of shops and restaurants. Less than a mile from Kona Country Club. We were very pleased and recommend it highly.

Easy to find, check in was simple. The bed and other furniture is quite comfortable. But it’s the outdoor space and view that sold it to us.. Wonderful pool, comfortable lounge chairs and the ocean laid out in front of you! A quick walk down a short path and you can get your feet wet! In the morning you can relax and watch all the snorkeling boats and at night the Manta dives right there too! We didn’t want to leave!
