We had such a great week at the house. The house was perfect for our family of 5 plus dog. Everything was as described. Our children loved using the SUP we rented and paddling over to the lake beach. We used the paddle boat for fishing as well. We enjoyed using the fire pit and making S’mores . The beaches in the area are great, as are the restaurants. Lots of choice for activities and eats in Orleans and neighboring towns.

Our stay at 169 Monument Road exceeded our expectations. We could lounge on the deck and take in the ever changing lake-scape.The ease of stepping out the door and going for a swim or kayak on Pilgrim Lake was a highlight. Other years we stayed close to the ocean. But we would visit the ocean for a walk or sunset but prefer to be able to swim in the lake anytime. The house was so attractive with some pine wood finishes, big glass windows facing the lake and all of the charm of a country house and yet modern conveniences like the w/d and a/c, wi-fi and TV cable stations . We appreciated the art and decor too, really a home we were happy to live in for a wonderful Cape Cod vacation. An extra bonus was the raspberries that ripened on the arbor at the entrance of the house, We felt so peaceful and remote in the house, but stores, restaurants and nature walks were within a mile . Thank you for a lovely vacation.

Idyllic location, clean and comfortable, kayaks for daily paddles around the calm lake, waking up to the water view with so many chirping birds... Owner was accessible and very responsive. Overall a very relaxing week where we enjoyed all Orleans and the surrounding towns had to offer.

Couldn't have found a better hideaway on the Cape for a quick weekend trip. Collin's property is has the most to offer when it comes to location, view, and amenities. Loved the home, would definitely stay again!

Orleans is a great location and is close to everything

Idyllis setting on a lovely swimmable pond, shaded by tall trees. The cottage is totally private and quiet. The first morning we woke in the lovely master bedroom for a moment to a magnificent sunrise. Dropped off again, and found we slept better and more than ever. Outside a hammock, sloping lawn to the pond, and a large deck for eating, grilling or just relaxing. We especially appreciated having enough shade to feel cool. The house is lovely and cozy, very well updated without feeling it has been over-fancied up for rental. You get a feeling that it really is a home, which makes a big difference. Big kitchen which is easy to work in, a nice breakfast nook which we doubled as a computer space. The living room has been endowed with a raised ceiling and two sky-lights so it is bright and nice to be in in the day time. The bathrooms have been redone and are great. We only used one bedroom, but the other could be good for another couple or kids. We felt at home very soon and since we had a long stay, we really settled in. I never felt frustrated by anything practical. The owner is really wonderful and helped us on a couple of things where we were a bit stupid! It is a small modest and charming place, centrally located and very close to public tennis courts and the beach. We would go back for sure, if we get to make another trip to the Cape.

We absolutely loved our week in this great house located on a gorgeous pond. The lake view was beautiful and we loved swimming and kayaking every day. It is a short drive to beaches and hikes. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. We would love to come back!

This rustic cottage, with its lake front view, provided my family with a perfect setting for a relaxing and fun vacation. Despite terrific views of the lake from the master bedroom, breakfast room, and living room, the wooded surroundings provide wonderful privacy for the backyard and deck. All of us enjoyed kayaking around the lake and to the public beach. The fire pit was terrific too. Although the setting made us feel like we were "off the grid", the location in Orleans is quite central with grocery stores, restaurants, and the National Seashore just minutes away by car. Collin was a very responsive host.

We were lucky enough to stay for a month this summer. We have two boys (10 & 12) and over the month had a couple more kids over as well as several adults - the property had enough room and was comfortable enough to accommodate everyone of all ages. We spent hours fishing & kayaking on the lake, or swimming & floating - the proximity to Nauset & Skaket beaches (all just minutes away), plus the super convenient location (4 grocery stores, many local fresh farm stands and fresh seafood shops), and surf shops, shopping & galleries was amazing. I work in software engineering and was working during the weeks - the WiFi was pretty good most of the time but when the kids & adults were all on devices working & playing at once during rainy weekdays it definitely strained the WiFi. Not a big deal for most folks I would imagine without a pandemic and we were able to just watch the rain pour over the beautiful lake and immediately forgot our Zoom call woes. Everything was clean, there were plenty of blankets and towels, and the washer and dryer were large and perfect for keeping everything clean between beach days. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and serve all kinds of food, and the grill was clean and was a staple for us during the entire stay. We had vacationed around the vineyard and Nantucket before and I really feel like Orleans beaches & proximity to Wellfleet beaches for surfing was a significant upgrade ! There was even a pond just a 10 minute walk away that has sailing lessons and sailboats for rent with a beautiful river that leads to the ocean. We will be be back and I would recommend this property to anyone since there is so much to do!

Great location for enjoying the Cape. Direct access to Pilgrim Lake and close to food/shops in Orleans center. Not far from many beaches and other activities. Backyard is perfect, with hammock, great fire pit, and seating for lots of s'mores eaters. Perfect for bird watching, too.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming home. As others mentioned while the location is not that far from the highway, it feels very peaceful and remote. Waking up in the master bedroom, with wall to wall floor to ceiling windows overlooking the deck and pond was spectacular. The back yard is spacious and has a nicely appointed fire pit, picnic table, and yard. We loved having access to the rowboat and we had a wonderful time fishing with our children. The owner is very nice and quick to respond. Thank you!

My Grandchildren loved the lake and all the activies kayaking, using the rowboat and fishing. They were so excited to catch some fish. We were also able to do some wonderful sightseeing at Fort Hill and Eastham as well as Orleans. A wonderful vacation full of wonderful memories.

Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Felt like we were "off the grid" without actually being out of touch. Our dog, Fozzy, was wet and happy all week. Really Relaxing

This was my family's first visit to Cape Cod. Hailing from the northern Minnesota area, it was an entirely new experience. This trip provided many firsts, including our first experience with a vacation rental. Let me tell you, not only was it well worth it - the owner was incredibly helpful and provided a beautiful, well maintained place to stay. This sweet lakefront property provided enough to do for our young children while providing a relaxing escape for my husband and I. We would recommend this property and this owner wholeheartedly. Our vacation would not have been the same without this beautiful rental and the escape it provided.

We had a peaceful extended stay at this lovely home right on the bass filled Pilgrim Lake. The home was clean and offered enough space to relax. The lake view is from the large master bedroom was very tranquil. We also enjoyed the same view while eating in front of the spacious bay window. We were lucky to have a warm and sunny October. This allowed us to enjoy sunrises and sunsets with just a short drive as the house is convenient to both the ocean and bay. The owners provided use of a couple of kayaks that we used often on the serene lake. Although the "Dagger" style boat was a little difficult to master. The 2nd bedroom is a little small. Dominated by the twin bunk bed. But our occasional quests did not spend too much time there. It also as the added bonus of being dog friendly. The trash and recycling pick up was appreciated as well. The hosts were very available and responsive will all our communications. All and all it was a lovely and comfortable way to spend the month of October.

The cottage and the property are a little slice of heaven. We had a wonderful visit and can't wait to go back every year

We enjoyed everything the pilgrim lake house has to offer. Quaint , bright but a tucked into the woods feel. Very private ,teens and dogs had a blast, what a wonderful spot.

My mother and I along with my pup had a great week on Pilgrim Lake @ Collin and Liz's home. Collin was easy to communicate with in terms of confirming our stay. Everything was as described. The home is down a long driveway, so the privacy was wonderful but you didn't feel like you were in the middle of nowhere. Quick trip to the beach/town and only 40-45 minutes to Ptown so it is truly in a great location. Being on the water is fabulous, waking up and having your coffee on the deck, having a fire at night...just a lovely home to spend your week on the Cape in. The kitchen had all you needed, and the living room had many games/books/TV/wifi for a rainy day. Truly a great and special find for a couple, mother-daughter trip or small family!

This was a perfect choice for a relaxing getaway. Although it was the winter I have family locally but we wanted to have some additional space of our own and be able to visit. The bedroom overlooks a beautiful pond view, and was simply perfect to wake up to. This was a fairly last minute trip and Collin was prompt responding and very accommodating. This was a short trip to solely unwind and relax, and this property offers privacy, cozy living space and quick drive to town. I am looking forward to spending some time here in the summer months to take advantage of the adorable grounds, fire pit and outdoor shower. I truly appreciated the follow up from Collin after our visit and the ease of making the reservation. I highly recommend this property if you are planning a getaway or a long term visit. Simply charming

We had the opportunity to enjoy living at this outstanding Cape home for a month, and the memories will last a lifetime. Close to it all, yet tucked away on Pilgrim Lake, outdoor activities were plentiful. The best part is that the dogs also had a great time with us. If you want to truly experience life on the Cape, it doesn't get better than this. We would definitely stay again, and wish we were still there.

My wife and I rented this amazingly peaceful and comfortable cottage for a quiet Thanksgiving and it was PERFECT. The weather was favorable enough for us to blaze some morning fires in the outdoor fire pit, which was an incredible way to start the day while we sipped our coffee. The kitchen was roomy and well-equipped for cooking our holiday meal, and the little dining table by the bay window overlooking the lake was a super-romantic spot to enjoy our meal. (The full moon that night, reflected on the surface of the lake, didn't hurt.) The patio off the master bedroom is another zen spot for morning yoga or just sitting and watching the swans float by. Speaking of the master bedroom, it's spacious, the bed is big and comfy, and you wake up to gorgeous panoramic views of the water. We didn't use the second bedroom but plan to when we return with our four kids, who will fit perfectly in the double bunkbeds. The whole house has a cozy, woodsy feel that's perfect for a romantic getaway for two or a family adventure. Collin, the owner, was super-responsive to our questions while booking and during our stay. Can't recommend this place highly enough and can't wait to return!

We spent the second week of August at the lake house on Pilgrim Lake in Orleans. The house and its surroundings were so lovely, we always felt like we were on vacation just sitting on the deck that overlooks the lake. If it got warm, we jumped into the lake. If we wanted to be alone and read, we lay in the comfy hammock. Ready for an adventure? Go out in one of the kayaks or the rowboat to explore Pilgrim lake. The house had just about everything one could want in a summer rental!!!!

The house is nice and well laid-out with the back bedroom and deck overlooking the water and it had everything needed for a great, pre-season get-a-way. The house is set back off the road and is situated so you have a feeling of privacy and it is very convenient to town and the national seashore. Pilgrim Pond is a beautiful, quiet pond with a resident swan and nesting ospreys; we counted at least 18 different species of birds right from the back deck! The water was clear and the swimming was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay here (as did our two dogs), and Collin was responsive and answered all our questions quickly and accurately. I'd love to return someday.

This house was perfect for a summer Cape Cod vacation! It was secluded so it provided such a quiet, tranquil environment, right on the lake! The available kayaks were such a wonderful addition! We made good use of the fire pit and the grill, and the outside deck was used for every meal! It was just a beautiful setting! One of the best added features was the outdoor shower! The weather really cooperated, so the outdoor shower was a treat you just don't get at home! The location was perfect, close to great restaurants, the national seashore and the rail trail. We couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation! A quiet location, yet close to all the activities you'd need. It was a perfect mix.
