Used the house for a fishing trip with a bunch of friend. House was very nice and the hosts were great.

We took all of our Teen to Twenties children and their friends for a Bahamas getaway. The house was wonderful and plenty roomy for 10 of us. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with great boat access. A skiff and kayaks are available for use if you don’t have your own boat. The owners and their son were very responsive to our needs and questions. Their proximity (on a boat next door) was great for us as they even helped us fix our boat. They were not intrusive at all and it seemed that we only saw them when we needed them. Bob, Carol and Richard are great hosts. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very nice and convenient

We had a great trip to the Bahamas, and this house was a good base. We enjoyed using the boat and kayaks and the car to get around, and snorkeling in the canal was fun too.

Check in was easy. Owners arranged taxi pick up at the airport for all 9 of us. The home is beautiful and accommodated the 9 of us easily. They kept the pool clean and are easily available for questions. The house comes with a mini van that seats 9 (very convenient for getting around the island), and a small boat that seats four. Kayaks are also available. We loved the entire experience.

The Eddington’s met us at the front door - one of the easiest check-in’s we’ve experienced. They stayed on the house boat on the canal which Was a PLUS in our eyes. Always available to answer questions and lead us in the right direction - whether general questions about the house, Freeport, and their life on the island. Richard, their son, was phenomenal in every way! Having a boat and car was a tremendous help in navigating and exploring. Would we come back again? ABSOLUTELY!

This was one of the best vacations we've ever had. The house (and the hosts) were perfect. The house has everything you need and the pool is lovely (and plenty of space for a large family). We took our boat over from Florida and it had issues upon arriving. Bob and his family went above and beyond and supported us with finding/fixing the issues. It would have been a nightmare if we didn't have them. We will be back soon.. Cheers!

As a group of five adults and two teens, we could not have found a better home for our first trip to the Bahamas. Each morning began by the pool overlooking the canal and each evening ended either in the pool or on a lounge chair stargazing or both. The neighborhood is very quiet and calm, but is close enough to many services and attractions: the grocery store is less than ten minutes away by car; Tiano Beach is a bit over ten; Banana Bay is a bit over fifteen, and Paradise Cover is about thirty. As a former British colony, driving is on the left and the wheel is on the right. For someone used to the opposite, it was a blast! The home owners were not only beyond helpful with suggestions and advice, they are very enjoyable people. Each question or concern was handled with speed and ease. This also holds true for many of the Bahamian people we met. Even complete strangers went out of the way to help us during the Goombay festival. I truly can't wait to return to Freeport and this home.

Choosing Freeport and not knowing quite what to expect following hurricane Dorian 2 years ago and the Covid lockdown was a real concern. But I can tell you without a doubt Freeport seemed almost totally back to normal. Our stay at this property was absolutely splendid. Bob and Carol, the hosts, made our trip exceed our expectations as they were so very helpful in many ways, especially in deciding on places to visit and dine out. The home is beautiful and was perfect in every way meeting our needs. You will love it!

We rented the home with a group of 14 friends (mostly couples) for a fishing trip (arriving by boat). The house amenities were great and the location was perfect to fit our needs. Plenty of space to park our boats. We really enjoyed the pool and the large living spaces.

This place was the perfect spot for us to land for a week in the Bahamas. The owners lived on a boat outside the property in the cannel and were very responsive to all our messages and were great people to visit with. They have tons of island knowledge having lived there for quite a while. The house was perfect, two masters, with an additional 1 1/2 baths, perfect bunk room for kids and super comfortable. Two seating areas inside and a covered porch by the pool meant everyone had space to spread out. There was even an office for the little bit of work that needed to be done while we were there. I cannot recommend this place enough, we will be back at some point for sure and I can't imagine being anywhere else.

We stayed for nine days in this beautiful home. The owners were absolutely AMAZING answering all of our questions from grocery store locations to the best fishing guides in the area. I highly recommend this home if you’re looking for a great place to stay in Freeport. The location is very convenient whether going by land or water. I cannot say enough nice things about the owners and the property. Highly recommended!!!

This was a great house in a great location on the island and I highly recommend. The house was bigger and nicer than we expected and exceeded all our expectations and needs. The owner was readily available and made the entire process go supper smooth. He also provided great recommendations for dining, fishing, and airport transfers. The use of the minivan and boat were added bonuses. I would definitely return.

The owner was very nice, the house was nice but the location on this particular Bahama island, without your own boat, is not ideal. There's just not much to do with children. The restaurants are very much on 'island time' and we would show up at noon to feed hungry children and no staff would have arrived yet. One item about the house we wish was listed in the listing is that the owner's middle-aged son is living on his boat at the dock of the house. We felt this should have been disclosed on the listing as we have children and found this to be a bit odd that he was basically out in the backyard the whole time and would pop up out of nowhere in the backyard. Just wish we knew this up front and would likely have picked a different property.

6 adults and 1 teenager stayed at Bahama Reef at the end of February and we loved it. The house and pool were great and as the pictures show. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and 2 meals for dinner. The Errington's had to go out of town and their son Richard was our host. He helped us with restaurants, stores etc. My husband fished off the floating dock every afternoon and night. The 4 man boat and mini van were a bonus. We enjoyed tooling around in the canals. I would say that the mini van seats 6 adults comfortably. I would definitely recommend staying here while on Grand Bahama.

The house was beautiful and the owners were so friendly and helpful. We had a great time taking the boat out and docking it at the nearby private beaches. Having the vehicle was so convenient! We hated to leave and would definitely rent this house again!

This home was perfect for our family. We hung out at the pool everyday. Close to several beaches, stores, Covid Test sites. The host was nearby for help. Excellent property!

The house and property were beautiful and well-represented on the VRBO website. Minutes from Lucaya Beach, Freeport and the airport. The house is spacious and well appointed , extremely well kept up, spotless and comfortable. We had 3 adult couples, a teen and her 12 year old brother and we all had plenty of space. The property comes with an 8 seat van (a little tight with our group but we made it work) and a small runabout (for the 3 minute ride to the beach just out side the jetty). The nearby Ocean Reef (3 minutes by car) has a nice restaurant and a good dive shop. Bob and Carole (and their son, Richard) were delightful. Very accommodating and had wonderful recommendations for restaurants, grocery stores and wine/liquor shops. We even had a concierge medical team that came to the house to do our required returning Covid tests with results in 2 hours (Can't find that in the States!) Grand Bahama is still rebuilding (3 years after the devastation of Dorian). They are still using bottled water and ice and many of the shops and resorts are still closed. We did not find this to be a deterrent to our good time. The beaches are plentiful, beautiful and practically deserted during the week. The water was crystal clear and the diving and snorkeling easily available. Everyone we met on the island was welcoming and friendly. It was the least stressful and one of the most enjoyable family trips we have taken. I would highly recommend Grand Bahama to anyone. Especially if you stay with the Errington family and enjoy their beautiful home.

The owners are very communicative and strive to ensure your satisfaction. In fact, they met us at the dock upon arrival and helped us tie up the boat and hung out long enough to ensure we had everything we need. The property is well kept and has everything you'd need from a VRBO house. My only suggestion for the owner is to create one additional convenience for larger vessels. The floating dock onsite is great. However, it may be advantageous to add a anchor ball 65'-70' from the shore so large vessels can tie a line to the ball in lieu of having to set an anchor daily. On my trip, I had a crew that was against setting an anchor. That first night we had a nasty storm and I was glad we set the anchor. If I plan to bring my family back I'd like this convenience to ensure securing the boat nightly does not become overly laborious at the end of a long day. Thank you!

Our family stayed for a weeks vacation, the house fit all of needs. Bob, Carole and Richard gave us great recommendations for all the local spots to eat and visit. We hope to get back over there someday soon. We would highly recommend staying here for your vacation.

While I doubt that we will go to grand Bahamas again, this was a very good property and they were any number of unique beaches and bars and restaurants to go to. We did not realize how much the hurricane and damaged grand Bahamas

This was an adult family get together and the house seemed ideal, especially since the use of a vehicle and boat were included. We were not disappointed in the house but the island as a whole is still recovering from Hurricane Dorian. The locals are hurting but we supported the economy going fishing, golfing, and eating out a lot. The house fulfilled our needs. No fresh water was a little bit of a pain (the storm surge did a number on the water supplies) so water bottles, ice etc were on our shopping list as well as some of the basics like coffee, laundry detergent (only enough for one load) etc. Shopping is expensive! Over all the place fit our needs and had the basics to make do. The real bummer, and our mistake in reading the details, was that there wasn't a hot tub. The spa is an extension of the non-heated pool so served no purpose. It gets quite chilly at night and the constant wind doesn't help so this would have been a nice addition. Our hosts were delightful and lived on their boat moored at the property while we stayed there. They were available as needed and were fellow Brits....an added bonus point!

What a wonderful experience. Our family of 8 adults fit into this house with no problem whatsoever. Bob and Carol are wonderful hosts that respected our privacy the entire time we were there, but if we needed their advise they were there. The amenities included (use of the car and the skip) with the property certainly made our stay much more enjoyable. When our travels take us back to the Bahamas we certainly will be in touch. Bob and his family are great place is excellent I have traveled all over the world 57 countries 330 days a year on average for the last 20 years This by far is the best property and most hospitable i have ever experienced I have already booked or next stay in January

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful, clean, property! Everything was as described and pictured. Lots of extras made the stay extra enjoyable! We will be back.

Our family of 7 enjoyed an amazing vacation at Bob and Carole’s home. They were the best hosts, very friendly and helpful. My son-in-law brought his boat over which he docked right there at the house. Access to the Atlantic Ocean was short and easy. The pool was clean and perfect for relaxing in the sun. The house was large enough to give us all plenty of space and the kitchen was huge and had everything we needed to prepare meals with the fresh fish we caught. We would definitely stay here again if we plan another vacation in the Bahamas. Thank you Bob and Carole! We loved meeting you and feel like we have two new friends!
