We stayed here first about 9 years ago. It was a great experience then and even better now. So many upgrades! Kitchen is lovely and very well stocked. Living room is very comfortable. Gated deck is great, as we have a dog and it felt very safe for the pup and also for the 2.5 year old grandson. Bedrooms are small, but adequate. The mattresses in the front and rear bedroom off the kitchen are in need of new mattresses, but it wasn't enough to keep us from wanting to come back.

Everything was perfect. We have never been to Emerald Isle and we absolutely loved it and this home. It is everything that is described and more.

Property was exactly as advertised as just as good as the first time we were there, which was our reason for returning. Beach was awesome. Stayed with our dog who loved her daily beach walks. We had a minor issue with the new fridge, but Barry was right on top of things and kept constant touch with us while the freezer was worked on. Barry is a wonderful person. He happens to come from the State we live in and we had a wonderful conversation about old times with him. He even gave us a referral for a local doctor should my husband need to see someone. Could not ask for a better place, location or owner. We will be back and urge anyone who is considering this location to take advantage of the place to stay. 100% Awesome!

Amazing

There's something really special about having your own walk way to the beach. The weather wasn't perfect in March but it was nice to watch the larger than normal waves from the comfort of the couch! Great stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, bright and had everything we needed. Walk out the door and your on the beach! Barry was very thorough in communicating. I highly recommend this wonderful home.

This was our second stay at Barry's beach house on Emerald Isle. We can't say enough positive things abut it. The location can't be beat...just steps from the beach. Although we stayed in February, which isn't considered beach weather, we enjoyed our morning tea/coffee inside while enjoying the ocean view. The beach was perfect for walking throughout the day, not crowded this time of year and so peaceful. Barry has thought of everything as far as amenities. We didn't do much cooking, but he is fairly well stocked with dishes, cookware, etc for what we did need. The house is very nice and was clean and comfortable. We needed a relaxing week and that's just what we got.We hope to return next year.

This is our second stay at Seahorse East. Hands down the best location with easy beach access, full beach and dolphin views, and the comforts of home away from home.

This is the most amazing cottage on the beach! It is so cozy and perfect. We have stayed here multiple times and are so happy every time! It has everything you could possible need or want. We will be staying here again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is our favorite place to stay. For the last several years, between Christmas and New Years, we have loved staying at this great beach house. We can’t wait until next year. Five stars all the way!!!!!

This property was very comfortable. Owner has thought of everything one could need during their stay. Kitchen was well equipped, beds so comfy, Views were beautiful. I hope to return one day!

We stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday and had the most wonderful time! The home is clean, well furnished, and the location/view can't be beat. We will be back!

Barry has thought of absolutely everything to make sure his guests have a 5-star vacation. The property is extremely clean, inviting, cozy and well maintained. From the light switches to the remotes, all are labeled with helpful and clear instructions. Check-in and checkout were made very easy by the host. We loved being directly oceanfront. The location was great for short trips to grocery stores, surf shops, museums, antique shops and local artisans. We hope to get to stay at Seahorse again soon. Thank you Barry!

Comfortable porch with lovely views. Plenty of room in the living area. Kitchen was well equipped. Just a few stairs in the front and a quick walk to the beach! Great location!

My wife, son, and I stayed at this beautiful beach house the first week of October 2023 and had the best time! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Barry could not have been a better host. Absolutely Wonderful

The location is right on the beach. It’s perfect. This was our 2nd year staying here and will be booking it again for next year.

The weather was absolutely perfect for Labor Day week! The home was clean, comfortable and ideal for our family. The dogs enjoyed the stay as well! Barry was very prompt and over accommodating with everything. One of the best homes we’ve stayed in and will definitely be returning ;)

This lovely home is super clean. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets extremely soft. There were plenty of pillows on all the beds. The kitchen is very well stocked. The best part, obviously, is the location. It looks EXACTLY as it is depicted; right on the beach. We had three gorgeous days on the beach, the water was crystal clear and the warmest I've ever felt. Unfortunately, we left on Wednesday morning due to Idalia. I have no experience with tropical storms/hurricanes. I spoke with a few home owners Tuesday afternoon on the beach and they said they were leaving; that was my decision maker. I would 100% stay here again. Barry is an excellent host and very responsive.

Cute, nicely decorated cottage on the beach. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need including a full assortment of spices/herbs and nice plates/glassware. Communication with owner was very quick and easy. Location is an ideal spot as its pretty much equidistant to go into Emerald Isle shops/restaurants, as well as Atlantic Beach. Nice quiet neighborhood to walk your dog or ride a bike. Beautiful view from deck, especially if you are sitting on the rocking chairs. Tons of beach chairs and boogie boards available. Very comfortable beds and pillows! Quick and easy access to the beachfront right outside the back door. My one recommendation to the owner is to consider switching out the shorter rectangle wicker table with some bar height polywood chairs for additional views of the ocean. Thanks for a great stay.

Barry thought of everything to make our stay a pleasant one. From beach equipment to starter soaps and paper products, the house was well appointed. The oceanfront deck was breezy and a great shady spot with plenty of seating. Comfy house in a great location!

The house is just as advertised. Easy to access the beach and relax in the quiet. House is very clean, well maintained, and stocked with essentials. We appreciated the ease of charging stations and the pantry space in the kitchen. Great spaces for card games and outdoor meals as well. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time. The house was convenient to everything. Kitchen had all the necessities. There were chairs, boogie boards and everything needed for hanging out on the beach. Barry was great to communicate with. All we needed was a couple more weeks there!

Quiet, yet close enough to the stores and restaurants.

Everything about our stay from start to finish was truly amazing. Barry is extremely responsive and the amenities he provides for the property are second to none. We enjoyed the quite peaceful days on the beach with the section of the island being very quiet and a little more secluded from the busier sections closer to the point and Indian Beach. Our Golden loves the beach and it was great having a closer in deck for him to dry out and relax on after the long sandy days at the beach. We’ve already booked our stay for 2024 and can’t wait to go back!

This is our second time staying at east Seahorse, it’s our home away from home. We live on the porch!! That’s our favorite. Barry is the perfect host! If you have a problem he is Johnny on the spot.
