The back patio is where you might be if not at the beach: 85F pool, dining table, lounging area (with ceiling fan to conquer the no-see-ums), and propane grill. Internet connectivity was suitable for work and play. Roku and Chromecast devices were available. Unrelated: Grab the groceries from Detwiler's but if you need something quick, hit up Mad Dogs.

This house was so beautifully decorated. It was an extremely comfortable house. The pool area was very well furnished to be able to spend the day/night outside. Super close to the beach and the neighborhood was super peaceful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Great great place and service.

This home was beautiful just like the pictures show. We had access to the garage door opener thing that goes into the vehicle which was so handy and the ferry pass to use to get to the semi-private beach. Super cozy and comfortable. Felt like it could have been our own home. The only problem we had with the home was the dryer took a long time to dry. We had to run it multiple times to get things dry. That made it hard with how many towels we were using between the beaches, pool, and showering.

We have stayed in many homes in the area over the past 10 yrs and this one has been the best. First off, let me tell you that the master bedroom mattress provided the best nights sleep ever, we are buying one for our home!! The house is extremely clean and organized. This rental has everything you need to spend the day at the beach and provides everything you need to cook meals. Thank you Doug and Patti for sharing your beautiful home with us in paradise. We will be back!

We enjoyed this home. The neighborhood is in transition from original homes to more updated / new homes. We appreciated communicating with the property owner directly vs. thru VRBO. Owners were very accommodating and quick to reply. Great having access to ferry boat to private beach where shark toorh hunting was fun.

Great property. Great location. Had everything we wanted and more. Pool, ferry pass, modern amenities, beach chairs, beach towels, kayaks, life jackets, bikes, etc. We really enjoyed biking and walking over to South Venice Lemon Bay preserve.

Well-stocked with everything from dishwasher soap to paper towels and spices, we felt very much at home. The pool was spotless, the house itself was also quite clean and new. This was our best vacation ever! The home was very clean and accommodating. My youngest wanted to stay there and enjoy the home and pool more but we had things to do every day. One of our favorite things to do was to take the provided beach chairs and umbrella to Nokomis beach and spend several hours experiencing the beach life. The South Venice Beach accessed by the ferry pass was nothing short of breathtaking!! The location of this house was perfect and left us dreaming of making South Venice our home! Derek and Patti have been blessed with quite a gem! We are so grateful they have provided a comfortable place to relax and make memories with family. Snook Haven was by far the best eats we had all week! Super friendly and we even got to see a baby alligator in the wild! Some must visit again places : South Jetty, Sharky’s on the Pier, Maxine Barritt Park, Mad Dog Hotdog, and last but definitely not least, Shamrock Park for an evening walk and wild animal viewing. We plan to visit this home away from home again!

the whole experience with this property went superbly. The house is new (2018 ) and so everything was bright and shiny. The owners responded quickly to questions. The pool was wonderful and we were very comfy there. We will return someday.

Our family has travelled all over the world and stayed in many online vacation rentals. This was one of our favorites. The house is new and very well constructed. It is impeccably maintained. The efficiency of space was on point! The pool was great and the smaller size was perfect for our small children. The kids swam all day long when we weren't at the beach and the adults enjoyed the nice patio furniture. We didn't use the pool fence but it was nice to know it was there. All of the linens were high quality. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen supplies/appliances and tools. We loved taking walks and bike rides in the neighborhood. The highlight of our stay here was taking the ferry to the beach. You feel like you have a private beach all to yourself! It's amazing! I am a Florida native and it's as close to untouched as you are going to get! And a great outdoor shower at the house when you get back! I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. We cannot wait to come back and stay in S. Venice!

This property fit our needs perfectly. My Lady cousins and I enjoyed this home in a quiet neighborhood in Venice, Florida. The home was immaculate with new furnishings. The passes to the private beach was a nice feature. Families would enjoy the bicycles, kayaks, and games provided. Book early this home is a gem.

We arrived two days after Christmas and spent the week. The house was above and beyond what we expected. Everything was very clean and as described. We had an amazing week and can’t wait to go back.
