Review of our stay in Paterson, NJ. It wasn’t the worst place I’ve stayed in, but it also wasn’t the best. Here’s a list of pros and cons.
Pros
The area was nice and did meet out needs as far as accommodations and close to attractions.
Owner allowed us to check in early.
Mattresses had mattress covers.
Some kitchen appliances were furnished.
The house was clean on the surface.
Tv’s are located in the living room as well in each bedroom.
High chair, booster and playpen available in the unit.
Central Air was definitely a plus.
WIFI code provided.
Cons
Shower heads were filthy and had to be cleaned.
2nd bathroom drain is clogged up with hair.
Need more cooking pans, small spoons, mixing bowls, hand mixer, extra paper towels and toilet paper.
Pot holders needed in the kitchen.
Gas stove was not working properly, It had to be lit with lighter and had a strong gas smell.
Outdoor chairs on patio would have been nice.
Hot water gets extremely hot.
Mold located in the 1st bathroom ceiling.
Tenants living in bottom apartment using the driveway parking space.
In the kitchen and bathroom, everything was constantly wet.
Balcony not secure or sturdy.
Gas stove is not kid friendly.
Sofas was a bit small and unable to accommodate all 8 of us.
Beds were extremely squeaky and loud in the master.
Loud gun shots or fire works every night.

Great place near NYC to stay for our family of six. Clean, well-appointed and safe apartment. The owner was very responsive before and during our stay. We had a great time and would stay again if ever in the area!

Perfect for a family. It had all your necessities for a baby, children and family. Not too far from NY. The house was clean. Check in & check out was smooth. Communication before, during & after our stay was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you again!

We had two families stay here. The kids had a blast. The home smelled so clean when we arrived. Amazing pillows. Short trip to American Dream Mall and the host provided easy directions for a day trip to New York!

The place was nice overall but the neighborhood was old and run down. Hot water temperature was so hot it could scald you. One of the beds broke the first night but was fixed the very next day but still squeaked. Everything we needed was there and we had plenty of room. Take note that this is a second floor walk up in case anyone has trouble with stairs.

We recently stayed here as a family of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. The location was safe and near grocery stores and dining and takeout options. Overall a very pleasant stay!

Great Location!
Plenty of space and all the necessities of home. The location was perfect for our needs- we were in New Jersey for a family reunion and celebration- and the places we needed to go were within 5-10 miles.
Giuseppe was a great host and available to help us when we reached out. Overall, great stay :)

Great Property for a NJ/NYC stay
This was our second time staying at this property, the first one with our almost one-year-old granddaughter.
As before, the place was spotless and well-appointed. What we didn't plan to find was the portacrib, pack-n-play, and high chair! We were going to borrow these items from my sister, but didn't have to.
When we discovered a few minor issues, we contacted Giuseppe and they were taken care of the next day. (Thanks!)
This is the perfect place for anyone who is coming to NJ but would like easy access to NYC. Last time we stayed here for my niece's wedding. This time it was for her baby shower. A Saturday trip into the city to meet up with some friends for brunch and to attend a performance at The Met was an easy drive in and back.

Great Experience
I visited New Jersey and NYC with my husband and 5 young children. This property was perfect for us. It is an easy drive from here to NYC and it has just the right amount of space. Joe (Giuseppe, the owner) was easy to work with and quick to respond to texts. This property was very clean and nicely updated with beautiful finishes. I do, however, have a few recommendations for future guests: A stopper/strainer for the kitchen sink drain, stoppers for the bathtubs in case guests would like to take a bath instead of a shower, wash cloths and hand towels for the bathrooms, more kitchen dish towels (there was only one) and a few dish cloths, too, These few items would have made the stay more comfortable, however we still enjoyed our 5 nights there. Thanks again, Joe!

Better than I expected.
The only complaint I have about this place is from my son. One remote didn't have batteries hahaha. We have an outstanding time. The owner Giuseppe was friendly and answered any and all questions. The place was super clean, more than enough space for the family. The area is quiet and the block has plenty of parking including the driveway which was reserved for our vehicle.

We could have had 2 outside garbage containers . Since it was 6 people there needed more toilet paper, garbage bags. Would have been nice to have a nightstand in bedroom and mirror, rug when first come in to hold shoes

Wonderful
We had a wonderful stay in Paterson, easy access to local transportation to New York at the train station. We picked this location because it was centrally located between Boston and DC. We traveled to DC, Boston and 2 days in New York by the NJ transit line. The host was wonderful to work with and the house was as described. This location was perfect for our group of 9. The pillows and beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was safe and had no issues with any locals when walking to the train station at night with our group. Our biggest tip for those traveling to this area, E85 is difficult to find, a station at 205 Sanford in East Orange was the only one locally, go during the day. Beer or liquor stores close very early in the Paterson area, get those during the day before they all close. Thank you again to our host for our wonderful stay.

I really enjoyed my stay here I felt safe and secure with my group of ladies
This is a great spot to stay we all enjoyed our self there were stores that were close and convenient we were able to get in and out the house was very comfortable clean and well-kept I love the idea that everybody had a TV in their room the only thing that I would recommend would be a pot set for cooking yes they had a few things but really needed a pot set and also a large mirror maybe on the hallway wall or on the back of the bathroom door this is for ladies or men we like to make sure we are looking good before leaving the house we had a lot of events for my birthday and we all have to get dressed but we didn't have a mirror to look in overall a very safe and quiet environment I loved everything about it I would recommend this probably to anyone

Great Property!
Apartment was lovely and no problems accommodating our party of 7. Drive into NYC takes about 40 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. Owner maintained excellent communication during stay.

Great place to stay in a safe neighborhood.
Our family of 6 had plenty of room. There was easily room for 10 people since we had 2 beds we did not use. There is quick access to public transportation, but it was cheaper for a group our size to drive in and park for the day in NYC. There are local stores close by and the neighborhood is friendly. There is a Wal-Mart Supercenter about 15 minutes away and a Walgreen as well. If you are looking for a place with a full kitchen and room for a big family near NYC here is a great choice. The owner lives on-site and communicates quickly and goes the extra mile to provide absolute customer service. Good people doing honest business. What a pleasant surprise to find Southern hospitality in the middle of winter so far from our home in Georgia.

Family NY Trip
Our family stayed here while touring NYC, Patterson and Wallkill. We found the owner Joe to be very hospitable. Even before we booked the property he answered all of our questios in a very fast manner. He checked in via text or email regularly and made us feel comfortable during our stay. He made sure all our questions and concerns were addressed. As for the house, we were a family of 12, 7 adults and 5 kids ages 6-16. We found the house overall to be comfortable, clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. The only thing missing in the kitchen was bakeware. There were nice updates throughout. There are areas that are starting to show signs of some touch up maintenance needed. I only mention this because it is labeled a luxury hosue. The master bedroom beds were nice, the other 2 bedroom beds are okay and could use an upgrade to a better quality. It was a nice location with easy access to where we wanted to go. When we first pulled up to the house we were a little unsure of the neighborhood as we were driving nice vehicles. That being said we found the neighbors to be very friendly and felt safe during our stay. We would recommend staying here for anyone traveling with a group or with a large family.

Would possitively stay again
We were a family of 3 adults and 3 children. Things were clean, modern and we had plenty of room. Flat screen TVs in all bedrooms and living room. Giuseppe responded quickly to our communique and concerns. Quiet neighborhood, we felt safe inside and outside. Easy access to I-80. Costco and Walmart only 10-15 minutes away. (only 2 bathrooms on main floor apt) Would definitely stay here again in the future if in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at Giuseppe's place. We thoroughly used every aspect of the home with no major issues. The location was central to the touring we did within 3 days between the city and upstate NY. In particular, it was nice to be able to go barefoot on the floors because they were clean and hardwood, no carpet. The kitchen supplies may need to be checked as there were a few missing items, such as no cookie sheet and only 8 dinner plates.

We had the pleasure of renting this great apartment a few weeks ago...
The 5 of us (3 adults and 2 children) arrived from Europe late in the evening, not knowing what to expect. But as we arrived, the landlord (Joe), was already at the sidewalk meeting us. After a very informative introduction and a quick tour of the house, Joe left us for the night.
Well rested and after a quick first morning breakfast, we started enjoying the benefits of the location of the house.
We had a rental car, and easily within 25 minutes drive, you can park your ride a block away from Times Square. Easy access to freeways makes it very convenient to get around.
I soon became obvious that the house was the perfect "nest" for our family trip. Sufficiently equipped and clean.
The neighborhood is very quiet, and there is even a small playground just down the road.
To top it off, Joe is the most helpful and welcoming landlord you can get. We only had a few minor questions, but he went "all in" to help out.
We had a great time, and will definitely go back!

Owner was very helpful through email and phone and greeted us at check in. Gave us you of house and tips on getting around. Place was immaculate and beds were comfortable. My kids were upset we ran to the city so much so they couldn't enjoy it more. I was nervous about Patterson based on my relatives comments about the area but everyone was friendly and diner nearby was reasonable. Only negative was having to drive in to the city but honestly worth the cheaper price to stay in a bigger place. Owner messaged to make sure we were satisfied daily which was a nice touch. I would stay again for sure.

The house was clean and well stocked with all the necessary things needed for our stay. Joe was friendly, honest, and very helpful. We enjoyed the fact the location made it easy to get to where we wanted to be and was in a decent neighborhood. We would definitely stay again and will recommend to anyone who asks.
